One of the most successful rock acts in modern music, Five Finger Death Punch have been hard at work in the studio over the past year writing and recording the follow-up to their 2020 album F8 . The album, produced by Kevin Churko, debuted at #1 on Rock charts around the world with top 10 mainstream chart debuts in the USA, Austria, Australia, Canada, Finland, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK and more. It produced four #1 hit singles with “I nside Out,” “A Little Bit Off,” “Living The Dream,” and “Darkness Settles In,” the latter of which saw the band tie the record for most consecutive #1’s on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay Chart with seven chart-toppers in-a-row with Disturbed. The band has amassed over 8 billion streams and 3 billion video views to date and have sold over one million tickets between 2018 and 2020 alone.

5FDP is also venturing into the film space, with their appearance in the upcoming horror-thriller film THE RETALIATORS , a Better Noise Films production, which is set for a fall 2022 theatrical and streaming release. The band appears both onscreen and on the film’s original soundtrack, alongside some of the biggest names in rock: Mötley Crüe’s Tommy Lee, Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach, Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills, From Ashes to New, The HU, All Good Things, and more. This past August, the movie had its WORLD PREMIERE at Arrow Video FrightFest in London . Its North American premiere took place at the iconic TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles as the OPENING NIGHT film for ScreamFest , where the production took home an award for Best Make-Up and earned itself rave reviews, with a rare rating of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, which it still maintains today.

ABOUT MEGADETH

MEGADETH have taken their place as one of metal’s most influential and respected acts, and that vitality and excitement has only grown in recent years.  Having sold over 38 million albums worldwide, the band’s most recent album, 2016’s Dystopia, earned MEGADETH their first GRAMMY® Award (for “Best Metal Performance” for the title track “Dystopia), and charted #1 on Billboard’s Top Rock and #3 on the Top 200 (beating or matching the highest chart numbers of the band’s career), while landing on Top Ten Metal Albums of the Year on Rolling Stone, Revolver and many others. MEGADETH are slated to release their 16th studio album, “ The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead ” this year.

Having recently toured North America as co-headliners of Metal Tour of the Year, and joined Five Finger Death Punch in a full European tour in 2020, MEGADETH are primed and ready to crush North America alongside Five Finger Death Punch again this fall.

ABOUT THE HU

In 2019, an NPR story put a spotlight on “a band from Mongolia that blends the screaming guitars of heavy metal and traditional Mongolian guttural singing,” accurately highlighting the cultural importance and unique musical identity of The HU. Founded in 2016 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, The HU, comprised of producer Dashka along with members Gala, Jaya, Temka, and Enkush, are a modern rock group rooted in the tradition of their homeland. The band’s name translates to the Mongolian root word for human being, and their unique approach blends instruments like the Morin Khuur (horsehead fiddle), Tovshuur (Mongolian guitar), Tumur Khuur (jaw harp) and throat singing with contemporary sounds, creating a unique sonic profile that they call “Hunnu Rock.”

Their debut album, 2019 ‘s The Gereg, debuted at #1 on the World Album and Top New Artist Charts. With it, the band have accumulated over 250 million combined streams and video views to date and have received critical acclaim from the likes of Billboard, NPR, GQ, The Guardian, The Independent, Revolver, and even Sir Elton John himself.

Proving their global appeal, The HU have sold out venues across the world in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia, with scheduled festival appearances at Coachella, Lollapalooza, Download Festival, and more, creating a community of fans from all walks of life. They quickly grabbed the attention of the industry, leading to collaborations with Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach and Lzzy Hale of Halestorm. And most recently, the band received praise from fans and critics for their Mongolian rendition of Metallica’s “Sad But True,” which Metallica themselves acknowledged on their social media accounts, seemingly giving the band their official seal of approval. The band has also explored eclectic ways to reach audiences with their sound, most notably writing and recording music for EA Games’ Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

Readying their next chapter as a global force, The HU are putting the finishing touches on their highly anticipated sophomore album, which is due for a global release later this year from Better Noise Music. The project will include a selection of tracks that were premiered live on the band’s critically acclaimed North American tour at the end of 2021, coinciding with their appearance on Metallica’s 2021 retrospective covers album The Metallica Blacklist, alongside other high-profile guest artists like Miley Cyrus, Chris Stapleton, Phoebe Bridgers, J Balvin, St. Vincent, and so many more. The HU’s forthcoming 2022 headlining tour will kick off with a special set at Coachella this April.

ABOUT FIRE FROM THE GODS

For some artists making music isn’t a choice, it’s fueled by something larger than themselves. This is undoubtedly true of Fire From The Gods whose second full-length American Sun sees them adopting the tagline “In Us We Trust” meaning “we the people” are responsible for change; a unifying statement in order to try to prevent society from succumbing to the growing malaise brought on by soul-sucking technology, divisive politics and environmental destruction. “With this record what we’re trying to drive home is that our differences and where we are from doesn’t need to define who we are moving forward,” frontman AJ Channer explains. “Like [2016’s] Narrative I’m telling the story from my perspective, but it’s a story that people from all walks of life can relate to in the sense that we all face the same challenges… and the only way to conquer them is if we face them together.”

Fire From The Gods have experienced their share of ups and downs since the Austin, Texas-based act released their David Bendeth-produced (Breaking Benjamin, Paramore) debut three years ago. Since then, the band—which also features drummer Richard Wicander, guitarists Drew Walker and J ameson Teat and bassist Bonner Baker —have toured incessantly with acts like Sevendust and Of Mice & Men, played festivals ranging from the Vans Warped Tour to the country’s largest Rock festival, Rock On The Range, re-released their debut as The Narrative Untold featuring new songs produced by Jonathan Davis of Korn and spread their message to fans all over the world. However instead of resting on their laurels, the act doubled down on their message with American Sun, their first album after signing with juggernauts Better Noise (fka Eleven Seven Music Group). “I think this record is a lot more personal because I’ve become a lot more open about who I am and what I’ve had to deal with,” Channer explains. Channer spent his childhood shuffling between London, New York, Los Angeles, Norfolk and Ghana, giving him a unique perspective on the world, however the issues that he’s dealt with such as anxiety, depression, anger, rejection and loss are universal.

Five Finger Death Punch End Your Wait With ‘Afterlife,’ Announce 2022 Tour Dates

If you, like Five Finger Death Punch 's Ivan Moody , "don't wanna wait," well you don't have to any longer. "Afterlife" from the album of the same name is now upon us and you can hear the new single in the player provided below.

It's the hard-hitting rock radio gem you'd hope for from FFDP, starting with a solitary atmospheric guitar lick, giving way to bullet-like drums and a fleshed out full band assault brimming with energy and a pulsing low end. Within the track, fans will also get a wide range of Ivan Moody vocals, from clean melodic aggression to occasional screaming and some deep baritone spoken vocals.

Five Finger Death Punch have been working with longtime producer Kevin Churko on their follow-up to F8 , now confirming that the forthcoming album will carry the title Afterlife . An official release date for the album has not been announced as of yet, but this is the first of two major announcements today leading into the promotion of their forthcoming set.

The other big announcement is that Five Finger Death Punch have lined up a late summer / early fall headline tour with Megadeth , The Hu and Fire From the Gods delivering yet another stellar touring bill for the band. The tour gets underway Aug. 19 in Portland, Oregon, crossing the U.S. and circling back before an Oct. 15 finale in Salt Lake City, Utah. See all of the dates, cities and venues listed below.

Tickets for the run will go on sale this Friday (April 15) at 10AM local time via the Five Finger Death Punch website . It should also be noted that Five Finger Death Punch are also launching an official Five Finger Death Punch Fan Club, with those joining having exclusive first access to pre-sale tickets starting today (April 12) at 10AM local time. The fan club is available as a stand-alone app through the Apple, Android or Google Play stores. Premium members will also receive extra perks throughout the year.

For now, check out the lyrics and the new song "Afterlife" below and if you like what you hear, the song is available via multiple platforms here .

Five Finger Death Punch, "Afterlife" Lyrics

I’ve heard the rumors that the rumors all were true They may be looking for me but there coming for you I’ll paint a picture you can better understand They promise diamonds but they pay in sand It goes on and on and on and on and on It’s an old broken record stuck on the same It goes on and on and on and on and on You all know it’s wrong but you’re singing along I don’t want to wait for heaven to change me I don’t wanna have to wait for the fall I don’t wanna wait for heaven to change things I don’t wanna wait I don’t wanna wait I don’t wanna wait for heaven to change this I don’t wanna have to fall on the knife Forever after - this disaster Bring the AfterLife You’d cut your nose off just to spite your fuckin face That’s who you are - you know your place You let them lead you by the throat with broken hands So how’s the view beneath their shoe and what’s your plan It goes on and on and on and on and on It’s an old broken record stuck on the same It goes on and on and on and on and on We all know it’s wrong but we’re singing along I don’t want to wait for heaven to change me I don’t wanna have to wait for the fall I don’t wanna wait for heaven to change things I don’t wanna wait I don’t wanna wait I don’t wanna wait for heaven to change this I don’t wanna have to fall on the knife Forever after - this disaster Bring the AfterLife I don’t wanna wait for heaven to change me I don’t wanna wait I don’t wanna wait for heaven I don’t wanna wait I don’t wait for heaven to save us I don’t wanna wait

Five Finger Death Punch, Brantley Gilbert

Metal band Five Finger Death Punch and country rock singer Brantley Gilbert are joining forces for a 22-date tour. The unlikely pairing will also be joined by Canadian country singer Cory Marks.

Produced by Live Nation, the co-headlining arena tour will begin on Nov. 9 in Grand Rapids, Mich., and close on Dec. 17 with a performance in Las Vegas. Five Finger Death Punch will be performing their forthcoming album, “Afterlife,” which is slated for release later this week (Aug. 19). See the full lineup of dates below.

About Megadeth

Megadeth have taken their place as one of metal’s most influential and respected acts, and that vitality and excitement has only grown in recent years.  Having sold over 38 million albums worldwide, the band’s most recent album, 2016’sDystopia, earned Megadeth their first Grammy® Award (for “Best Metal Performance” for the title track “Dystopia), and charted #1 on Billboard’s Top Rock and #3 on the Top 200 (beating or matching the highest chart numbers of the band’s career), while landing on Top Ten Metal Albums of the Year on Rolling Stone, Revolver and many others. Megadeth are slated to release their 16th studio album, The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead this year.

For some artists making music isn't a choice, it's fueled by something larger than themselves. “With this record what we're trying to drive home is that our differences and where we are from doesn't need to define who we are moving forward,” frontman AJ Channer explains. “Like [2016's] Narrative I'm telling the story from my perspective, but it's a story that people from all walks of life can relate to in the sense that we all face the same challenges... and the only way to conquer them is if we face them together.”

Fire From The Gods have experienced their share of ups and downs since the Austin, Texas-based act released their David Bendeth-produced (Breaking Benjamin, Paramore) debut three years ago. Since then, the band—which also features drummer Richard Wicander, guitarists Drew Walker and Jameson Teat and bassist Bonner Baker—have toured incessantly with acts like Sevendust and Of Mice & Men, played festivals ranging from the Vans Warped Tour to the country’s largest Rock festival, Rock On The Range, re-released their debut as The Narrative Untold featuring new songs produced by Jonathan Davis of Korn and spread their message to fans all over the world. However instead of resting on their laurels, the act doubled down on their message with American Sun, their first album after signing with juggernauts Better Noise (fka Eleven Seven Music Group). “I think this record is a lot more personal because I've become a lot more open about who I am and what I've had to deal with,” Channer explains. Channer spent his childhood shuffling between London, New York, Los Angeles, Norfolk and Ghana, giving him a unique perspective on the world, however the issues that he's dealt with such as anxiety, depression, anger, rejection and loss are universal.

Five Finger Death Punch remain one of heavy music's most engaging live acts, in no small part because they combine hard rock, heavy metal and straightforward rock 'n' roll in aggressive, energetic ways. Frontman Ivan Moody wears his heart on his sleeve, making him a ferocious lead singer who isn't afraid to get real with his stage banter — and connect with the audience deeply during Five Finger Death Punch's stripped-down acoustic moments. Over the years, Five Finger Death Punch have toured with rock music's major players: In 2012, they headlined Metal Hammer's Trespass America Festival with opening acts such as Emmure, Pop Evil, Trivium and Killswitch Engage. 2015 found the band embarking on a co-headlining tour with Papa Roach. And 2018 brought a tour with Breaking Benjamin. The band has also appeared at the world's biggest and most respected rock festivals, including Rock am Ring and Rock im Park, Download Festival, Carolina Rebellion and Welcome to Rockville.

Combining the outlaw country of Eric Church with the blue-collar rock of Bruce Springsteen, Brantley Gilber t is one of the harder-edged names to emerge from the contemporary Nashville scene. The self-proclaimed small-town guy has also barely left the road since emerging in the late '00s, supporting the likes of Willie Nelson, Toby Keith and Tim McGraw, as well as headlining his own tours: 2012's Hell on Wheels, 2016's Take It Outside and 2018's The Ones That Like Me. As you'd expect, the Brantley Gilbert live experience is a loud and proud one, with his array of fist-pumping, foot-stomping anthems often accompanied by dazzling pyrotechnics, swirling lasers and LCD visuals.

GWAR Announces 'Age Of Entitlement' 2024 U.S. Tour

Shock-rock gods GWAR will embark on the "Age Of Entitlement" tour for two more legs of 2024 headline dates in support of their most recent album "New Dark Ages" .

This summer, the band has enlisted drug metal addicts WEEDEATER along with the habitually offensive cop rock of X-COPS as support. The savage hardcore weirdness of openers SQUID PISSER will alienate what is left of the audience. The summer leg of the "Age Of Entitlement" kicks off on June 7 in Hartford, Connecticut, and wraps on June 17 in Tampa, Florida.

In September, GWAR will go out again to kick more human ass, this time with absolutely brutal Latin American death grinders BRUJERIA , NOLA grindcore face-melters BRAT , and the reptilian Christianity of hardcore punk/metal evangelists CANCER CHRIST . That leg gets going on September 12 in Buffalo, New York and will, mercifully, come to a close on September 20 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

GWAR vocalist Blöthar The Berserker commented: "This is an incredible time in the history of the world, so much death and destruction in the face of so much senseless entitlement and arrogant darkness. We cannot wait to shock some sense into humanity with the most outrageous performance of heavy metal theater ever to descend from the gods."

Tickets go on sale this Friday, April 19 at 10:00 a.m. local time. Pre-sale tickets are available now through Thursday at 10:00 p.m. local time.

GWAR "Age Of Entitlement" tour with WEEDEATER , X-COPS , SQUID PISSER :

Jun. 07 - Hartford, CT @ Webster Theater Jun. 08 - Reading, PA @ Reverb Jun. 09 - Washington DC @ 9:30 Club Jun. 11 - Columbia, SC @ The Senate Jun. 12 - Lexington, KY @ Manchester Music Hall Jun. 13 - Manchester, TN @ Bonnaroo* Jun. 14 - Birmingham, AL @ Iron City Music Hall Jun. 15 - Memphis, TN @ Minglewood Hall Jun. 16 - Destin, FL @ Club LA Jun. 17 - Tampa, FL @ The Ritz Ybor

With BRUJERIA , BRAT , CANCER CHRIST :

Sep. 12 - Buffalo, NY @ Town Ballroom Sep. 13 - Cincinnati, OH @ Bogarts Sep. 14 - Indianapolis, IN @ The Vogue Sep. 16 - Pittsburgh, PA @ Mr. Smalls Sep. 17 - St. Louis, MO @ The Pageant Sep. 18 - Little Rock, AR @ The Hall Sep. 20 - Fayetteville, AR @ JJ’s Live

GWAR released a tenth-anniversary edition of its "Battle Maximus" album last September via Pit Records . This new version is completely remixed and remastered, and features the final recorded vocal performance of Oderus Urungus on the previously unreleased and never-before-heard song "Tammy, Queen Of Dirt" .

GWAR 's latest album, "The New Dark Ages" , was released in June 2022 on CD/digital and was made available on vinyl and cassette in September 2022 via GWAR 's own Pit Records .

"The New Dark Ages" chronicles GWAR 's adventures in the Duoverse, where the band rediscovers old powers such as Blöthar 's terrifying Berserker Mode, and encounter new allies, such as the murderous maven known as The Cutter. Along the way, they battle the living monuments of a lost cause and armies of undead soldiers who rise again to fight a new civil war.

The album concept is tied to a companion graphic novel "GWAR In The Duoverse Of Absurdity" , which was also released in June 2022 by Z2 Comics . In the graphic novel, the bandmembers are sucked off into an alternate universe to do battle with their evil twins and the specter of rogue technology.

"GWAR In The Duoverse Of Absurdity" chronicles the epic battle between GWAR and their doppelgangers from an alternate universe the band discovers behind their treasured Magic Mirror. The book uses an innovative storytelling technique that combines words and pictures printed on paper (made from real trees!) in a seamless format we are calling a "graphic novel." The tale is illustrated by the masterful talents of Andy MacDonald ("Wolverine", "Dr Strange", "Wonder Woman"), Shane White ("Things Undone", "Braun", "Endless Summer"), Matt Maguire (GWAR) and Bob Gorman (GWAR).

Dave Brockie , who fronted GWAR under the name Oderus Urungus , was found dead in his home in Richmond, Virginia in March 2014. According to Virginia's State Medical Examiner's Office, he died from acute heroin toxicity by accidental means.

Brockie was last remaining original member of GWAR , which was founded 40 years ago. He was 50 years old.

The satirical metal band earned a following for its macabre, over-the-top costumes, offensive lyrics and graphic, gore-soaked shows, in which the bandmembers performed as the descendants of alien warriors who arrived on Earth to enslave and slaughter the human race.
