For lunch we provide a traditional Mexican fajitas lunch that includes chicken, beef, rice, beans, tortillas and salsa. If anyone has any dietary restrictions, we can help with alternative options.

The Marietas Islands National Park strictly limits access and only 116 people per day are permitted to visit Hidden Beach.

Please review and confirm the following conditions before requesting to check for available spots.

– There is an extra fee of $1,700 MXN per person. This is payable cash only, in Mexican Pesos on the day of the tour. It must be cash because it is paid directly to the person securing the spots at the National Park. They any accept Mexican Pesos, no other currency will be accepted.

– No cancellations, once confirmed there is no way we can cancel.

– Guests must be older than 12 and younger than 59 years and be a good swimmer. (Please note the main Marietas Islands tour is open to All Ages and Abilities)

– The use of a helmet and a lifevest are mandatory.

– No pregnant woman.

– Not available on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Is hidden beach included with this tour.

No, it is not included in the tour price.

There is an extra fee that is payable in cash the day of the tour.

The main tour is open to all ages and abilities. If you choose to add the hidden beach option, please note there is an age restriction of 12 to 55 years. You must be able to swim 120 meters from the boat to Hidden Beach. The use of a helmet and a vest are mandatory.  Please let us know if you are interested in visiting Hidden Beach and we will try our best to secure access for you.

Is the Tour recommended for Families and Children?

Are there bathrooms on the boat?

Yes, the ChicaFUN 1 Waterslides is equipped with 4 bathrooms for your comfort.

How big is the boat? How many people fit?

ChicaFUN 1 Waterslides is a 65 foot Trimaran Yacht. Maximum capacity is 85 guests, but we only allow up to 65 guests on tours to ensure there is plenty of space and everyone is comfortable.

Located around an hour’s boat ride from Sayulita, our Hidden beach tour takes you to a magical secluded Hidden beach beneath the beautiful Marietas Islands. Access to the Marietas Islands Hidden beach is limited by the National Park , meaning no crowds and a real feeling of adventure as you explore this mysterious hidden cove. Go on a snorkel safari in the crystal clear waters, swim in the bay, relax in the shade, or hang out on the picturesque beach as the Pacific Ocean laps at your feet. The Marietas Islands Hidden beach is the ultimate island adventure!

REALLY IMPORTANT!

Recently, Beach of Love access has been limited by the National Park admin and the new regulation has the following guidelines: Only 116 people are allowed to visit Beach of Love per day. Beach of Love is closed to visitors on Mondays and Tuesdays. Trips are scheduled on Low Tide. Access times to Beach of Love during your visit can be changed at any time by National Park staff. Pregnant women are restricted from this tour for security reasons. Use of sunscreen is prohibited in the Hidden Beach. Due to the high demand on this service, cancellation is not possible once that is booked. People who suffer from heart disease, back or spine problems can't participate. Age restrictions: 10 years old min. To protect endemic birds, drones are prohibited in this tour for federal regulations.

Marietas Snorkeling Safari

The Islas Marietas National Park is an amazing hidden gem on the Narayit Peninsula. With great wildlife viewing opportunities, including Grey Whales during winter and Blue Footed Boobies year-round, this half-day adventure is a great option for all ages and fitness levels.

During the trip, guests will have time to disembark at a secluded beach and snorkel and swim in the blue and nature-filled waters. The magical Beach of Love is not included in this tour as visitor numbers are limited, however, we do operate a separate Beach of Love adventure.

Our Marietas Island Snorkel Safari trips are generally sold per boat, with a capacity of up to 7 guests.

Marietas Islands are closed to visitors on Mondays and Tuesday. This tour does not include access to the Beach of Love. Pregnant women are restricted from this tour for security reasons. Use of sunscreen is prohibited in the Hidden Beach. Due to the high demand on this service, cancellation is not possible once that is booked. Marietas Islands is considered to be one of the best snorkeling locations in the area.

A profuse biodiversity which counts 115 fish and 92 species of birds living in the area, Marietas Islands was granted the title of National Park not so long ago, thanks to the work of a group of biologists led by Jacques Cousteau, originally started in the 60’.

Now a recognized UNESCO site, the islands were originally a military training zone, used by the mexican army as a bomb testing location.

Cousteau and his fellow scientists were the first to recognize the abundant biodiversity of the islands, their remarkable flora and fauna down and above the water.

Here you can swim in clear waters, relax on pristine beaches, and snorkel in natural coves. Marietas Islands are definitely a must see during your vacation in the Nayarit Riviera.

What to Expect

Close and personal with the many wonders Marietas have to offer

An intimate way to get to know one of the most famous treasures of the riviera Nayarit. From the comfort of the boat, you will be able to observe a great variety of seabirds, the most famous among them the blue footed booby, also frigate birds and seagulls to mention a few. Around them, the ocean teems with marine life; a great variety of fish find food and shelter between these volcanic rooks, moorish idols, damselfish, as well as surgeonfish, angelfish and puffers. Following the guidelines of the park rangers in place, 2 beaches can be visited at the islands, the only 2 places where the tourists have actually access onland: Hidden Beach and Playa Nopalera.

While the Hidden Beach requires prior reservation you can freely visit playa Nopalera depending on ocean conditions.

During the winter months, whale watching will be added to the regular schedule of the excursion.

An intimate adventure for a close group of friends

A family friendly excursion, perfect for those who don’t like the big crowds, this boat trip will fit a limited number of guests. Meeting point will be the dive center in Sayulita from where round transportation to the boat in Punta de Mita is provided.

After 3 hours spent in the ocean the group will be driven back to Sayulita for lunch.

Lunch will happen at our local favorite in town; beer and tacos to wrap up a memorable day.

Saw whales a turtle and multiple kids of fish. Visibility was ok due to stronger current but still enjoyed and saw many different fish. We showed up at the new time and waited for 40 minutes before the employee came back with another couple. He had no idea what we were talking about as far as our new time slot went (not his fault). Two days before we got a message saying our start time was changed to 2pm. They never asked if the change was ok or provided an explanation. When I asked for one I was told it was too busy in the morning with boats from Puerto Vallarta. I am inquired again as to whether the 2pm snorkel would also be six hours and include a meal as the original tour did. I was confused as to how we could do a six hour tour at 2pm given that it gets dark at 630. I received no response so my husband and I tried calling (number said person was not available) and emailing through TripAdvisor. We finally decided to drive to the dive shop to ask. It was closed when we got there. There was a WhatsApp QR code on their sign but when we scanned it it said it wasn’t active. I finally found an email address for the company and emailed them. They responded saying our tour was cancelled due to ocean conditions. That was two hours before it was supposed to start. Had I not emailed I doubt they would have informed us. No one responded and the day of they said they couldn’t and refused a refund. I was only charged 2 days before and had they responded to any of my attempts, we would have found someone else.
