DAY 1: HANOI – HALONG BAY: (Lunch + Dinner)

8:00 AM: The bus and tour guide will pick you up at the designated meeting point around the Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem District, the Office, the Opera House, and the Cathedral. The tour will depart for Ha Long Bay. On the way, there will be a 20-minute stop in Hai Duong for relaxation and rest. 

12:00 PM: Arrive at Ha Long Bay, and the tour guide will assist you with boarding the Cruise Ship. You will be welcomed with a drink, and the check-in process will be completed. After checking in, you will return to the Cruise Ship’s restaurant for lunch. From here, the ship will depart and take you among the limestone caves and rocky islets of Ha Long Bay. What could be more wonderful than enjoying a meal with friends and family while admiring the breathtaking beauty of Ha Long Bay right before your eyes?

3:00 PM: The cruise will stop for a visit to the Surprising Cave , which is the most beautiful and largest cave in Ha Long Bay, known by the French as “Grotte des surprises.” Passengers will disembark and explore the cave for 40 minutes before returning to the cruise.

12:00 You will arrive in Halong Bay tourist wharf, meet our captain and crew, transferred to Fantasea cruise, enjoy cocktail, and check in cabin.

12:30 Lunch is ready in restaurant. Enjoy the lunch, while we cruise toward Halong Bay with beautiful landscape of mountain and islets.

15:30 Fantasea cruise stop in Surprising Cave, one of the most beautiful cave and largest cave in Halong Bay. Tourist will be surprising because of its beauty, Take some photos with stalactites and stalagmites. It take 45 minutes in the cave.

16:15 You will be transferred to Titop island, where you can join swimming, trekking to the peak of island for Halong Bay view.

17:30 Back to our Fantasea cruise for relax and enjoy the view in Fantasea sundeck.

16:30 Enjoy set menu dinner with romantic Halong bay view surrounded.

20:00- 23:00 You will join bar, dancing, karaoke, squid fishing...

Overnight on Fantasea cruise with comfortable room.

DAY 02: FANTASEA CRUISE- TREKKING, BIKING IN CAT BA NATIONAL PARK- OVERNIGHT IN CAT BA HOTEL (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

07:30 Enjoy breakfast, while we cruise toward Cat Ba Island. Get on bus in Cat Ba harbor the drive to Cat Ba national park. Join biking and trekking to the peak of Cat Ba mountain.

10:00 Our Fantasea bus will pick you up and drive to Cat Ba town, Check in hotel in Cat Ba.

12:00 Lunch will be served in hotel restaurant.

13:30: Transferred to monkey island for swimming and relax.

16:00 Back to our hotel for shower and relax.

18: 00 Enjoy dinner in hotel restaurant,

20:00 Free time to explore cat ba town, join bar, dancing or karaoke.

08:30 We check out, Our bus pick you up and transferred back to Cat Ba harbor. Get on Fantasea cruise, stay on sundeck to enjoy Halong Bay view.

From the exterior the boat looked old but our cabin was very nice. It was a good size and we particularly liked the large window which gave great views. There were several activities on offer during the two day cruise including kayaking, swimming, fishing and a cave boat trip. The food varied. We would give the starters and mains 8/10, the buffet 6/10 but the desserts a disappointing 3/10. The staff onboard were all friendly and helpful. The only downside of the trip was a very noisy family group which spoilt the trip for us and other passengers. We do understand that there was not much the organisers could do about that. My wife and I recently embarked on a one-day overnight cruise on the Doris in Ha Long Bay, which turned out to be a mixed experience. Unfortunately, the cruise started on a sour note as our luggage was lost during transit. This mishap left us without our swimmers, making it impossible to participate in activities like kayaking or enjoying the jacuzzi, and we also had no change of clothing. On a positive note, the scenery of Ha Long Bay was as breathtaking as ever, offering a serene backdrop to our cruise. However, the food served on board was just average and didn't particularly stand out in terms of flavor or presentation. The cruise manager offered a 10% discount on our bar bill as compensation for the inconvenience caused by the lost luggage. While the gesture was appreciated, it felt inadequate considering the credit card fee nearly consumed 4% of this discount, leaving us with a minimal reduction in our expenses. This compensation hardly made up for the lost opportunities and discomfort caused by not having our belongings. In summary, while the natural beauty of Ha Long Bay is undeniable, the experience aboard the Doris was marred by logistical issues and lackluster compensation efforts. Upon arriving at the village, it was an enormous theme park that reminded me of Disneyland or Universal Studios in the US! We arrived early afternoon and there were thousands of spectators everywhere. After taking another gondola ride to the Golden Hands Bridge, we encountered hundreds of people already on the bridge. So we went back to our hotel room and took a nap. A powerful thunder storm with strong winds arrived with torrential down pours! Fortunately for us, the storm caused most of the other tourists to vacate the Ba Na Hills areas. So we went back to the Bridge and found only a handful of people there. • Topher V 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Would definitely do again! This tour was so wonderful! The scenery does not disappoint—it is so beautiful and there is so much of it! It felt very peaceful, especially coming from Hanoi. Our guide Tuon (spell?) was so kind, very informative, funny, and a lot of fun! The other staff on the boat were also very conscientious and kind. We had a small group, and we all had lots of fun. The food was delicious and we learned how to make spring rolls! The cocktails and coffee were also sooo good! The rooms are a bit smaller than what you probably expect from the pictures, but the pictures a pretty accurate otherwise. You just have to remember this is a boat, not a large hotel, so the rooms are necessarily small. But they were comfy and we slept well. We had a karaoke party at night, and it was SO FUN!!
