Melissa Etheridge, Jewel to Co-Headline Cruise in November 2021

Melissa Etheridge has announced that she will be joined by Jewel on the upcoming voyage of the Melissa Etheridge Cruise IV, setting sail fall 2021.

Aboard the  Norwegian Pearl cruise ship, the duo and their guests will hit the high seas from November 12th through 18th, 2021, sailing from Miami to Great Stirrup Cay, Ocho Rios, and Nassau. Guests will be able to partake in various activities, including two exclusive performances by Etheridge, a photo op with Etheridge, collaborative sets from Etheridge and Jewel , a variety of shows from supporting acts and more. Other artists that will appear on the cruise include Shawn Colvin, Dorothy, Lucy Spraggan, Cathy Richardson, Sonia Leigh, Melissa Crispo, Antigone Rising, Wendy Moten, The Surfragettes, The Triplets and Angie K.

“I can’t believe we’ve been cruising for four years now,” Etheridge said in a statement. “Every year it gets better and better….the music, the roundtables, the food, the excursions, and especially the fans! I’m so excited about the incredible line up of musicians we have this year. I can’t wait to set sail!”

Etheridge last led a cruise in 2019, sailing from Tampa to Harvest Caye, Costa Maya and Grand Cayman, and holding a celebration for her latest album,  The Medicine Show , at an onboard release party.

Fans who reserve a room early will receive an Early Bird Discount, available for a limited time, that ranges from $150 to $250 off the stateroom. Melissa Etheridge and Jewel to Coheadline 2021 Cruise

The lesbian rockstar promises duets and a female-empowered lineup, and tells Out Traveler  why Jewel is the perfect cohost.

Initially, Melissa Etheridge admits she wa s lukewarm to the idea of hosting a cruise. “I said no for years to a cruise,” she recalls. “In the late ’90s management and folks started talking to me about cruises. And I said 'No, no, no way! Trapped on a boat with my fans?'”

Etheridge had cause to be nervous. In the 1990s, the lesbian singer-songwriter was topping charts and racking up awards. Her first Grammy came in 1992. The following year, her fourth album, Yes I Am featured the megahits “I'm the Only One” and “Come to My Window” (which brought Etheridge her second Grammy Award for Best Female Rock Performance). In 1995, Etheridge issued her highest charting album, Your Little Secre t, featuring the hit single, “I Want to Come Over,” which earned her a Songwriter of the Year honor at the ASCAP Pop Awards in 1996. In those days, the fans were fervent.

I recall a friend having women's panties delivered to venues where Etheridge performing .

“Yes, they were definitely like that back in the ’80s and ’90s!” Ethridge laughs. “Nowadays we’ve all slowed down a little bit. They don’t throw the panties much anymore – the bras, I get one once, twice a year maybe. It’s rock and roll and it’s all in good fun. I don’t think anyone would ever want to hurt me.”

And, as time passed, Etheridge started to warm to the idea of hosting a cruise for her fans. So, in 2016 she took the plunge. And the singer was surprised by what she got out of  it. “It was actually more of an experience for me — I think my fans had a great time  —  but just being there, realizing that there’s actually 3,500 people that really want to spend a week with you on a boat. And how freeing it was just to do all the songs I wanted. I could just do anything I wanted.” That gave Etheridge an opportunity to have unique interactions with her fans that she wouldn’t have when performing predetermined sets at a stadium concert. And it’s what’s brought her back for what will be her 4 th cruise.

"I can’t believe we've been cruising for four years now” Etheridge shared in a statement to the press earlier this week. “Every year it gets better and better....the music, the roundtables, the food, the excursions, and especially the fans! I'm so excited about the incredible line up of musicians and speakers we have this year. I can't wait to set sail!

“The thing that really flows through everyone is this sense of kindness, love of music, these great artists,” Etheridge muses. “Knowing that they’re expecting kindness, so knowing that that’s the expectation that this is a kind, joyful boat.”

Ethridge says one aspect of that is the cruise’s inclusivity. Although she acknowledges, “Yes the majority is lesbians and they are the majority of the women,” Etheridge makes it clear, “There are men on the boat — not a whole lot of them — but there are husbands, there are boyfriends and brothers…and kids. There are some [trans] men and some gay men. It’s beautiful!”

Etheridge tells  Out Traveler , “My favorite thing is that I get to go on a boat and know that every show I do I can do completely different because these fans know so much of my catalog. They’re there to hear the music. And I really love connecting with the fans so much. Probably my favorite thing is connecting with the other artists. When the day is done and we’re all hanging out, that might be my favorite, just really getting to know these great artists.”

It’s the music that draws and connects those who sign up for the Etheridge cruise, which is produced by Sixthman and this time sails aboard the Norwegian Jewel November 12-18, 2021 traveling from Miami to Great Stirrup Cay, Ocho Rios, and Nassau.

Even more special, the two megastars will perform on stage together. “Some artists don’t like to duet, I’ll sing with anybody,” says Etheridge. “I’ve sung with her before so I know she’ll duet with me. If nothing else, we’ll recreate the VH1 Duets of ’95 where we sang ‘You Can Sleep While I Drive.’ Jewel is just perfect. We’re both from that’90s era. We both rode that wave of female singer-songwriters in the ’90s. She’s down to earth, knows how to play, so she’s perfect. And my fans love her music.”

Etheridge remains bullish on cruises, and she has reason to be optimistic. In the past month alone, she says, “we’ve sold 90 cabins so this cruise has such an impact on people that they will buy tickets even in a pandemic. They know we’re going to be beyond careful and safe. And Norwegian cruise line is keeping us updated every month.”

“I don’t think it will be the death of cruising because people like it,” Etheridge adds, thinking about the industry at large after the crushing impact this year has had. “It’s a beautiful way to get around and travel and not have to worry about so many things  —  flying or driving and stuff like that. I think it’s fabulous.”

Looking to the future, she reveals, “We will be getting involved in more destination vacations too not just cruising. We really want to spread out. For those that cruising is not there thing after this cruise we’re going to look into land choices.”

No, airfare is not included in the festival package. Read up on what's included and what's not included. Sixthman will do everything to ensure your experience can't be beat from the moment you step off the plane at Cancun International Airport until Etheridge Island comes to an end.

Can I extend my stay before or after the festival?

The last day to add or modify extra nights was July 25 and has passed. If you still wish to add extra nights you may do so directly through the resort with  this link .

Are there extra perks for being a member of Etheridge Nation?

Yes! As a thank you for being a member of Etheridge Nation, you'll get access to a couple of exclusive activities during Etheridge Island including Family Feud with Melissa and a beachside Happy Hour. When can I book, and how is the booking order determined during the pre-sale?

What's an Earliest Booking Time?

It’s just our more fun way of saying “Tuesday at 2:45pm” or “Wednesday at 11:00am.” But really, it’s just what it sounds like! Your Earliest Booking Time (or EBT, since we’re all old friends now) is your first chance to book your room. We spread them out over several days to provide you the best possible guest service experience during the booking process.  

Etheridge Nation fan club members will be given the first chance to book!

EN members who join the pre-sale by 11:59pm ET on Sunday, October 31 will receive their EBT by email by end of day, Monday, November 1 and be able to book as early as Tuesday, November 2.  

The Melissa Etheridge Cruise 2021 alumni will be next to book after Etheridge Nation members.

Those who sailed on ME Cruise 2021 will need to join the pre-sale by 11:59pm ET on Sunday, October 31 and will receive their EBT by end of day, Monday, November 1 . This group will be able to book as early as Wednesday, November 3.

I've sailed on past Melissa Etheridge Cruises, but missed out on 2021...

Alumni who did not sail and those who had to cancel their reservation on The Melissa Etheridge Cruise 2021 or 2020 are our third group to book Etheridge Island! 

If you join the pre-sale by 11:59pm ET on October 31, you will receive your EBT via email by end of day, Monday, November 1 and will be able to book as early as Friday, November 5. M.E. Cruise alumni who join the pre-sale after October 31 can expect an email containing your EBT by end of day , Friday, November 5. You'll be able to book as early as Monday, November 8 .  

I've never sailed on The Melissa Etheridge Cruise and I'm not a member of Etheridge Nation...

New guests have until Monday, November 8 to join the pre-sale . This group will be emailed an EBT by end of day, Tuesday, November 9. You can expect to book by mid-day Wednesday, November 10 .

Once the Etheridge Island pre-sale ends, the general public will be able to book starting at 4:00pm ET on Wednesday, November 10 .

What information will I need to book my room?

Room selection.

During booking you will select your desired room category and occupancy. Your room assignment will be appointed upon check-in at the hotel.

Sixthman Profiles

You'll need to sign in with (or create) a Sixthman profile to book. If you've traveled with Sixthman previously or signed up for the Etheridge Island Pre-Sale you have a username. Recover forgotten login credentials here , or contact us or try our live chat for immediate assistance. If you or your traveling companion needs a Sixthman username you can also create one while booking.

Guest Permissions

If you were a Lead Guest on a prior event and are sailing with the same traveling companions, they'll be in a dropdown list for you to add to your room.

If you're traveling with someone who has a Sixthman username but has NOT vacationed with you previously, have them  sign in to their Sixthman profile and add your username to their Approved Lead Guests list here . They'll then be on the dropdown list for you while booking.

Naming Guests

You can add your traveling companions later but fees may apply. See more details here . You are obligated for the full room fare of the occupancy level you select during the reservation process even if you do not add guests to fill your entire room. If you wish to add guests beyond the capacity of the occupancy level you select during the reservation process you may do so based on availability and for the additional room fare associated with the transaction.

Credit Card Payments

Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express are all accepted. If you are paying with multiple credit cards, you will need all of the credit card numbers (with expiration date and card verification number) as well as the name and billing address for each card.

PLEASE NOTE! Lead Guest, if you or your guest(s) needs a Sixthman Username you can create one while booking. If you and your guest have Sixthman Usernames, have your guest add you as an Approved Lead Guest in their account . You'll then see your guest in Your Authorized Guests list and you'll be able to add them as a guest in your room while booking!

Anyone who has traveled with Sixthman previously has a username and will not need to create one. If you don't know your login credentials, you can recover them here .

How do I let someone add me to their room?

To let someone add you to their reservation, you'll need to have a Sixthman profile and add your lead traveling companion to your  Approved Lead Guests list. 

Create a Sixthman profile  here , or sign in to your existing profile. 

Then, in the Guest Permissions section here , click the Approve A New Lead Guest button and enter your lead traveling companion's username.

You're all set, the lead guest can now add you as a guest in their room. Hooray!

How does travel protection work?

What is the official cancellation policy?

What are the health and safety protocols for the event?

At the time of booking, Guest understands and acknowledges that by making a reservation for Etheridge Island, you are agreeing to follow health and safety protocol that may be in place at the time of the Event and that individuals who do not comply will be asked to leave and will not be eligible for a refund.

Guest acknowledges that such health and safety protocols could include vaccines, masks, testing or other COVID-19 health and safety protocol which may be in place at the Event as required by the venue, host, or local government.

What is the guest conduct policy on site?

SAFETY AND SECURITY

Safety and security are everyone’s responsibility. Should anyone become aware of unsafe or possibly illegal behavior during the festival, they should immediately report this to the onsite Security staff or any Sixthman or AMResorts staff member.

GUEST CONDUCT

INAPPROPRIATE OR ABUSIVE BEHAVIOR AND LANGUAGE Verbally abusive or offensive language directed toward anyone, to include guests, staff members, governmental officials, or others is not permitted. Inappropriate or abusive behavior including uninvited physical contact, solicitation, harassment, vandalism, theft, violence, use of fake/false identification, underage drinking (see alcohol section below), providing alcohol to those under the allowed age (see alcohol section below), possession of illegal substances/items or any other illegal or offensive conduct is not permitted.

DISCOURTEOUS OR DISRUPTIVE BEHAVIOR Venue and pool chairs may not be reserved. Topless sunbathing is not permitted. Boom boxes or loud radios are not permitted. Roller blades, roller skates, skateboards, hoverboards, scooters, surfboards, bicycles, and similar items may not be utilized on-site; except for mobility aids related to special needs.

SMOKING As the health and well-being of our guests and staff is of the utmost importance, venues, surrounding venue areas, and dining areas are smoke-free. If you smoke regular or electronic cigarettes or cigars, you can do so in designated areas only.

ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES Guests will be solely responsible for the excess of alcohol consumption within the hotel facilities, as well as any effect or consequence when mixing with medication, energizing drinks or other substances. The consumption of alcoholic beverages by minors (under 18 years) is prohibited by law. Hotel personnel may request verification of a guest’s age to verify they are of age to consume alcohol pursuant to this policy. Any guest that violates this alcohol policy, will be considered for disciplinary action.

DRONES (Game Flying Device) Guests are not permitted to use drones on site for safety or disturbance of other guests.

DRUGS OR OTHER ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES The use of illegal drugs and substances is forbidden. Illegal drugs or substances will be confiscated and appropriate action taken as according to the law in Dominican Republic.

WEAPONS, EXPLOSIVES OR OTHER DANGEROUS ITEMS No weapon, explosive, or other item that presents a risk of harm to persons or property, are permitted on site.

CONSEQUENCES

FAILURE TO ACT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THIS POLICY MAY RESULT IN:

• Intervention by Security, other management personnel or law enforcement
• Removal of certain privileges, which may include being detained, quarantined or confinement
• Confiscation of illegal/contraband/prohibited items (may be turned over to law enforcement authorities) and used for prosecution
• Denial of attendance for future Sixthman events
• Reporting of incidents to government and law enforcement authorities for follow-on legal action

Will the artists be on property the for the whole event?

Our artists are excited to join you for the whole event. However, there may be some cases where they must join us during the event or depart early due to schedule or family commitments.

Are there any discounts available?

Paid in full discount.

Reservations made through December 1, 2021 that are paid in full within 72 hours of booking will receive a 5% discount off room fare. The Paid In Full Discount will only apply if the entire room is paid for and is not available on a per person basis.

Paid in Full, Healthcare & First Responders, and Military Discounts are not combinable.

Youth Discount

Children 3-12 years at time of the festival will receive a $199 youth discount. Children up to 3 years of age at the time of the festival will be free if booked as the third/fourth guest in the room. Children up to 3 years of age added as the second guest in the room will receive a $199 youth discount and will not be charged the resort fee.

Healthcare Professionals & First Responders Discount

Guests who are active, retired, or volunteer healthcare professionals or first responders (including EMS, Law Enforcement, and Fire Department) are eligible to receive a 5% discount off of room fare for the entire reservation. To receive this discount, please email one of the following items to [email protected] after your reservation has been confirmed. Please blacken out anything showing your social security number, bank account, or financial details before sending.

• Employee or volunteer badge showing your full name
• Paystub less than 60 days old
• 1099 tax form from previous year
• Signed affidavit from first responder agency

Military Discount

Guests who are active, veteran, or retired military are eligible to receive a 5% discount off room fare for the entire room. Single Occupancy Discount

Single Occupancy discount of $399.00. Guests traveling by themselves in their own room are responsible for the double-occupancy rate of the room (the double rate times two). Single occupancy rooms will be charged Taxes and Fees for only one guest, and will receive a discount of $399.00 off the second room fare.

How are currencies going to work?

Etheridge Island is sold in US Dollars and all charges incurred prior to the event will be charged as USD. Currency conversion shown on the website is for example purposes only. All pre-event payments will be processed as USD and non-USD accounts are subject to your bank’s exchange rate at the time of each transaction and are also subject to any foreign transaction fees of your bank. All resort charges will be listed and charged in US Dollars and non-USD accounts are subject to your bank’s exchange rate at the time of each transaction and are also subject to any foreign transaction fees of your bank.

Can I add additional days to my stay?

Yes, you may add up to three nights before or three nights after Etheridge Island when you create your reservation.

How it works

Enter your username.

Give the new guest your Sixthman username. While booking, your friend must enter your username in the REFERRAL field (located on the Add Guests page) to receive the $100 discount.

Send a referral

As the referrer, you can sign in to your Sixthman account , go to the Referrals section and choose the festival that you’d like to share with your friend. Don’t forget you can refer a friend to   any   eligible Sixthman festival.

Send your friend an email by entering their email address and adding a personalized message. This email will them let them know all about the discount, the festival, and how they can be a part of it!

Referral credit will be reconciled 2 weeks prior to the festival and is the deadline to make referrals. 

The Fine Print

• Rooms booked during the pre-sale period are not eligible for the referral program.
• Referral program offerings are subject to change and not retroactive, therefore any current offerings cannot be applied to a completed referral or reservation. However, all guests can continue to take advantage of this program as they refer new guests to join us.
• The referrer must either be currently booked or have sailed on a Sixthman event before. All guests in the referred room must be new to Sixthman in order to be eligible for the $100 discount. If the new room adds an alumnus to the stateroom at a later date, then the new room will not get the discount. The referred room will no longer be eligible for the discount and the referrer will no longer receive the discount.
• Referrals apply to full rooms only; they do not apply to individual guests within a room.
• Rooms booked by travel agents not eligible to participate in referral program.

How do I make a payment?

To make a payment, booked guests can sign in to their Sixthman account and click 'Make a Payment' next to their reservation. Any named guest on a reservation can submit an online payment. Payments can also be made via phone by calling Sixthman at 877-630-6155.

How do I purchase travel protection?

You may purchase travel protection while placing your reservation online or by calling Sixthman Guest Services at 1-877-630-6155 after your reservation has been placed. Travel Protection is sold per person and based of the amount you'd like covered (minimum coverage is the per person cost of the room plus all taxes and fees). You may also call Sixthman to request additional coverage for other travel, such as airfare. For a complete list of rates and coverage details please visit www.sixthman.net/protection . Please note that the CFAR benefit (CANCEL FOR ANY REASON) is in addition to the standard policy and allows a refund of up to 50% of the non-refundable Trip Cost for reservations that are canceled without a covered reason up until 48 hours prior to the event. This benefit must be purchased within 21 days of trip purchase.

Can each guest make their own payment?

The Lead Guest on the reservation is responsible for making sure minimum payments are met. However, each guest can sign in (or call in) individually to make their own payment for their share of the room with their own credit card information. When making the reservation, the Lead Guest can pay for only their portion of the minimum initial deposit, but the reservation must be brought current within 72 hours. Within this time frame, other guests can make their initial payments. The Lead Guest is responsible for making sure the reservation is current within 72 hours or will risk cancellation.

Can I make changes to my booking?

Only Lead Guests can request to change or remove existing guests, or to upgrade to a higher priced category. Downgrading your room to a room of lesser value is not allowed. The Lead Guest must request these changes by phone or email. If applicable, reservations are subject to a Lead Guest change fee of $299. No lead guest changes or transfers are permitted after June 1, 2022 OR once the event is on a waiting list, whichever comes first. ALL names must be received by June 1, 2022. Each reservation is allowed one free name change prior to June 1, 2022. Additional changes prior to that date are subject to a $50 administrative fee per change. Any changes, including adding unnamed guests made after June 1, 2022, but more than one week before the event are $75 per change. Any changes, including adding unnamed guests made within a week of the event are $100 per change. Changes or additions made within the week prior to the event must be done in person at check-in, and may incur a fee up to $299 per change.

How do I add a guest to my room?

If you are the lead guest with an existing reservation you can add a guest online. First, your guest needs a Sixthman Username, and needs to give you permission to add them to your room. Provide your guest with your Sixthman Username, and have them create a Sixthman profile here , or login to their existing profile. In the Guest Permissions section have them add you to their Approved Lead Guest list. Once they're done, you can login to your profile and they'll appear in Your Authorized Guests list. Now, go to your current reservation and add them in the Personal Information section.

What if I miss a payment?

One week after missing a scheduled payment date, a late fee of $35 is added to the reservation. Three weeks after missing a scheduled payment date, a final notice of impending cancellation is sent, and the reservation may be cancelled by Sixthman within 7 days. If you are unable to make a payment as scheduled, please contact Sixthman PRIOR to the payment due date. In extreme circumstances, alternate payment schedules may be arranged. Alternate payment schedules are solely at the discretion of Sixthman. Defaulting on alternate payment arrangements will result in immediate cancellation of your reservation.

What if I want to book a single occupancy room?

What are the age requirements?

You must be at least eighteen (18) years old to create a reservation and accept the Lead Passenger responsibilities. Guests of all ages may attend the event however any guest under 18-years-old they must be accompanied* by a guest 18 years or older. NO exceptions will be made at resort.

Do I need a passport?

At time of booking, you acknowledge that the laws that regulate the necessary travel documentation are subject to change and that it is your responsibility to be aware of what is required for travel. All guests are required to carry a valid passport, not expiring within six (6) months of the return of your trip. Please note that the name on your ticket must match the name on your passport or you will need to provide an original copy of proof of change of name (marriage license, etc).

What is the policy regarding photo and video etiquette?

Photos and short video clips are allowed. However, please respect your fellow guests and be unobtrusive when taking photos or video clips.

The following are not permitted at any performances or activities:

• Detachable lenses longer than 3”
• Filming an entire performance
• Flash photography
• GoPro or similar style action cameras
• iPad or other tablets
• Professional audio or video equipment
• Selfie sticks, monopods or tripods

Sixthman reserves the right to ask guests to stop filming or taking photos at any time to preserve the guest experience and honor the wishes of our artists.

What is the dress code?

The dress code for Etheridge Island is very relaxed. We want you to be comfortable! There is a suggested dress code of formal attire for select sit down restaurants. As we get closer to the event, we’ll announce several "theme nights" – so be prepared to get creative and join in on the fun!

Will I be subject to a VAT (value added tax) on this vacation?

Non-Mexican citizens will receive an immigration card when they fly in. This must be presented to the resort at check-in. If the guest loses the immigration card they will be responsible to pay 16% VAT direct to resort.  This is standard across all Mexico properties. 

Will I need to put a credit card down at the resort for incidentals?

Separate individual folios will be established for all guests to cover incidental charges to their rooms. Sign up on the first day of your event, by establishing your method of payment with Visa®, MasterCard®, American Express®, Discover®, travelers checks or cash. During check-out, the folio must be settled. 

IMPORTANT:   If you choose to settle your account with cash, a minimum deposit of $100.00 USD per day will be required in advance. You may also use your debit card; however, please be advised that the resort obtains pre-authorization which some banks may hold for up to 30 days.

I'm in LOOOOVE!! Is it possible to get married at the festival?

Congrats on your upcoming marriage, how exciting! To ensure every guest has an amazing time on their vacation our team’s focus is 100% on executing the festival, Sixthman is unable to assist in the organization of your vows. However, the resort is equipped to assist with your wedding! Please contact the onsite Groups Wedding Coordinator at the resort. Should you plan to tie the knot prior to the event and make the festival your honeymoon or plan to get hitched off site, please let us know! We love your love.

How often will shuttles run to and from the festival from the airport?

Shuttles will run throughout the day from the Cancun International Airport to the Resort on arrival and departure days. Sixthman will be requesting your flight details in the coming months to coordinate ground transportation and keep track of any and all flight changes or updates.

*Guests that need an accessible shuttle or cannot transfer into a general shuttle, must specifically request an accessible shuttle. Please contact guest services to make your request.

Can I attend the festival if I'm not a guest at Dreams + Secrets?

All guests attending Etheridge Island must have a reservation booked through Sixthman and must be staying at Dreams + Secrets to attend the shows. There are no day passes or off-site passes available for this festival.

What service charges and gratuities should I expect to see once at the festival?

Resort staff and drink gratuities are already included in the price of your vacation package. While you are welcome to extend additional gratuities at your discretion, these minimum service gratuities are agreed to be paid by you upon booking your room.

What is the smoking policy at Dreams + Secrets?

Smoking is prohibited indoors, in the pools, directly in front of the main stage as well as outdoor dining areas. This includes regular cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, cigars or pipes. Guests are permitted to smoke on their balconies. Smoking inside your room or on your balcony may result in a cleaning charge added to your resort account. If cigarette burns on furniture, linens, towels or carpeting are detected; guests will be advised and charged for the damages. Electronic cigarettes cannot be used in public areas where there is a No Smoking policy in force.

What time does the vacation end and I have to go back to real life?

Check-out is at noon, but enjoy the resort's amenities until your scheduled shuttle arrives! 

Can we check in early to the resort? Can I leave my bags until my room is ready?

Resort check-in begins around 3: 00pm  and is available throughout the day. If you arrive early, the front desk will safeguard your luggage until you're ready to retrieve and carry it to your room. The staff will notify you when your room is ready. Go enjoy the amenities baggage & hands-free! 

Are wheelchairs, beach wheelchairs, scooters, or mobility assistive devices available at the resort?

If you require the use of a mobility assistive device throughout your vacation, we ask that you travel with your own, or rent one from the third-party company that works with Dreams + Secrets Resorts.   Equipment must be reserved in advance of your stay.   You may rent equipment by emailing  [email protected] .

Where can I find out more about accommodations for guests with Special Needs?

At Dreams, Accessible Junior Suites; Garden View & Partial Ocean View (King Bed Only) are available and include wider clearance through doorways, bathroom rails, shower benches and a roll-in shower. The rooms do not have a tub. The resort is equipped with ramps throughout the hotel; including reception, pool and beach areas. There are elevators located in all buildings and lobbies. 

What accommodations are available for guests with medical food allergies and diabetes?

At time of booking, please discuss your needs with the Sixthman Guest Services team by contacting us . We will notify the resort for guests with specific medical dietary restrictions upon request. Refrigerators are available in all rooms for storing insulin.

Can special dietary needs be accommodated?

If you have any food allergy or a dietary requirement that requires Kosher meals or gluten free food products, please advise Sixthman at the time of booking. Obtaining the product for many of these requests requires 45-days notice prior to sailing, and we want to ensure that the resort is able to fulfill your request. We cannot guarantee Kosher meal or gluten free food product requests made within 45 days of fesival date.

What if I encounter the need for medical attention during my trip?

Dreams + Secrets is equipped with 24 hour medical center. Whether you are admitted to the resort's medical center or a medical facility in Playa Mujeres, your medical expenses will be your out-of-pocket responsibility. Most standard health insurance policies do not cover treatment outside of the US. Please check with your insurance provider for more information. To ensure that you have assistance with medical expenses during your trip, we strongly recommend the purchase of travel protection . Sixthman offers you a leading travel insurance plan through our partnership with Travel Insured International. Are service dogs permitted to travel?

Yes. Dreams + Secrets accepts service dogs that are trained to perform a specific task. A service dog may be needed for many different conditions, which would be acceptable under the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines. It is your responsibility to be aware of what is required for to travel with a service animal. Please contact resort to inquire about their small-dog program.

New data have been obtained on the difference between morpho-biological and physiological characteristics and properties of H. grandiflorum seeds depending on the habitat of the parent plants. In 2009 and 2020, the dynamics of individual indicators of photosynthetic activity during the germination of H. grandiflorum indicates a certain relationship between the habitat conditions of the mother plant and the physiological state of germinating seeds. In seeds from CP 1 and CP 2, which were formed under conditions of limited ecotope resources, the intensity of photosynthesis, stomatal conductivity and the value of the A/Ci ratio were higher during germination, and the transpiration intensity was lower than during germination of CP 3 seeds. Correlation interactions of different strengths between individual indicators of photosynthesis and water exchange during seed germination have been established: a close negative relationship between the intensity of assimilation and the concentration of CO2 in the intercellular space (rs=-0.953 at P<0.05); weak positive relationship between assimilation intensity and stomatal conductivity for H 2 O (rs=0.326, P<0.05); close positive relationship between transpiration intensity and stomatal conductivity for H 2 O (rs=0.969, P<0.05); medium strength relationship between transpiration intensity and CO 2 assimilation intensity (rs=0.5367, P<0.05); weak negative between transpiration intensity and intercellular CO 2 concentration (rs= - 0.3301, P<0.05).

• Segezha Group : will install four bag production lines in Lobnya

One of Segezha Group's ( MOEX : SGZH, a part of Sistema PJSFC) strategic priorities is expanding its presence on the Russian domestic paper packaging market and creating new processing facilities.

The group is currently equipping a branch of Segezha Packaging LLC in Lobnya, Moscow Region , with modern bag production lines. With an investment of approximately RUB 1 billion , the new plant is designed to produce over 138 million consumer packaging units per year.

Two production lines for consumer packaging were launched in Q1 2021 with great results. The equipment is supplied by the German machine building company Garant Maschinen. The delivery of two more machines is expected in Q2, but these will be manufactured by the American-French concern Holweg Weber. The lines will make it easier to flexibly change packaging formats, including switching between flat and twist handles, all on the same equipment. In addition, in 2021 Segezha Group signed contracts for the delivery of a new slitting machine and SOMA, a Czech-produced eight-colour flexo printing machine to Lobnya, which will expand the asset's technological and printing capabilities.

Around the world, the use of paper packaging is constantly expanding. Segezha Group's products are environmentally friendly and easy to reprocess. The packaging is used at enterprises that produce dry construction mixtures, cement, chemical products, fertilizers, animal products, charcoal, and food. The holding's packaging solutions are in high demand in the retail, e-commerce, and delivery markets.

Nowadays the holding's processing assets are mastering new packaging solutions: small-format packaging and bags with windows. Our innovative 3-5 kg small-size packaging for dry construction mixtures and windowed paper bags for fruit and vegetables received the industry's Part Awards at the 25th International exhibition for the packaging industry, RosUpack, in June 2021 . The company's next innovative packaging solutions will be fully biodegradable yet impermeable bags, as well as consumer packaging using biopolymers. These plans will be facilitated by the launch of an R&D centre for packaging in Segezha this year.
