'EA Sports PGA Tour' 2023 release date, price, courses, consoles and more on newest golf video game

Those who indulge will be able to play at major championship venues such as augusta national.

EA Sports is officially back in the golf video game space with its impending release of "EA Sports PGA TOUR". Marking its first venture back to the golf scene since "Rory McIlroy PGA Tour" in 2015, the return to consoles will feature stark contrasts compared to those that came before. Having previously featured cover athletes such as McIlroy and primarily Tiger Woods from 1999-2014, this year's edition of the game will not include a big-name superstar on the cover. EA Sports will instead lean on new gameplay options, advanced technology and the inclusion of some of the most storied golf courses around the world.

Below is everything you need to know ahead of the upcoming release of "EA Sports PGA Tour".

Release date

The official release date for "EA Sports PGA TOUR" is Friday, March 24, just two weeks before the 2023 Masters. This makes some sense as the game will feature a Road to the Masters gameplay option. 

Price and consoles

The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Featuring three different editions, each will come at a different price point. The "Deluxe Edition" is available for pre-order at $84.99 while the "Standard Edition" comes in at $69.99. Lastly, the "EA Play Pro Edition" is listed at $99.99/yr.

The game will include 30 courses in total, and boasts some of the world's most prominent venues such as Augusta National Golf Club, Pebble Beach Golf Links, Southern Hills Country Club, The Old Course at St Andrews Links, The Country Club, Kiawah Island Golf Resort's Ocean Course, Torrey Pines, Evian Resort Golf Club in Évian-les-Bains, France, East Lake Golf Club, TPC Southwind, The Los Angeles Country Club, Wilmington Country Club and more. It will also feature the major host courses from 2021 and 2022 as well as the new 2023 majors courses releasing post-launch. 

You can play the game as Scottie Scheffler, Cameron Champ, Xander Schauffele, Sungjae Im, Nelly Korda, Lexi Thompson, Jordan Spieth, Tony Finau and Hideki Matsuyama.

My Career mode

The game will include a role playing game mode-type progression in the Road to the Masters. As one's golf game improves, the likelihood of donning the green jacket or raising a major championship trophy increases. Users will be able to create and customize a golfer and develop their skills through the 20 different shot types available. From there, players will compete in major championships, participate in some of the PGA Tour's best events -- such as The Players Championship -- and ultimately the FedEx Cup. In addition to this, players can take on top amateur championships including the Augusta National Women's Amateur, the U.S. Amateur and other elite international amateur events.

LPGA and the Amundi Evian Championship

In partnership with the LPGA, fans can compete at The Amundi Evian Championship, one of the LPGA Tour's five major championships. They will also have the opportunity to play as several female athletes as well as create a female golfer in the Create-A-Player feature and be able to participate in a series of LPGA-themed challenges and other events.

New technology

• True-to-Life course visuals:  EA's Frostbite engine uses state-of-the-art equipment such as drone technology, custom LiDAR flight helicopters and more to develop terrain maps allowing to game to depict courses exactly as they appear in real life
• ShotLink:  Golfers will authentically be replicated with accurate player ratings, skills and magnified true-to-life in-game events by utilizing the PGA Tour's proprietary real-time scoring system since 2001.
• Trackman data:  Insights from TrackMan will allow for authentic gameplay utilizing a myriad of stats including club tuning, flight trajectory, landing position and much more.

What about Tiger Woods?

Woods is no longer with the EA Sports family after their partnership from 1999-2014. The 15-time major champion is now with the 2K franchise , and made it known to his followers where they can play as him.

Augusta National is back in a video game.

Coming March 24, EA Sports PGA Tour will launch on all platforms, bringing EA Sports back into the golf video game realm. The last EA Sports golf game launched in 2015 with Rory McIlroy PGA Tour.

On Thursday, EA Sports launched a trailer featuring the game’s new elements. EA Sports PGA Tour will be the exclusive home of all four men’s majors, including the Masters.

Players will be able to compete in the Masters, PGA Championship, U.S. Open and Open Championship at numerous host courses, including all 2021 and 2022 venues. The 2023 ones will also be released at a later date. Additionally, players can compete in the top amateur championships including the Augusta National Women’s Amateur, the U.S. Amateur and other elite international amateur events. Players can also compete in the LPGA’s Amundi Evian Championship

EA Sports PGA Tour will also have additional content throughout the 2023 PGA Tour and LPGA seasons.

“We’re bringing the premier PGA Tour experience to players around the world with real-world golf data powering incredibly realistic gameplay with every shot and some of the most iconic courses in the world rendered in painstaking detail,” Cam Weber, EA Sports’ EVP and GM, said in a release. “From The Old Course at St Andrews Links to Pebble Beach Golf Links and more, we’re giving players the chance to tee off in bucket list golf experiences like never before.”

The Players Championship and all three events of the FedEx Cup Playoffs will be in the game. As part of the career mode, top golfers at the end of the year will be given the opportunity to win the FedEx Cup.

Players will be able to create and customize a golfer and develop their skills. With 20 shot types available as players progress in the game, they can enhance their skill set for driving, approach, short game, or putting, depending on their style.

Players can also play as several female athletes and create a female golfer in the overhauled Create-A-Player feature. They can participate in a series of LPGA-themed challenges and events. Iona Stephen joins the EA commentary team as the first female on-course commentator in-game, bringing her experienced insights from both playing professionally and working in golf broadcasting.

ShotLink and TrackMan data will also be incorporated to give players accurate rankings of skills.

Pre-orders for EA Sports PGA Tour are available now. Price will be $69.99 for the standard edition and $84.99 for the deluxe edition, which gives players access to numerous add-ons, like three-day early access to the game and Augusta National, Players Championship gear, the Grand Slam gear bundle, a Scotty Cameron putter in-game, 1,500 premium PGA Tour points, a PGA Tour XP Bundle and Masters gear.

EA Play members will also receive early access to the game, starting with a 10-hour early access trial on March 21. EA Play Pro members will enjoy unlimited access to the deluxe edition – as well as the exclusive EA Play Staff Bag – starting March 21. Lastly, all EA Play members will unlock additional bonuses for EA Sports PGA Tour, with monthly drops of pro shop perks such as exclusive headcovers, shirts, hats and more.

EA Sports PGA Tour will be available on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC (EA App, Steam and Epic Games Store).

30 bucket-list courses to play in a deep career and try your riskiest shots on — or play them safe

It only seems like the biggest features in EA Sports PGA Tour , which launches April 7, are the ones that fans already played and enjoyed a decade ago. Augusta National Golf Course and all four of the men’s major championships are in; even things like boosted drives with “big-hit moment” camera changes are making a return.

But focusing only on the return of the Masters Tournament, or the visual fidelity with which Augusta National and other courses are presented, would sell short what I saw in a presentation last week. Namely, a career mode that is even more RPG-like than before, offers more ways to customize and mold your created golfer’s playing style, and looks like it will swallow just as many of my evenings as the old Tiger Woods games did.

EA Sports PGA Tour looks like a game where, even though there will be more real-life professionals on the roster than ever, the developers understand that the users themselves are the real stars of the show.

“Even when we had Tiger, over 97% of people play as a created player,” producer Ben Ramsour told Polygon in an interview after the presentation. “So we know that’s a core motivation. However, we’ve done a lot to build these relationships with these pros, and we want to tell their stories in the game.”

Granted, I couldn’t pull much from a single glimpse of the detailed golfer progression screen we were shown. But players will rank up 10 different skills (each with 10 ranks) as they acquire skill points with each level. Lead producer David Baker even intimated that at advanced levels, players will be able to unlock packages of traits that will make their golfer’s abilities resemble the playing styles of the PGA’s and LPGA’s biggest stars.

All of this leans into new gameplay that continues to offer broad-based shot-shaping features and differentiates them even more with 20 shot types, some of which are unlocked in the later stages of attribute progression. Those shot types may also be ranked up, it seems.

“I think a big thing is experimentation,” Ramsour said, noting that players can again create multiple avatars and progress them individually. He also said, “We want users to see, Hey, Tony Finau’s game really matches well to Augusta, but it’s terrible for Harbour Town .”

This is surfaced through a nifty little menu that I saw called Course Fit, which stole the show as far as something new that will connect me more to my created golfer. Course Fit, seen on the course selection screen, gives players a relative view of their skills versus what the course will expect of a winning player. Five attributes — Power, Driving, Approach, Short Game, and Putting — all have bars; the closer a player’s bar is to the course’s, the more they’ll be able to take advantage of that characteristic.

It’s not an attribute boost; it’s just visual information that will give me a sense of just how risky my ideas are on the second shot of, say, one of East Lake Golf Club’s par-5 holes, or how important it’s going to be to stick this approach at Pebble Beach, where there’s a demanding putting game waiting for me.

“So for me, I want to win the major championships,” Ramsour said. “So in my primary created player, I am leveling up the shot types to win the four majors. But eventually, I’m going to want to win every single tournament on the hardest mode. So I know I’m going to have to be less of a bomber and more precise to win at Harbour Town.”

Although players may have multiple created golfers, most stick with one for Career. They will most likely see all of the differences Ramsour mentioned in Challenges, a separate mode, but one that has a supplementary effect to Career.

Challenges, to me, resembled the kind of bite-sized moments available in Madden Ultimate Team’s single-player offering. Indeed, they’ll be live-service content, driven by real-world occurrences, and like MUT, they’ll use different players in addition to the created pro. Baker said that the challenges are designed to play like between-rounds practices, meaning they’ll be shorter experiences focused on a particular skill or a particular moment.

The rewards will be skill points for use in created-player progression, as well as clubs and cosmetic items they can equip. (Importantly, these clubs, equipment, and apparel do not affect player attributes, as they may have in the past.) Golfers can expect a season-based approach here that other online sports video games have adopted.

All of these modes, players, and courses — 30 at launch, the most ever for the standard edition of an EA Sports golf title — mean little if the core gameplay isn’t tight, informative, and understandable. While the event last week was not hands-on, the developers focused on the swing mechanism and the 20 shot types supporting it in a one-hole demonstration at Augusta’s No. 13.

Best example: a “stinger,” which is a lower but safer shot from the tee. Gameplay designer Craig Penner used the stinger to rope a 266-yard drive with Jordan Spieth that still hugged No. 13’s famous left-hand sweep — it just used the downhill fairway to get its distance. In the end, Spieth sacrificed about 10 yards of distance to make a safer shot. This is something I would often try to replicate in Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 , but the lowest trajectory that game offered didn’t come close to what I saw last week.

Ramsour, playing as 2022 Masters winner Scottie Scheffler, used a boost-assisted power drive — impressive, and successful, but still a dangerous shot that is a blind approach, and which could clip the treetops if not executed perfectly. But again, Scheffler is longer off the tee than Spieth, so both golfers were playing to type and taking, or avoiding, appropriate risks (especially as they were highlighted by Course Fit).

I was also struck by the bits of commentary we heard from the game as the demonstration played out. For once, it sounded like the broadcast team was actually watching what was being played. Lead commentator Rich Lerner returns from 2015’s Rory McIlroy PGA Tour , and on Penner’s shot with Spieth, I heard him discussing the use of the fairway’s width and slope to get the desired result.

EA Sports PGA Tour launches Friday, April 7 — during the second round of the Masters — on PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X . Those who pre-order the $84.99 deluxe edition will get access to the game on Tuesday, April 4. The deluxe edition has additional in-game content, such as virtual currency for the in-game pro shop’s items and an XP boost.

EA Sports PGA Tour Release Date and Details Unveiled

EA has announced that EA Sports PGA Tour will be released on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC on March 24, 2023, with pre-ordering available as of today.

EA emphasizes this will be the exclusive home of the majors, allowing you to play the Masters tournament, the PGA Championship, the US Open Championship, and The Open while chasing the FedEx Cup throughout the season. Thanks to a partnership with the LPGA, you’ll also be able to compete for the Amundi Evian Championship, one of LPGA’s five major championships.

EA Sports PGA Tour Release Date & Details

The game will have 30 courses at launch, including such classics as Augusta, St. Andrews, and Pebble Beach. Utilizing the latest Frostbite engine, developers claim to have recreated the layouts of these courses in painstaking detail courtesy of drone technology, low-flying LIDAR helicopters, and on-course visits. It was apparently impressive enough to earn the coveted seal of approval from the caretakers of the courses when they played a virtual round.

However, as of now there is no word on whether or not you’ll be able to create other courses in the game or if you’ll be left with only the ones EA provides.

It was revealed that there will be an impressive number of ways to strike the ball, as you can select from 20 different types of shot that all have their distinct characteristics. With the game’s Pure Strike mechanics being tracked by PGA Tour ShotLink and Trackman data, your swing dynamics aim to be as realistic as possible. This means that the terrain of your lie and the course conditions will play just as important a role as being good on the sticks. Speaking of which, it was revealed that you’ll only be able to use the analog stick to swing the club, though there was some talk from the development team of adding a 3-click option post-launch.

Along with the ability to create your own golfer, you’ll also have the option to use real golfers from the PGA Tour (minus Tiger of course, who’s exclusive to PGA Tour 2K ), with the likes of Jordan Spieth, Tony Finau and Patrick Cantlay announced as those included at launch. EA was fortunate to be able to scan real golfers during the pandemic thanks to being included in the PGA bubble.

You’ll have the opportunity to further customize the look of your golfer with the help of 40 brands for apparel and equipment. It looks as if a golfer’s skills will be divided into five main categories: power, driving approach, short game, and putting. Over the course of your career, you’ll be able to unlock skill points that you can use to improve your prowess within these categories. You can choose whether you want to begin your career as an amateur or jump right into being a professional where you’ll compete for FedEx Cup points in tournaments and major events over the course of a season.

EA promises that there will be regularly updated challenges that people will be able to play to earn rewards. Because of the partnership with ShotLink, the game can actually scrape the data from real events to have you trying to recreate great shots from events in real life right after they have happened.

Online play will have competitive and casual matchmaking. These elements are expected to be updated with playlists that will vary the formats throughout the game’s cycle. There will even be online tournaments where you can play rounds to post a final score and hope that it holds up against everyone else that’s posting their own. Supporting up to 16 golfers all playing a round simultaneously, there looks to be plenty of chaotic fun to be had from hitting the links with others.

For now, that’s all we have as no hands-on time came with this event. That said, we’ll be sure to track EA Sports PGA Tour all the way up (and through) its March 24 release date.

On which platforms can you play EA Sports PGA Tour ?

This is where PC gamers are allowed to jump from their chair. EA Sports PGA Tour will be available to play on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. We mentioned the eight-year-long wait for a new EA golfing experience, but those are the numbers for consoles. PC was not invited to the last three EA PGA Tour parties, which means they’ve been waiting for closer to 12 years to hit their virtual balls into virtual holes.

Unsurprisingly, last-generation consoles are excluded from the platform list.

How much does EA Sports PGA Tour cost?

The price you’ll have to pay for EA Sports PGA Tour depends on the edition you purchase. EA has announced there will be two different versions of the game, a Standard Edition and a Digital Deluxe Edition. It’s not yet clear what exactly the Deluxe Edition will contain, but we do know it will come at a sizable premium.

For the first time in eight years, EA Sports returns to the golf course with a new PGA Tour game, set to reboot the golfing franchise that has been around since 1999. Here are the PGA Tour Release Date, features, and mechanics that you need to know.

First announced in March 2021, EA Sports PGA Tour is going to be the first new PGA Tour game published by EA Sports since 2015's Rory McIlroy PGA Tour, which was also incidentally the first game in the series not to feature golfing legend Tiger Woods in its cover and title.

EA Sports PGA Tour Release Date: April 7, 2023

EA Sports PGA Tour, not to be confused with 2K's own PGA Tour 2K23, will be coming out on  April 7, 2023 , on PS5 , Xbox Series X , and PC via the EA App, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. Pre-orders are now open for the game, which will cost $69.99 for the standard edition and $84.99 for its Digital Deluxe Edition.

EA Sports' return to the green is illustrative of the growing market in golfing, a sport that saw a resurgence during the pandemic years and has continued receiving new patrons since. However, the game will have to top a video game rival in the form of 2K Sports' own PGA Tour 2K23. On top of that, players will be able to “live the fantasy” of chasing trophies and of course, the coveted Green Jacket, through the different Majors available to play in the game.

The World's Most Exclusive Courses – Augusta National, St Andrews, East Lake, Torrey Pines, and Riviera Country Club are just some of the thirty exclusive “Bucket List” courses that players will get to play in at launch, all meticulously modeled using photogrammetry obtained with the use of helicopters, planes, and drones for a more realistic, more authentic feel of the golf course.

Career Mode and Multiplayer  – Players will be able to simulate an entire career of golfing which could lead them to the Majors and the PGA Tour, a journey that they don't have to do alone, as they can play with up to 16 players in the game's online multiplayer game mode, where all players golf simultaneously.

'EA Sports PGA Tour' 2023 release date, price, courses, consoles and more on newest golf video game

Those who indulge will be able to play at major championship venues such as augusta national.

EA Sports is officially back in the golf video game space with its impending release of "EA Sports PGA TOUR". Marking its first venture back to the golf scene since "Rory McIlroy PGA Tour" in 2015, the return to consoles will feature stark contrasts compared to those that came before. Having previously featured cover athletes such as McIlroy and primarily Tiger Woods from 1999-2014, this year's edition of the game will not include a big-name superstar on the cover. EA Sports will instead lean on new gameplay options, advanced technology and the inclusion of some of the most storied golf courses around the world.

Below is everything you need to know ahead of the upcoming release of "EA Sports PGA Tour".

Release date

The official release date for "EA Sports PGA TOUR" is Friday, March 24, just two weeks before the 2023 Masters. This makes some sense as the game will feature a Road to the Masters gameplay option. 

Price and consoles

The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Featuring three different editions, each will come at a different price point. The "Deluxe Edition" is available for pre-order at $84.99 while the "Standard Edition" comes in at $69.99. Lastly, the "EA Play Pro Edition" is listed at $99.99/yr.

The game will include 30 courses in total, and boasts some of the world's most prominent venues such as Augusta National Golf Club, Pebble Beach Golf Links, Southern Hills Country Club, The Old Course at St Andrews Links, The Country Club, Kiawah Island Golf Resort's Ocean Course, Torrey Pines, Evian Resort Golf Club in Évian-les-Bains, France, East Lake Golf Club, TPC Southwind, The Los Angeles Country Club, Wilmington Country Club and more. It will also feature the major host courses from 2021 and 2022 as well as the new 2023 majors courses releasing post-launch. 

You can play the game as Scottie Scheffler, Cameron Champ, Xander Schauffele, Sungjae Im, Nelly Korda, Lexi Thompson, Jordan Spieth, Tony Finau and Hideki Matsuyama.

My Career mode

The game will include a role playing game mode-type progression in the Road to the Masters. As one's golf game improves, the likelihood of donning the green jacket or raising a major championship trophy increases. Users will be able to create and customize a golfer and develop their skills through the 20 different shot types available. From there, players will compete in major championships, participate in some of the PGA Tour's best events -- such as The Players Championship -- and ultimately the FedEx Cup. In addition to this, players can take on top amateur championships including the Augusta National Women's Amateur, the U.S. Amateur and other elite international amateur events.

LPGA and the Amundi Evian Championship

In partnership with the LPGA, fans can compete at The Amundi Evian Championship, one of the LPGA Tour's five major championships. They will also have the opportunity to play as several female athletes as well as create a female golfer in the Create-A-Player feature and be able to participate in a series of LPGA-themed challenges and other events.

New technology

• True-to-Life course visuals:  EA's Frostbite engine uses state-of-the-art equipment such as drone technology, custom LiDAR flight helicopters and more to develop terrain maps allowing to game to depict courses exactly as they appear in real life
• ShotLink:  Golfers will authentically be replicated with accurate player ratings, skills and magnified true-to-life in-game events by utilizing the PGA Tour's proprietary real-time scoring system since 2001.
• Trackman data:  Insights from TrackMan will allow for authentic gameplay utilizing a myriad of stats including club tuning, flight trajectory, landing position and much more.

Woods is no longer with the EA Sports family after their partnership from 1999-2014. The 15-time major champion is now with the 2K franchise , and made it known to his followers where they can play as him.

Electronic Arts announced a release date for EA Sports PGA Tour today, so mark your calendars for March 24.

The game will be the exclusive home to all four majors in men’s golf. These are the US Open Championship, Masters Tournament, PGA Championship, and The Open.

In addition, the game releases with Road to the Masters featuring Augusta National, challenges, tournaments, and gear tied to the Masters. Additional details on live service content throughout the 2023 PGA Tour and LPGA Tour seasons will be announced.

The video released today alongside the announcement shows off the Pure Strike shot system. It provides you with all the tools needed to tackle courses as the pros do. It also ensures professional golfer’s unique swing and attributes are reflected accurately in the game. Expect fluid swing mechanics accurate to backswing length, speed of followthrough, ball behavior, and lifelike course dynamics.

PGA Tour features 30 courses, such as the Augusta National Golf Club, Pebble Beach Golf Links, Southern Hills Country Club, The Old Course at St Andrews Links, Torrey Pines, Evian-les-Bains, and more. It will also feature past major host courses in 2021 and 2022 and the new 2023 majors courses post-launch.

It also features an RPG-like progression system dubbed the Road to the Masters. As your golf game improves, the closer you will get to become a major champion. You can create and customize your golfer, develop skills and master each course with 20 shot types available as you progress in the game. You will be able to compete to become a major champion and take on events like the FedExCup, and top amateur events.

The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) will allow you to play in the Amundi Evian Championship and have the opportunity to play as several female athletes or to create your own female golfer using the overhauled Create-A-Player system. Iona Stephen will join the commentary team as the first female on-course commentator in-game.

To make the courses come to life, the developers built the game using EA’s Frostbite engine and used drone technology, helicopters, and airplanes equipped with LiDAR scanners to develop terrain maps. Because of this, you can expect courses to appear as they do in real life. The photogrammetry and scanners were also applied to create renderings of clubhouses, vegetation, bridges, tee markers, rock formations, and other on-course elements.

PGA Tour also features ShotLink, the game’s proprietary real-time scoring system, and insights from TrackMan, a world leader in 3D ball flight measurement and swing analysis,

The game will be made available for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via the EA App, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.

Pre-orders for PGA Tour are live alongside the Deluxe Edition which includes three-day early access, and the Augusta National. This edition also includes the Players Championship Gear, The Grand Slam Gear Bundle, Scotty Cameron Putter in-game, 1,500 Premium PGA Tour points, a PGA Tour XP Bundle, and The Masters gear.

EA Play members will also receive early access to the game, starting with a 10-hour early access trial on March 21. EA Sports PGA Tour is the latest game set to join the ranks of EA Play for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in the latest update to the subscription service this Thursday, the mega-publisher has announced.

The golfing simulation title is the first major genre entry from EA since 2015, and launched for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S on April 7, 2023. Powered by the Frostbite engine, EA Sports PGA Tour includes many iconic courses and sees players competing against some of the biggest names in the sport.

Welcome to Season 11!

Season 11 launches as the largest content update to date for EA SPORTS™ PGA TOUR™ with the release of four new courses and the ultimate Major champion of all time, Jack Nicklaus joins as the first playable golfer added since the game's launch. Moreover, starting April 4th, EA Play^ members can enjoy the EA SPORTS™ PGA TOUR™ updates available via the Play List. As with all previous updates, the new courses and Jack Nicklaus are included with no additional purchase required. This now makes a total of 39 playable courses and 23 playable pro golfers.

Included as a 2024 Major Course, Valhalla Golf Course is located in Louisville, Kentucky, a modern, parkland-style course designed by Jack Nicklaus. Characterized by its wide fairways, large, undulating greens, and challenging water hazards, it has been the venue for multiple major championships, including the PGA Championship and the Ryder Cup. Since it hosts the 2024 PGA Championship, Career mode has been updated to have the PGA Championship rotate every season between Valhalla, Oak Hill, and Southern Hills.

Pinehurst No. 2, the second 2024 Major Course to debut, is located in North Carolina and is a world-renowned golf course known for its crowned, undulating greens and strategically placed bunkers. Designed by the legendary Donald Ross, it has hosted more single golf championships, including the U.S. Open Championship and PGA Championship, than any other course in America. It will host the 2024 U.S. Open Championship, so Career mode has been updated to rotate the U.S. Open every season between Pinehurst No. 2, The Los Angeles Country Club, and The Country Club.

The third 2024 Major Course, renowned for its "Postage Stamp" eighth hole, is Royal Troon. Known as a world-class course, with traditional links located on the rugged coast of Scotland. Offering golfers challenging wind conditions, deep bunkers, large putting greens, and undulating fairways, Royal Troon is a frequent stop in the Open Championship rota, including this year. The Open will now rotate in Career mode between Royal Troon, Royal Liverpool, and St Andrews.

Further celebrating the tradition of Masters week, the Augusta National Par 3 Course will also be added to the game. The course is stunningly beautiful and serves as the traditional venue for the Par 3 Contest held annually on the eve of the Masters Tournament.

All four of these incredible courses are now available to play in Quick Play and Private Match and will be featured in Online and Tournament playlist rotations as well. As previous Ryder Cup hosts, Pinehurst No. 2 and Valhalla have also been added to Ryder Cup formats in Quick Play, Online, and Private Match.

Jack Nicklaus, often referred to as “the Golden Bear," is renowned for his powerful drives, precision iron play, and exceptional putting ability, which contributed to his record 18 major championship wins. Nicklaus's six Masters titles add to his legendary status as the greatest Major Champion golfer of all time. When playing as Jack Nicklaus, you’ll notice that he has his own set of golf clubs, four outfits to choose from, and his unique swing animation. Jack Nicklaus is available to play in any format that supports playing with pro golfers.

Season 11 Pro Pass** includes a wide variety of cosmetics in the premium tier including a selection of spring-themed apparel, Jack Nicklaus’ clubs, and one of his outfits. Completing Season 11 Pro Pass will earn you Jack Nicklaus’ '65 Masters Ball Spec in the free tier and the J.LINDEBERG “KV Tour - Azalea” outfit in the premium tier. Throughout the season you’ll earn tokens to level up your Pro Pass by completing live Quests and playing rounds in Online, Tournaments, and Career modes.

Challenges mode has been updated with two new challenge series. The “Drive Chip and Putt” challenges series offers a taste of what it feels like to compete in the famous junior golf competition. The “Jack Nicklaus” challenge series showcases the history of the Golden Bear, featuring some of the best rounds from his Major Championship victories, and a variety of other memorable moments from his legendary career.

Additional Patch Notes

• Jack Nicklaus’ swing animation has been added to the Store rotation.
• Added a “Starter Bundle” which includes a set of rare specs and a currency pack.
• New items added to the store rotation including the TaylorMade Qi10 Driver, Scotty Cameron Circle T putters, and several new apparel items.
• Increased matchmaking search timeout from 2 to 5 minutes.
• Updated the “Into Out” swing animation.
• Fixed the “TaylorMade MySpider - Red” left-handed version of the putter being colored white instead of red.
• [Kiawah] Moved several shrubs and bunker footprint decals that were incorrectly placed.
• [Career] Fix to enable changing outfits in Career mode lobbies.
• [Select Golfer] Updated Patrick Cantlay’s picture.
• [Store] Updated thumbnail icons for “In to Out” and “Sweep” swing animations.
• Additional crash and stability-related fixes.
