Adam Sandler Announces 25-Date Comedy Tour in North America: 'Let's Have Some Fun'

Adam Sandler is going back on the road!
The comedian, 57, announced on social media Wednesday that he'll be embarking on a comedy tour in North America from October to December, with 25 dates in total throughout the U.S. and Canada. The run of shows, titled the I Missed You Tour , is set to kick off Oct. 12 in Vancouver.
"Let’s have some fun," Sandler captioned an Instagram trailer, which included clips of him playing the guitar, taking some crowd selfies at a handful of shows and getting plenty of laughs.
The latest run of shows follows the Uncut Gems actor's Adam Sandler LIVE gigs, which concluded in April. The I Missed You Tour — which is produced by Live Nation — features stops in Portland, San Jose, Toronto, Memphis, Salt Lake City, Rochester, Minneapolis, Oklahoma City, and beyond — with a final date on Dec. 12 in Denver.
Live Nation ticket presale kicks off at 12 p.m. local time on Thursday, with a Ticketmaster general sale starting at 12 p.m. local time on Friday.
Actor Pauly Shore shared his excitement under Sandler's Instagram post with the comment, "Daaaaa Sand man is back boom boom broozzz."
Sandler's tour announcement arrives shortly after he and his family starred in the Netflix teen film You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah , which followed the crew as they navigated planning the perfect bat mitzvah.
Adam and wife Jackie Sandler's daughters — Sunny , 14, and Sadie , 17 — play the roles of two teens as the film "chronicles the high comedy and modern teen angst that comes with family, friendship, and first crushes," per a synopsis .
"What’s really funny is right before we started prepping for the film, Sunny had her actual bat mitzvah," director Sammi Cohen told PEOPLE in August of the film. "So I went to that service, and we got to do the real-life bat mitzvah and then left to make the movie. It was a really fun life movie moment."
"It was really, really fun. And it was, again, it was just such a perfect moment of life meets movie. It was just magical."

In March, Sandler was awarded the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. The honor came as Jennifer Aniston , Chris Rock , Pete Davidson , and more toasted the Saturday Night Live alum for his decades in show business.
Rob Schneider also shared a few kind words with his friend at the event, while performing a rendition of Sandler's "Grow Old With You" from The Wedding Singer soundtrack.
"Nobody gave Adam Sandler his success. Adam earned this through his hard work in a really tough business, show business," Schneider said. "People ask me: why does Adam put me in so many movies? And it's because he wants to laugh and share his tremendous success with his friends, plus I will do really humiliating s--- that he won't do."
"Adam is a very generous guy," David Spade also shared. "He has hired his whole family tree to work for him. The call sheet looks like Ancestry.com."
Sandler thanked his friends and family when collecting his award after several hilarious speeches, noting that "everybody was great."
"I feel like everyone who came and spoke up there, I think we all truly love each other," he said. "We have each other's backs for life. People always would ask me those bad reviews you get, how does that make you feel, like s---? It really doesn't. I think the reason I get to say it didn't hurt me is because so many of you guys in this room made me feel great about what we've done together."

The actor has taken on more dramatic fare over the last decade, starring in “The Meyerowitz Stories,” “Uncut Gems” — for which he earned a Screen Actors Guild nomination — and “Hustle.”
Sandler toured earlier this year under the Adam Sandler Live! marquee and extended that tour with seven shows in April . Before that, the comedian hit the road for his 100% Fresher tour in 2019. That live show, which streamed on Netflix, earned him a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for writing for a variety special.

Adam Sandler’s most bizarre London sightings from Clapham to Mayfair pavement dwelling

Adam Sandler had been spotted exploring London over the last few weeks in a number of unlikely scenes.
The Happy Gilmore actor, 57, enjoyed a spot of basketball at Kensington Leisure Centre last month, and he’s now been filmed playing the game – which he’s been known to be partial to – in Clapham, too.
He was also filmed rocking out to a Madison Beer concert at the Eventim Apollo.
Perhaps the most bizarre picture Londoners have grabbed of the star in recent weeks came today when one megafan spotted him chilling on the pavement outside of Claridges, flanked by two bodyguards. As you do.
He was pictured slumped on the pavement outside the Mayfair hotel wearing a North Face jacket by fan Corin Richards, 26, who works nearby.
Corin was ‘excited’ to see Adam as he’s a big fan – particularly of Happy Gilmore and Grown Ups.

Fans took to social media confused by the Hollywood A-lister and comedy legend’s mysteriously normal appearances around the capital, as @DnellyBPD wrote: ‘I keep seeing these why is he here? LOL can someone explain this is like this is the third or fourth video I’ve seen of Adam Sandler in a different area of London.’
Meanwhile, @StephanieYeboah said: ‘Adam Sandler currently completing random side quests on the London expansion pack. How random.’
Just walked past Adam Sandler playing basketball in Clapham pic.twitter.com/98YCxaFqEV — Girlboss (@CakePint) April 1, 2024
Sharing a video of Adam playing basketball in Clapham on April 1 – which makes us think this whole thing is some sort of twisted, extended April Fool’s joke – X user @CakePint said: ‘Just walked past Adam Sandler playing basketball in Clapham.’
In the video, the Hollywood star can be seen walking around and defending the hoop with three other men. He was dressed in a baby blue hoodie and red tracksuit, sporting his usual casual attire.
One fellow Madison Beer fan captured the star clapping along to The Spinnin Tour concert wearing a purple hoodie and (a very similar but different) North Face jacket, and wrote: ‘Adam sandler attending the spinnin’ tour closing night in london wasn’t part of my bingo card 😭.’
A fellow concert-goer shared pictures and asked what the whole of London is thinking right now: ‘ADAM SANDLER WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?’
ADAM SANDLER WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? pic.twitter.com/jRODIVlnVd — brooke (@barbiebruises) April 3, 2024
Indeed, what on earth is he doing here?
We’re heard a few murmurs from Sandler of late, as it’s rumoured Happy Gilmore 2 is ‘in the works,’ and the actor has even written the first draft, according to Shooter McGavin actor Christopher McDonald.
Last month, McDonald said during a radio interview on Audacy’s 92.3: ‘I saw Adam [Sandler] about two weeks ago, and he says to me, “McDonald, you’re gonna love this.”
‘I said, “What?” He says, “How about that,” and he shows me the first draft of Happy Gilmore 2.
‘Maybe you should cut that out [of this audio] because I don’t wanna be a liar, but he did show me that, and I thought, “Well, that would be awesome.” So, it’s in the works. Fans demand it, dammit!’
While it doesn’t seem like Adam is filming his most beloved comedy Happy Gilmore in London any time soon, maybe he’s sending us signs via his basketball and concert antics.
His 1995 film Billy Madison – in which Adam plays a rich adult slacker who goes back to school – has somewhat tenuous links to his recent appearances.
In it, there’s an iconic scene where the titular character plays basketball with other kids, and singer Madison Beer’s name does echo the film’s. Perhaps he’s trying to tell us – very cryptically – about a sequel…
Adam’s most recent films include Netflix’s Spaceman, in which he plays Jakub Prochazka, and 2023’s animation Leo where he voices the titular character.
Whatever Adam has in store, we’re enjoying spotting him around London.

Adam Sandler, Martin Short, More Mourn Joe Flaherty: The ‘Funniest Man’
- By Tomás Mier
Some of the biggest names in comedy are mourning Joe Flaherty .
After news broke that Flaherty, best known for his work on the sketch show SCTV and Freaks and Geeks died at age 82 , comedians, including Adam Sandler and Martin Short , shared their condolences and favorite memories of Flaherty in their lives and careers.
Flaherty’s daughter, Gudrun, confirmed his death in a statement with the New York Times , sharing he died after “a brief illness” on Monday. “Since then, I’ve been struggling to come to terms with this immense loss,” she told the outlet. “Dad was an extraordinary man, known for his boundless heart and an unwavering passion for movies from the ’40s and ’50s.”
“In these last few months, as he faced his health challenges, we had the precious opportunity to watch many of those classic movies together — moments I will forever hold dear,” Gudrun added.
Here’s what several of Flaherty’s friends and fellow comics said following the news of his death:
Adam Sandler
Adam Sandler shared his sadness following the news of Flaherty’s death, sharing a carousel of photos of the late comic.
“Oh man. Worshipped Joe growing up,” Sandler wrote. “Always had me and my brother laughing. Count Floyd, Guy Caballero. Any move he made. He crushed as border guard in Stripes . Couldn’t be more fun to have him heckle me on the golf course.”
“The nicest guy you could know. Genius of a comedian,” he continued. “And a true sweetheart. Perfect combo. Much love to his kids and thanks to Joe for all the greatness he gave us all.”

“In over 50 years of our friendship, there were very few people as wise or hilarious when it came to comedy, teaching improvisation and the art of character work as Joe,” Short said. “In SCTV we called him the anchor. In life, he was simply the funniest man in the room. I just adored him.”
Martin Scorsese
Another iconic Martin shared his condolences for Flaherty: Scorsese said that he “had the chance to meet” Flaherty several times, and also praised his discipline, calling him a “true master of his art.”
“I hope that I was able to express my admiration and my love for his work on SCTV and beyond,” he wrote in a statement to Rolling Stone . “I’ve always been drawn to comedians and comic actors — they have to be disciplined, observant, practiced.”
“It’s no exaggeration to say that they pretty much have to be great. And Joe was great, a true master of his art,” he added.

In a tribute to Flaherty, Samm Levine, who played Neal Schweiber on Freaks and Geeks , remembered his co-star, calling him a “comedic legend.”
“Most actors aren’t very interested in rehashing their previous roles. Especially not with their current co-stars. But that wasn’t Joe,” Levine wrote in an Instagram post. “He was ALWAYS happy to talk about old SCTV sketches, Stripes, and his million other credits. Even more, if you asked about something he remembered well, he’d jump right back into character and do the lines with you. A genuine rarity, and absolute heaven for this comedy nerd. 2024 NFL Draft: Caleb Williams earned the nickname of an Adam Sandler character during his youth football days
"now that's what i call high-quality h2o".
Former USC quarterback Caleb Williams is expected to be selected No. 1 overall by the Chicago Bears later this month, as he is viewed as the No. 1 quarterback available. The Washington D.C. kid was the No. 2 quarterback in his recruiting class, per 247Sports, and the No. 1 overall transfer prospect when he decided to leave Oklahoma in 2022.
In Dane Brugler's "The Beast" draft guide , The Athletic reporter gave us some more insight into who Williams was as an athlete before he became a household name. Williams apparently played running back and linebacker at the Pop Warner level before his quarterbacking days, and even played up several levels because of his talent. He was such a physical player that he earned the nickname "Bobby Boucher" after the Adam Sandler character in "The Waterboy."
Boucher is a fictional character who went from lowly water boy to arguably the most-feared outside linebacker of all-time. His motivation stemmed from the bullying he endured, as well as the controversial opinion that Gatorade offers superior hydration compared to water. Once he was able to channel his rage, Boucher's Mud Dogs shook off a lengthy losing streak and earned a Bourbon Bowl berth. Boucher was named MVP after showing up at halftime and helping the Mud Dogs erase a 27-point deficit to win by three.
Boucher was a generational athlete, and the Bears hope Williams will be as well. It's up to Matt Eberflus and new offensive coordinator Shane Waldron to find Williams' "Gatorade," or motivating factor that is so powerful it can keep the team in the win column.
