Meet LazyTap Party Pontoon, at 300 square feet, this is our largest party boat. This active tour boat offers the true laid back pontoon boating experience, which are great for active tour groups and team building. You are free to move around the boat as much or as little as you want. This is our newest boat on Lake Minnetonka for the season. This adventure is perfect for any corporate event, private birthday party or just for fun on a bachelorette or bachelor parties!

This is the newest and largest single boat we offer and is 26 feet long and almost 12 feet wide! This party boat includes comfortable bar stool seating around the custom tiki bar, and seating for maximum of 18 total guests with plenty of walking room around the almost 300 square foot deck.

Do you have any worry about a bathroom? Don’t! this boat does come equipped with a full bathroom for you to use.

PaddleTap is proud to offer private tours on all of our party boats! These one-of-a-kind Tiki Boats, Pedal Pubs, or Party Pontoons can be rented out on Excelsior Bay or Seaton Channel! Enjoy a boat cruise on Lake Minnetonka!

Take a peek at all our boating options and which locations they start from. You will truly love this experience for any Bachelorette, Birthday or Corporate outing!

All private tours are charged on a per person fee. Prices are $39/person Monday-Wednesday and $45/person Thursday-Sunday with a $4/increase for prime summer on all tickets in July. 10 Tickets or more are required to reserve a private boat. We have a public option that is $55/person if you have less than 10.

2.5 hour Private Tour-Private Tour Back Channel Brewing (18 max)

PaddleTaps longest tour of the season-2 hours and 30 minutes! This tour is new for 2024, and only being offered starting in June of 2024.

Explore Lake Minnetonka in the fall where the leaves start changing. Explore the channels and bays that the larger charter boats cannot offer. Bring your own beverages, some snacks and let us drive you around West Arm/Seaton Channel/Cooks Bay for 2.5 hour on the water, our longest cruises of the year! We will get up and close to some of the best fall colors Lake Minnetonka offers. This tour will have a bathroom on board as well with bluetooth music.

This tour will either be on our largest 30 foot LazyTap double deck boat, or the 25 foot TikiTap boat. Depending on boat availability with other tours being offered"

Pricing is $70/person for the 2.5 hours, and private bookings require 8 tickets to be purchased as a down-payments are utlizied before the season starts to reserve your boat. But you are more than welcome to book as many seats as you need up to the boat maximum of 18 guests.

Small Group/Public Tour (All Boats)

Do you have a smaller group? Or just don't want to rent the entire boat? Book our per seat boating option! Perfect for those smaller groups who still want to go out and celebrate that Birthday/Bachelorette or even just a night out! This option does have a requirement of of 6 guests to guarantee it will go out. But you only pay for as many seats as you want. This option is not guaranteed private, and it is very likely you will be paired with other people! (we offer private cruises that start with 8 ppl-18 ppl)

This public option is only available out of our Back Channel Brewing Location (LazyTap or TikiPubs) and downtown Excelsior on our original Pedal Pub Boat Cruise.

LazyTap Double Deck-Back Channel Brewing (18 person boat)

PaddleTap’s #1 boat tour! For the people who like to take it easy on the lake! Our LazyTap Party Boat ride has your name written all over it. This is our only double deck party boat that is massive! PaddleTap offers one boat for 2024. This boat can hold up to 18 guests!

Both boats offers two levels and covers at least 300 of deck space on the main level with an additional 100 square feet on the upper deck! This boat has zero pedals and is the true lazy experience that can hold up to 18 total guests!

These boats offer a private party bar down the middle for you to load up with your own drinks and bench seating all the way down on both sides.

We have a large wide open space in the front where people can move around and take in the views, or sit in our comfy seating all around.

This is our only boat that can allow swimming (on requests) but it still does only last 100 minutes. If you do choose to swim, we limit it to four people at one time and must wear a life jacket (provided). Swimming on our LazyTap is only allowed out of Back Channel. We do not allow it out of Downtown Excelsior.

The LazyTap has a large 150 HSP motor, we can cover a fair amount of lake to enjoy everything that Lake Minnetonka offers! Our pickups are out of Back Channel Brewing, Lord Fletchers, Downtown Excelsior or Wayzata. What to know:

RegularTap Paddle Pub-Downtown Excelsior

PaddleTap is proud to offer private tours on our only downtown Excelsior powered party boat! These one of a kind Pedal Pubs can be rented out on Excelsior Bay!

Our Paddle Pub "RegularTap" Party Boat, holds a maximum of 14 people! This is great for private cruises who want to depart out of the award winning downtown Excelsior which is only 20 minutes from Minneapolis!

Enjoy the newest boat rental on Lake Minnetonka. Departing daily out of downtown Excelsior. Walking distance from many local bars and restaurants. Enjoy the only eco friendly, battery operated Duffy boat rentals on Lake Minnetonka. Slowly cruise around Excelsior bay in style and enjoy the calm waters of the no wake areas of St. Albans and Excelsior Bay. This boat does not have a boat captain provided, and the renter is required to drive the boat. Don't worry about an agenda and drive at your own pace. Boat rentals are allowed for small groups and large groups. Large groups can hold up to 12 guests. As pricing is based off of the boat and if you want a small or large group rental. In Minnesota, the land of lakes, Minnetonka is arguably the most popular. In early 1900 Big Island on Minnetonka was home to the Big Island Amusement Park. Visitors would take the ferry cruise out to the island during the summer to enjoy an afternoon with the family or a romantic Friday night for couples. The amusement park was eventually demolished, and the island is now a municipal nature park. Lake Minnetonka now is home to being the #1 Party lake in Minnesota, and ranking in the top 10 on most nationwide lists!

Beautiful historic mansions surround Minnetonka, many owned by celebrities. The largest was the former Pillsbury mansion, a 32,000-square-foot home that was demolished, and the land was divided to sell in smaller parcels. What is the minimum amount of people i need to reserve a private cruise.

Yes! Our private tours are priced per person ranging from $39-$49/person. 10 tickets are required to book privately. You can book up to the boat maximum if you have a larger party. If you don't have 10 tickets we do offer a $55/person on our public cruise.

How Long Does Each Boat Tour Last?

All of our standard tours last 100 minutes long. We do have a 2.5 hour cruise set to departure for 2024. This tour will only depart out of our Back Channel Brewing location and take aboard our LazyTap or TikiTap boats with limited availability.

What is your cancelation policy? Do you allow deposits to reserve?

Our cancelation policy is simple. 30 days out you can cancel and get a full refund. 0-29 days all sales are final. If we end up having bad weather (unsafe boating conditions), we allow rain checks. This decision is typically made on the day of your cruise. We do offer Trip Insurance which can be purchased at the time of checkout. That allows refunds 14 days out from the cruise and must purchase it at the time of checkout.

We do not allow deposits for online reservations currently. If you are still waiting for the final count before booking, we recommend just booking the minimum amount of 10 people for the lowest cost. You can always add more people later!

Are the Paddle Pubs BYOB food and drinks?

Our Lake Minnetonka Downtown Excelsior is BYOB and so is our Back Channel Pickup, and coolers are allowed. If you want our staple Lord Fletcher’s pickup on Lake Minnetonka, you must first purchase drinks from them (off sale). Coolers will not be allowed at all at Lord Fletcher’s pickup. When you book a boat ride, a link will be emailed to you, so you can easily place your order from Lord Fletcher’s. You are always able to bring your own food and snacks as well.

Is There Music on the Paddle Pub and the other Party Boats?

Yes, each tour boat offers Bluetooth connection, so you can sync your smartphone and start listening to your favorite tunes the moment we head out onto the lake.

What happens if we get sick on the boat?

While most people are fine on the boat, one in awhile someone gets sick. If that is the case we have the right to charge your credit card $100-250 per incident depending on the amount of cleanup needed

Is Swimming Allowed?

We do not allow swimming on our classic pedal pub (PaddleTap Boat) tours or the TikiTap Tour. We do allow swimming on the Lazytap only. People who choose to swim must wear a life jacket (provided) and only 4 in the water at a time. This will only be available out of our Back Channel Location (Excelsior LazyTap doesn’t allow swimming)

Is Fishing Allowed on a Paddle Pub?

We don’t allow fishing on any of our boat tours. We leave that work up to the pros on Lake Minnetonka.

Are Bathrooms On Board Your Paddle Pub?

We do have a bathroom aboard our LazyTap, TikiTap and SuperTap booze cruises. The only boat without a bathroom is our RegularTap out of Downtown Excelsior. The duration of the LazyTap is 2 hours long, and the other boats are 100 minutes. However, our pedal-powered RegularTap out of Excelsior does not include a bathroom. But don’t worry, we have many friends on the lakes, so we can stop as needed, if you need a break.

Can we Tip the Boat Tour Guides?

Yes! If you enjoy your trip, your paddle captain will appreciate it! Most also have Venmo! You can also pre tip online when you reserve your tour.

3 of our boats (TikiTap and LazyTap boats) Can hold 18 guests. The RegularTap can hold 14 guests. You can reserve these boats as a Private Tour by purchasing 10 tickets or more. Pricing is flat per person ranging from $39-$49/person based on the time of the week.

Can You Accommodate Groups Bigger than 18?

Yes! We have multiple boats we can pair for large groups. We have had corporate events as large as 100 people before. Group sizes over 18 people isn’t an issue at all. Give us a call or email and we can help plan the details.

What Is The Minimum Amount of People to Book? Do You Have A Per Seat Option?

Our private tours require a minimum of 8 tickets to be purchased to reserve. We do offer small group/public cruises if you have less than 8 people. Private cruises during the week can get as low as $312/8 people on our Monday-Wednesday times. Most tours are $45/person on average.

If I book a private cruise now for only 10 guests, can I add more guests later onto my cruise?

Yes! You can always book a private cruise with less than 10. For us to reserve a private boat we require 10 tickets to be purchased. So book a private cruise and bring up to 10 guests! You can always add more people later

Lunch Cruise on Lake Minnetonka

my group of 44 all loved the lunch cruise. The food was great, esp. the cookie bar. THe captain and his staff were really good about making sure my passengers were treated well. The narration was very helpful

I was looking forward to a relaxing cruise after getting off work. There was no one to give us our boarding passes at the window so we had to wait outside the gate until someone came which wasn't until almost time for the boat to launch and we were pretty cold by then. We were assigned to the upper level of the boat which was fine except, our table was so close to the door that I had to keep my coat on while I ate, the trash can was right next to me so everyone kept dumping trash while I was eating. We had to go up and down the stairs which were outside to get food and drinks with no help from the staff at all. I didn't understand why there was not a buffet upstairs as well as downstairs. Trying to hold a heavy plate with food on it with a drink and trying to climb very small, steep stairs was not fun at all! The best highlight of the cruise was the lock and dam. Nothing else really to see.

Went on the Paradise Cruise because Minnesota Queen was booked for a private tour that day. Was disappointed as there was really nothing to see just a ride.

We were looking forward to this cruise on a sunny Sunday in August. Unfortunately, a good part of the trajectory is quite boring, and the narration practically non-existent. It is a pity!

We wanted a truly narrated sight seeing cruise of Lake Minnetonka and the gorgeous homes. I blame myself for not researching more. What we got was a pleasant cruise and nice ship, but I would not really call it a narrated cruise. We had young "Captain" Jack who gave--around four-- highlights like, "those homes can be rented out like on Airbnb and everyone on that island has water and everything." And "There is definitely a house behind those trees and no one even knows who owns that house." Script work would be good for this crew! The passenger at the next table gave us more fun house and lake facts than our Captains did and we were grateful to eavesdrop on her conversation. Captain Jack did handle the yacht well. He had a little trouble docking, but Captain Mike intervened, who clearly had experience and brought us in safely. This is great if you literally just want to ride on a yacht for 1.5 hours. If you want history or facts, this is not the venue.

Our family of 9 plus two babies went on the dinner cruise after a day at the zoo. We had a great time on the two hour cruise. The Tuesday cruise included the taco bar. The food and drinks were good. The bar included beer for $4-$5 and margaritas were $6. The cruise took us upstream to the dam and falls and then downstream a ways. Only thing we wished was for a better view of the city.

Public cruise schedule for the lady of the lake.

Lady of the Lake will run public cruises Tusday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, & Sunday: 12:30pm until 2:30pm

 public cruises:, labor day weekend: saturday august 31 – monday september 2 at 12:30pm, _____________________________________________________, tuesdays, thursdays, sundays 12:30-2:30pm.

Additional public cruises will be added,  please check back closer to the sailing season.

All Cruises Leave from our Docks in Downtown Excelsior

– boarding begins no later than 12:15pm for the 12:30 cruise and no later than 2:45pm for the 3:00 cruise., – cruises are 2 hours long ~ 12:30-2:30pm., – public cruises are offered every tuesday, thursday & sunday., – additional public cruises are added for holidays & special events, – all publics cruises have a live narration on our 2 lower decks and fantastic views from all 3 decks., – picnics are welcome onboard all we ask is an easy clean up & no alcohol, – full bar with sodas, coffee, and light snacks are available for purchase., – there are 2 restrooms on the deck where you board lady of the lake., – we highly recommend purchasing your tickets on-line to reserve your spot. walk-ups are welcome, but are not guaranteed.,   please see our calendar (upper right column) for exact times., boarding begins no later than 12:15pm for the 12:30 cruise and no later than 2:45pm for the 3:00 cruise when offered, gates close 5 minutes prior to departure, cruises depart promptly at departure time, check our calendar for available times., adults: $18.00 children 12 – 5: $9.00 4 and under: free,   snacks – sodas – full bar available ,            .
