Muktinath Tour Package: Visit Muktinath Temple from Kathmandu

Muktinath Tour

Tour Introduction

Muktinath Temple Tour : One of the famous Nepal's tour package among Hindus and Buddhist, Muktinath Tour is a very popular pilgrimage tour in Annapurna Conservation Area of Nepal. The Muktinath Temple is situated at an altitude of 13,000 feet above sea level in Mustang district and is also known among the Hindus as Mukti Chhetra, or the "abode of salvation". In this Muktinath Tour , you will be visited a small pagoda-style temple of Lord God Vishnu which is worshipped by both Hindus and Buddhists. The Buddhists worship the deity as one of the Bodhisattvas and Mukti Kshetra by Hindus. There are 108 sacred water spouts flowing with icy cold water where devotees take a quick bath. Nearby is the temple of Jwala Mai, or the Goddess of Flame, with the phenomenal underground blue flame.

The word "Muktinath" is obtained from two words "Mukti" and "Nath" which means "Salvation or Nirvana" and "God or Master" respectively. According to Hindu Myth, it is a belief that this world is "MAYA" (an illusion) of life cycle taking birth and rebirth on this earth. And to exit from this chain Hindu devotees visit this temple to take bath in 108 waterspouts (Mukti Dhara) and 2 holy ponds (Mukti Kunda) which is located in the backyard and front of the temple respectively.

If you want to visit Mukthinath Temple with a travel agency without a second thought go with Lumle holidays.

I & my mom booked from Kathmandu to Muktinath & return for 6 days. From the start of the trip to the end of the trip, Nipendra made sure that we don't get stuck anywhere after the 2way flight canceled from Pokhara to Jomsom & return due to bad weather.

He managed very good by suddenly arranging the private Jeep. The private car driver was very humble.

Didn't felt anywhere like he runs this agency just for money or does some tricks to make extra money.

My mom was very happy with the agency. All the best for Lumle Holidays

Amazing Trip to Muktinath

Amazing Trip to Muktinath

It was a wonderful trip to Mukthinath and Kathmandu, which I had done in OCT 2019 with my family.

The trip was arranged by Lumle Holidays in an excellent way, suiting my needs.

The overall experience was too good, and I highly recommend them for holiday makers to get their services, when you visit Nepal.

They arranged everything so well, it was like staying at home, with personalized attention.

The Highlight of the trip was the guide Mr. Nipendra, who was amazing and shared all the details of the places of visit in a great way.

Great Service, Memorable trip to Nepal (Muktinath)

Great Service, Memorable trip to Nepal (Muktinath)

I have traveled with my wife (11/11/2019 to 15/11/2019) to Nepal for The Temples Visits (Kathmandu, Pokhara, Jomsom, Muktinath).

Did everything that they promised for my package, believable and trust-able.

Excellent arrangement has taken through Muktinath Tour. Good hospitality. Nice hotel arrangements and a good breakfast. Vehicles were on time, well organized, efficient, and a good welcome. The tour was good.

Special and Big thanks to Mr. Nipendra Maharjan, Operation Manager, Lumle holidays. He was all the time responded to my E-mail (24*7) and answered all my questions.

All the Temples visits were a nice and memorable trip.

Once again many thanks to Lumle holidays.

I will certainly use them again and recommend to my friends going to visit Nepal.

Ought to visit Muktinath once in a Life

Ought to visit Muktinath once in a Life

I have toured with my friends during May starting from Kathmandu, Pokhara, Mukthinath, and UNESCO recommended places through Lumle Travel agency for weekdays. An awesome experience and an eye tonic tour giving pleasure to our senses and soul. It's devotional, joyous, and spiritual too.

An article about this Mukthinath Yatra is not sufficient as this requires a lot to share. The natural scenic beauty of Pokhara is to be explored to one's best. Enjoying nature depends on one's affliction to nature. In a word NATURE is GOD.

To the practical persons, Swamy Jal Narayan జి will prove that God exists and can be seen through naked eyes.

Mukthinath is a place where the earthly pleasures end and spiritual travel starts. U should have the guts to nullify your feelings. The atmosphere here is cold breezes from the Himalayas and severe sun rays can be experienced simultaneously and through this, you should ahead to Mukthinath.

Cold breezes represent happiness and hot sunrays Ur hardship in life. Sacrificing both u should reach God unattached to sensory feelings, u get Mukti.

You are liberated mentally and neutral becoming just an instrument in the hands of God. To write about this trip is a lot and loads left.

What can be done is to enjoy and experience urself. I thank Lumle travels and the Guide, Sri Nipendra Maharjan along with the crew of travels for establishing this travel agency and serving people.

I wish the best for Lumle to carry-on this activity and let this expand to many branches and serving the self and nation in terms of revenue and bringing pride to the company and country, Nepal.

About Muktinath Yatra:

Muktinath Temple Tour is a famous spiritual yatra for both Hindus and Buddhist. Yearly, many devotees from inside the country and from India visit Muktinath Temple for the sake of getting salvation. Some say that bad works of people get purified by the holy spirit of Lord Muktinath, some say just a visit to the temple will help achieve nirvana, and some say building a small home of stones around Muktinath Temple means reserving a place in heaven. Besides these aspects, Muktinath village also offers the wonderful landscape of desert hills and the towering white snow-capped Annapurna Massif. Dramatic changes on the journey from greenery hills to the drylands and experience the lifestyle of the villagers from sub-tropical to Himalayan laps is the remarkable opportunity of this pilgrimage tour.

Why people visit Muktinath Temple?

Muktinath Temple holds the significant place among Hindus as well as Buddhist. Hindus worship the holy mandir as  "Mukti Kshetra" means "place of getting liberation". Likewise, Buddhist worship the temple as "Chumig Gyatsa" means "hundred waters". As per the Hinduism, lord god, Vishnu incarnated in the form of Shaligram (fossils) here due to the curse of Brinda (wife of Jalandhar). Therefore, Shaligrams found here is worshipped as Vishnu god and requires to establish the holy chapel in every Hindus home.

Similarly, Char Dham Yatra is incomplete without visiting Muktinath Temple and Pashupatinath Temple. After taking a holy bath under 108 water springs (located in the backyard) and two holy Kunda (ponds located in the front of the temple), devotees rinses their past sins and achieve the salvation from birth and re-birth of the lifecycle. Afterwards, the Char Dham Yatra get completed. This is the main reason why people visit Muktinath Temple.

Likewise, the forehead of the Sati (first wife of god Shiva) was fallen in this place when Shiva was wandering with the corpse of Sati Devi. So, the place is also worshipped as one of the 51 Shakti Peeth and considered to be 106th among the available 108 Divya Desam (premium temples).

Where does Muktinath Temple locate?

Surrounded by the Annapurna Mountains, the two-story pagoda style Muktinath Temple is located in the isolated Mustang District of Nepal at an altitude of 3,710 meters above sea-level. The temple also visited as a part of famous Annapurna Circuit Trekking after crossing Thorong La Pass. From Kathmandu (the capital city of Nepal), the temple is in 406 km distance and takes at least two days to reach there either by motorable road or by regular flight. One can also charter a helicopter from Kathmandu and reach directly at Muktinath within 1:30 hours. The helicopter will be landed at Ranipauwa (jeep station) then ride on horse to reach the temple.

How to go to Muktinath?

Pokhara is the gateway to reach Muktinath. Pokhara is 206 km far from Kathmandu and takes 7 hours via motorable road and 25 mins by flight. From Pokhara, the onward journey depends upon the traveler choice. For easy access, take a 15 mins flight to Jomsom and jeep drive for 1:30 hours along the Kaligandaki River and visit the temple. Or trek all the way to the Muktinath from Jomsom halting one overnight at Kagbeni. One can also travel via jeep drive from Pokhara to Muktinath. Take your time to appreciate the intricate details of the reclining statue of Lord Vishnu, its size, and the open air settings. Then, stop by Swayambhunath Stupa , famously known as the Monkey Temple , a religious site with Hindu and Buddhist harmony. You must climb certain steps to reach the top of the hill, where the stupa is located. You can have your lunch in between the sightseeing, according to your timing and nearby places of interest.

Pashupatinath Temple is the largest and holiest shrine for Hindus, dedicated to Lord Shiva. This temple, situated on the bank of the Bagmati River, was built in the 5th century. It is represented by a four faced shiva-lingam housed in the main temple. There are around 492 temples, 15 Shivalayas (shrines of Lord Shiva), and 12 Jyotirlingas (phallic shrines) to explore. Although only Hindus are allowed to enter the temple, visitors can clearly see the temple and the activities performed on the temple premises from the eastern bank of the Bagmati river. A centre for Hindu pilgrimage, this temple hosts different major festivals such as Maha Shivaratri and pujas such as Rudra Abhishek and evening Aarti. Additionally, no entrance fee is charged for Indian nationals to enter the temple.

The Jal Narayan Temple , also known as Budhanilkantha Temple , is a famous Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is around 8 km north of Kathmandu at the base of Shivapuri Hill. Unlike other Hindu temples, Budhanilkantha is an open-air shrine offering a unique and serene atmosphere.

Believed to be the oldest Buddhist shrine in Nepal, the history of the Swayambhunath Stupa dates back 2500 years. Also known as a Monkey temple , it is a hilltop pilgrimage site surrounded by smaller temples, stupas, and monasteries. This site shows the perfect harmony of Hindu and Buddhist religions with the combination of Buddhist stupas and Hindu shrines.

The temple is known for its nine roofed pagodas and its richly decorated interior. Other notable key attractions on the square are the Krishna Temple, the Taleju Temple, the Bhimsen Temple , and the Patan Museum . Description

Whether you are a Hindu or a Buddhist, or just love a spiritual and holy site and the peace of mind, sanctuary and tranquillity it provides, visiting Muktinath is an absolute must. Hindu Pilgrims often visit Muktinath to bath in the 108 (holy number as well) water fountains that encase the shrine, and Buddhists visit the everlasting blue flame, said to be provided by the holy Jwaladevi. The temple encapsulates love, spirituality, scenic beauty and tremendous magnificence. Best visited between the months of May to November, if you are looking to appease your inner-self and delve into some much needed spirituality in the ever increasingly material world, ensure you consider a Muktinath Tour Package .

For both Buddhists and Hindus, one of the holiest places in the world after Pashupatinath is Muktinath. The celebrated sanctuary of Lord Muktinath lies in the locale of Mustang and is arranged around 18 kms upper east of Jomsom at a height of around 3800 meters. The main shrine place is a pagoda moulded sanctuary committed to Lord Vishnu. This is one of the 106th consecrated Muktichhetra, or the provider of Salvation of 108 holy places of Vaishnavs, where Lord Vishnu got free from the scourge of Sati. At Muktinath are also the biggest Shaligram and Jwaladevi, a celestial fire is persistently burning since a phenomenal number of years.

Guests can appreciate great perspectives of the Himalayas, awesome and common valley of Kaligandaki and an assorted variety of ethnic culture. Whether it be the various trekking trails that Muktinath offers, the food, or the quaintly cobbled views of the streets that this amazing little town has, a tour of Nepal is incomplete without visiting Muktinath. Whether one finds their piece of mind or finds themselves enlightened at the end of the journey, Muktinath is a spiritual experience like no other in the world.

Most memorable trip to Muktinath

I am a solo Piligrimage Traveller and for the first time travelled through travel agency along with my Father. Fortunately my entire trip was like a surprise package since I had no clue about the routes that I would come across while traveling to Muktinath Temple. Nipender who was the Operations Lead at Lumle Travel Agency accompanied us throughout the duration and educated us about each and every detail of the locations and the history behind it. We had a very skilled and professional Driver too who made the journey ease and fun. There was no issues with Accommodation and food during Muktinath Yatra. Also, we could stop the vehicle in between for site seeing and taking pictures without any restrictions. Overall my Dad and I were completely satisfied and happy :) Read more

Comfortable and well organized trip to Mukthinath

Traveled to Muktinath in November 2018 with parents and aunt. The trip (3D/2N) was organized by Lumle Holidays. Nipendra, the Operations Manager accompanied us personally to Mukthinath Mandir. We were received at Kathmandu airport and took different modes of transportation during our trip. The stay, travel and other arrangements were taken care perfectly and never even once there was a hiccup. Nipendra went above and beyond and helped us with everything. Right from the detailed mail for my initial inquiry, to the constant follow up messages till we reached our home (in Chennai), Nipendra made sure we were more than happy to choose Lumle Holidays. I was a bit nervous about the safety and health of my parents since it was cold (-4 degrees) and the travel might be tiresome. The itinerary along with Nipendra's guidance made sure we had a nice time throughout the trip. Do not think twice before booking with Lumle. Make sure you discuss all the plans and choose the one which is preferable. You will definitely get good guidance from Lumle Holidays. Read more
