As valentine's day approaches, couples are seeking the perfect backdrop to capture their special moments in northern ireland - here are the top five.
Northern Ireland's most Instagrammable spots have been determined in a study conducted by travel experts Deals Points ahead of Valentine's Day.
The study analyzed tourist destinations in Northern Ireland by the number of Instagram hashtags associated with each location - and the 18th century Mussenden Temple toped the list with 30,892 hashtags.
Mussenden Temple, which is located on seacliffs near Castle Rock, towers over the Atlantic Ocean, boasting commanding views of Downhill Strand and distant views of the Inishowen Peninsula in Co Donegal.

Castle Ward in Downpatrick ranked third on the list, primarily due to its connection to the hit HBO series "Game of Thrones."
Constructed in the 1760s, the castle overlooks Strangford Lough and was used as a filming location for Winterfell during the eight seasons of "Game of Thrones."

Deal Points founder Andy Medearis said the new study can help couples choose where to visit on Valentine's Day.
"Everyone loves going on an adventure, but when it comes to planning something special for Valentine’s Day, people want to go the extra mile for their loved ones," Medearis said in a statement.
"Whether that’s because a proposal might be on the cards, or they just want to express how much they love their partner, having the perfect backdrop to commemorate the occasion can make all the difference."

The Only Travel Accessory You Really Need on Your Next Airplane Flight
Stop using your airline's crappy headphones to watch in-flight entertainment.
The AirFly Pro is $11 off during Amazon's first-ever Big Spring Sale.
Even the worst Bluetooth headphones you own are probably higher quality than the absolutely terrible wired headphones you get on an international flight.
I don't usually have a problem with this, seeing as I always take my AirPods Pro so that I can listen to music from my phone or watch something that I've downloaded on my tablet, but sometimes I really want to take advantage of the in-flight entertainment.
You can always find recently released blockbuster films on in-flight entertainment, or popular TV shows that are only available on a certain streaming service. Most of the time though, I want to use in-flight entertainment because my devices are dead, because I just didn't plan very well.
Don't miss : Best Noise-Canceling Headphones for 2024
And then I'm forced to use the worst headphones you've ever seen. In an environment that's already difficult for listening in general. I'm dealing with loud engine sounds and crying babies, and the in-flight headphones are always tinny and allow all the outside sounds to bleed in so that you can barely hear anything.
Stop watching in-flight entertainment with those awful airline headphones.
That's where the AirFly Pro comes in.
The AirFly Pro from Twelve South , currently on sale for $44 for Amazon's Big Spring Sale , is a very minimally designed dongle that you can connect into the 3.5mm headphone jack on your flight in order to listen to in-flight entertainment on your personal Bluetooth headphones.
The AirFly Pro is $11 off for Amazon's Big Spring Sale.
All you have to do is pair the AirFly Pro with your headphones, like AirPods Pro or Bose QuietComfort, plug the AirFly Pro in and you're all set. You don't even need to use your phone to connect the two devices.
If you're worried about battery life, the AirFly Pro can fully charge in three hours and last for more than 25 hours.
You can also pair two separate headphones to a single AirFly Pro, in case you're with someone else on a flight and want to watch the same movie or show. If you're flying on an international flight that has that weird dual-plug headphone jack, Twelve South also sells the AirFly Pro Deluxe , which comes with an adapter and suede travel pouch for $65.
And if that's not enough, the AirFly Pro also doubles as an audio transmitter, so you can turn any speaker with a headphone jack, like your old car stereo, into a Bluetooth speaker.
Besides my Anker MagSafe battery pack , the AirFly Pro really has become my most treasured travel accessory when I fly.

During Amazon’s spring sale , it’s marking down the fantastic AirFly Pro wireless accessory. This gadget plugs into any device that has a headphone jack, like a Steam Deck, Nintendo Switch, a laptop, or an iPad, and lets two Bluetooth headphones (including AirPods) connect to it for joint listening. It’s very handy to have if you and a travel partner want to watch shows and movies together, or use it to enjoy game audio. Normally $54.99, the AirFly Pro is discounted to $43.99 through the end of this week.
Twelve South AirFly Pro

- $44 at Amazon
The AirFly Pro is a handy plug-and-play device you’ll likely be smitten to own. All you need to do to connect is plug it into your audio source, power it on, then put your headphones in pairing mode as you hold the corresponding button on the AirFly Pro. In addition to using it to connect to portable electronics, some people use it to connect their wireless headphones to in-flight entertainment screens, or to treadmills that have TV and audio-out functionality. Additionally, if your car has a 3.5mm headphone jack, you can plug this in and connect your phone to send audio to your car speakers with its Aux In feature (Twelve South’s cheaper, but still great AirFly Duo lacks the capability to receive audio wirelessly. It can only transmit audio to headphones.)
The AirFly Pro can last up to 25 hours per charge. When it’s in need of a recharge, simply plug a USB-C cable into its port. There are many competitors to the AirFly Pro at this point, but Twelve South’s options are still the best out there.

Datalex reviews long-term strategy as 2023 revenue to top forecast
Full year ebitda loss to fall to $2.9m as travel retail software company signs new deals with latam airlines and air macau.
Datalex chief executive Jonathan Rockett: travel retail software company expects revenue for 2023 to have grown by 23 per cent.
Datalex said on Wednesday that it is currently reviewing the company’s long-term strategy under its new chief executive, as the travel retail software company expects revenue for 2023 to have grown by 23 per cent to $28.9 million (€26.6m).
The company had previously forecast that revenue would grow by about 15 per cent last year as it benefited from the post-pandemic travel recovery.
Datalex now expects to report a loss before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation of $2.9 million for last year, which marks an improvement from a $5.3 million loss for 2022, it said in a trading update. It added that 2023 was “a turnaround year for the global aviation industry”, and Datalex benefited as passenger traffic volumes further recovered and airlines continued to invest in their ecommerce technology.
“The group entered 2024 with a strong recurring revenue base and has a solid pipeline of growth that will be unlocked as new customers are activated further,” it said.

The company renewed contracts in 2023 with key existing customers JetBlue, Air China, Air Transat and Aer Lingus, and it signed new deals with LatAm Airlines and Air Macau.
“As go-live milestones are achieved, higher margin platform revenue is expected to materially drive revenue growth, with expectations that this will be most pronounced commencing in 2025,” the company, which has been led since November by chief executive Jonathan Rockett, said.
“We are currently reviewing our longer-term strategy and how we can maximise long-term value creation for our customers and shareholders. A key focus for the group is to ensure that we continue to prioritise operational excellence across all areas of our business. Efficiency and productivity will be important to achieve our goal of improving bottom line performance in addition to top line revenue growth.”
The company’s cash at the end of last year totalled $5.8 million, down from $6.5 million in December 2022.
Datalex owed €13 million to its main shareholder Dermot Desmond’s Tireragh vehicle as of September and faces having to raise alternative funding this year to refinance those high-cost loans – which carry a rate of 18 per cent – before they mature in December. The company had looked last year at carrying out an equity raise, but decided to hold back because of its depressed share price.
