Every time I pass by the shop in the…

Every time I pass by the shop in the Wellington Green Mall ( Florida) , I see the staff putting their dirty shoes on the bench and chatting with each other 😡. We sit in those chairs ( benches ) . Also They need keep the music in the background and allow shoppers to think about their purchases. Uptempo or fast-paced music encourages quicker shopping and fewer purchases!!

Delivered to the wrong address

My $100 shoes were delivered to the wrong house, the picture taken proves that but Journeys would not reimburse me and told me I have to contact Fed Ex. I filed a claim with Fed Ex and am waiting for their investigation to conclude. Journeys has horrible customer service! They should replace my shoes or reimburse me and then file a claim with Fed Ex themselves!!!! I will never buy from Journeys again!

I should have looked at reviews of…

I should have looked at reviews of Journey's before I ordered something from them. The whole process has been problematic from the get-go. I placed the order for a pair of Vans and received a confirmation email telling me it will ship soon. I hear nothing for ten days, so I call and they tell me that its just sitting in a store in Charlotte, NC. Finally, after 3 weeks, I get the shoes... they are too big. So I initiate return. They tell me they will charge $8 to return them, and it will likely be 4 weeks before I get a replacement pair. Its safe to say I will NOT be ordering from Journey's ever again.

Worst customer service ever

Bought vans shoes for our 10 year old. He wore them 2 days. Soles are literally ripping off the shoe. Journeys says this is 'normal wear and tear', and they cannot exchange them. He wore them for 2 days! Shameless profiteering at this store, no regard for their own customers. I am embarrassed that I ever thought to shop there.

Not reliable

They canceled my order and did not even send me an email. So I had to reach out to them asking where my order was. They said it was canceled due to being "out of stock" but it is available in all their stores nearby, so it was definitely possible to complete my order if they had any level of customer service. All they had to say was "We really do apologize for this matter".

The customer service is terrible

I did a refund for some shoes I bought & my refund amount was LESS than my actual order. I contacted customer service 3 times just for them to tell me there was nothing they can do. Customer service agents don't even know what they're talking about either. One agent told me they don't refund tax & another said they do refund tax but they don't refund shipping; however, I calculated the numbers and the numbers do not match. Although it's a little difference, it's the principle. They steal from their customers so don't ever shop here

Order kids floral vans

Order kids floral vans, received a pair of new balance shoes. Contacted Journey and they were of no help asking me to return the shoes first before fixing the error. They dinally offer to set up fed-ex pick up to my surprise they are going to charge me to return the iteam they sent by accident . Total dissapointment, they dont offer any type of solution even after i stated i work 2 jobs.

I had a wonderful experience at Journeys located at the Eastland Mall in Gastonia, NC. The store manager, Meadow James was very helpful in assisting me exchanging Uggs short boot and ordering the Ugg Tall boot in black. She was attentive and very courteous. I will do repeat business with Journeys for myself and my family shoes needs.

Worst ever online shopping experience

This is the worst ever online shopping experience I had. I would rate negative stars if I could. I don’t even know how this shoe company still exists! Defective shoes and unbelievably cumbersome return/refund process. The sole purpose of having a customer service team is to create problems for customers. I spent $20 to ship the defective shoes back and they insisted not receiving them. Do not waste your time and money on this store!

Cancelled order with no notification

Ordered a pair of shoes. Was sent the wrong pair. I had to return to store. They ordered the correct pair again, only to have my order cancelled 2 weeks later and now I have to wait 2-4 weeks for a refund check. They’ll have had my money for almost 2 months.

These people are careless…

These people are ridiculously careless when it comes to customer service. I ordered an item and accidentally chose the wrong shipping address and emailed them within 2 minutes of placing the order to change it. Over the next 2 days I sent 3 seperate emails about the issue and they still managed to send it to the wrong address. Now I will never get my item and have lost my money as well. Great job Journeys, take a hint and get better staff.

I’m not a person to write reviews however I ordered a pair of shoes and a shirt from Journeys Ca. Shortly after Journeys sent me an email stating “ We're sorry to inform you that your payment for your Journeys order xxxxxxxxxxx was declined. To provide a new payment method, please call us at (855) 211-2349”. Please note the money for the order was taken out of my account including an additional $22. I replied to the email— no response. I called the number provided— representative wasn’t the greatest. They had also told me that I would receive a cancellation email. I have yet a reply from Journeys and a cancellation or confirmation email. I have never had any problems with Journeys Ca until now and I feel as if I was scammed from Journeys Ca as I got no response or my money back. I don’t recommend ordering from their site. Use an alternative such as Boathouse.

1 star because it shippped. Wouldn’t be surprise if this company had a several pending lawsuits for unethical business practices..this company needs to be boycotted and shut down for this many negative reviews. I wish I read these reviews first before spending my hard earned money.. if you can avoid purchasing from here, please do unless you want endless problems..I’m personally telling everybody I know to never shop here for anything no matter what..shut them down. how could a company continue to run like this unless it has absolutely no care for it customers. My story is they pulled this “double charge” method like they’re seem to be gettin away with everybody. Journeys thinks it’s fair practice to (hold) money you have for a purchase in your bank account. they claim they want to make sure we have the funds in our bank, however they come back and charge again( the same amount as the initial charge) once your item ships..how about if we have the funds take it then and if we don’t have it deny the purchase just like everybody else. Don’t see the science behind that besides them wanting it to appear to be bringing in more money than they actually are to their shareholders. Double charging everybody will definately make it seem like thier business is doing better than they actually are. These reviews seem to share the real story of journeys and how they operate. Surprisingly for me the shipping was smooth. I got the item in a timely manner but it’s been over a week since my initial charge was taken and they’re still holding it. Also blaming it on Apple Pay when Apple Pay has a direct deposite system where there is no wait once the money is released. Customer service was called several times was no help at all. Unexcepable.

Terrible Customers Service

Entire purchasing process was terrible. Charged twice for shoes and they claim 7-10 business days to return. Why would you charge me once the shoes are delivered if you already charged me when I placed my order? Customer service unknowledgeable and overall unhelpful. Will not be purchasing from them againand will be telling everyone I know to do the same

Absolutely horrible customer service…

Absolutely horrible customer service it’s been three weeks since I ordered from there still haven’t received my order. They just tell me to deal with the shipper. FedEx tells me the contact the seller. This is so annoying I will not recommend them or will order there again myself! By the time your order arrives seasons have changed and it’s no longer needed 😅

Springfield mo store

Springfield mo store, kendall is the girl working, I paid for a pair of vans they upped charged me, I turned around and went back and told him the sticker on the shoe was a different price. She told me she could not do that, and she would not give me what the shoe price was so they gave me a refund, she got super hateful. I asked her name she told me Kendal and then she said do you want me to spell it for you? Manager was standing right there and never said a word to her. I told the manager I’d go above her and she refunded me and then turned around and told me she’d sell me the shoe for the correct price customer service in there was absolutely pathetic that Kendal girl stood there and argued with me as a customer, right in front of her manager…

Purchased $400 in shoes and $70 back pack NO points earned

Purchased $400 in shoes plus a $70 back pack on a different day. Associate took name and phone number and email address on 7/23. Told me about points earnings, received email about items that was part of my purchase (store did not have one pair in my size in stock and shipped directly to me). Shopped in different store the next week and got a back pack for $70, associate pulled my account up with my email address. Went to website two weeks later to check points, NO points. Called toll free number, was told I have to claim points within 7 days online. What other store does this bait and switch? More importantly, why collect this information at the counter AND start emailing me if I am not earning points from the purchase date? AND Journeys is texting me as well. Nope. Taking $470 worth of products back.

Very satisfied

Positive experience. I bought my pair of boots online on a Monday morning, to have the UPS guy knocking at my door on Tuesday at 830am with my purchase in hands. Quick and everything came perfectly: right size, right colour, just as you would expect. I also contacted their costumer service on their page to check for my tracking number, and the service was quick and efficient as well.

Horrible! Ordered a pair of high top leather Converse 3/12/23. After about 2 days got the order and tracking number. The website says delivers in 3-5 business days. Here we are 3/25/23, several emails and calls later. Supposedly a lost order form was made from FedEx…lies. I don’t think they ever had the shoe in stock! Now I have to wait 9-12 business days for them to rectify this issue! Customer service is worthless. And why I’m I waiting this long to be reimbursed when it took Journeys 9-12 seconds to remove the money from my account?!? I will never shop online or in store with Journeys again!

REFUSES TO RIGHT A WRONG DONE BY THEM

This HORRIBLE tri County store REFUSED to replace a wrong shoe that their more than ignorant worker chose. I needed 8 in woman's for MY DAUGHTER who now doesn't have her CHRISTMAS shoes, why? Because Journeys employee gave me 1 size 8 in women's and 1 size 8 in men's, then REFUSED to fix it unless, get this, I PAY AN ADDITIONAL $5 ... For what? Oh because the price went up JUST TODAY smfh. I ALREADY OWNED THE DAM SHOES WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO PAY AGAIN????? And when I called Customer Service who assured me a Supervisor would call me back within 15 minutes has now not reached out and it's been 2 hrs. THANK YOU for taking a Christmas Gift from a child because you hire incompetent workers.... Be PROUD of yourselves....

“Great Customer Service”

Ella Dunn, Employee #643199, greeted me with such enthusiasm it made my day, that was nice. There is an UGG hoodie sweater that I LOVE! Hanging on the wall! I don't think you understand, I have the same hoodie that I purchased prior to falling ill with COVID-19, several years ago & unable to work. An UGG hoodie was not a priorty BUT did I mention I LOVE the UGG hoodie sweater. Currently, there are only certain type of material that does not hurt my skin. I can be in this hoodie 24/7.LOL Prior to me having to think if I could/should purchase this expensive wonderful hoodie because it's SO EXPENSIVE but worth it, LIKE $100 EXPENSIVE but it's on sale! But It's not my size, it's too small Ella went to her computer to see if she could order it online. No luck! She could have left it there. Instead, Ella went above and beyond by looking to see which other stores had that hoodie in my size. Ella found my size, Ella reached out to the store and asked if it would be possible to have that item transferred to her store for a customer to purchase. They said YES! 😊 I am SOOOOOOO HAPPY! THANK YOU ELLA!

“Terrible customer service!”

I ordered online 2 pair of shoes and made payments through Klarna! Because the shoes was delivered but not to the correct home, they didn't want reimburse me my money or resend the shoes! Do not trust Journeys! Go personally to the store and buy the product! Don't do online purchases! The house they delivered was green and my house is blue! I paid them so it's not about the money! But I guess Journeys needs it more than me!

I ordered a pair of sneakers which was shipped by fed ex and when they delivered it was thrown in my driveway for easy access to be taken. So yes it was stolen. I called journeys and they said they are nit responsible for this. Maybe they should be and provide another carrier that would do a better job placing package by the door. So journeys don't refund or ask if you would like the same order instead. Now they lost a future customer. That's how much they care.

I ordered my cute, adorable RED New balance tennies on Tuesday, May 2,2017, and I received updates from the time I placed the order informing me of what was happening with my order. Yesterday, Thursday, May 4,2017, I received an email from Journey's letting me know my shoes had shipped and they'd be here by today - Friday, May 5,2017, but I thought, "NO WAY!" But, WAY! I have them on my feet right now and I love them!

I was pleased with ordering from Journeys. I've been to the store and only purchased socks from them. I never order shoes online since I wear a half size and can never seem to find shoes that fit just right. Well, the website is pretty easy to maneuver and I ended up getting 4 pairs of converse, sperry's & polo for less than $200. To me that was a steal! And two pairs came straight from the store. I was always updated with confirmation and when my items were shipped. Only issue I had was I got two pairs in the mail first and it had someone else's invoice inside of it. I waited until the second couple pairs came in but they just had mine on the outside. Even said it was handpicked by an employee. & one coupon for each pair of shoes! After the order I have received tons of emails from Journeys since then. I had to throw it in my spam folder. It took the average amount of days 5-7. And the shoes fit myself & my husband perfectly. I'd order from them again.

There are a few different options in this case. 1) For the quickest option, the store can help you return the wrong size and place a Special Order for the correct size, which can either be shipped to your home or the store's address for pick up within 4 - 7 business days. 2) Alternatively, you may reorder the correct size via our website and then return the current order in the original manufacturer box to the store with your confirmation email. 3) Another option would be to request a prepaid FedEx label through our website with the following link (for web orders only) to exchange through our warehouse for the correct size. However, all warehouse returns and exchanges by mail can take 2 - 4 weeks to process from the date we receive the return package. We wore Hoka’s Clifton 9 on a 600-mile journey. Here’s our review.

Our writer wore these shoes while walking the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage in Spain—and while training for a marathon.

The Hoka Clifton 9, the newest from the company’s Clifton line, has an increased stack height (the amount of material between your foot and the ground) and is lighter than the previous version.  

After wearing them for three months while walking the Camino de Santiago in Spain and training for a marathon, what stood out to me was the support that the Clifton 9 offers. It’s a solid choice for running and walking, and comes in wide sizes for people who need a bit more room.

Who’s Hoka Clifton 9 best for?

The Hoka Clifton 9 is best for runners looking for a neutral daily trainer, running shoes designed for those with a neutral pronation pattern, where the foot only slightly rolls inward.  

They’re also great for covering long distances at a slow pace and for building mileage while training for a longer run or race. The Clifton 9’s plush support offers all-day relief for people who walk a good amount or are on their feet for long periods of time.  

Hoka Clifton 9 features we love

Compression molded EVA foam midsole

The compression molded EVA foam (CMEVA) is what gives the Clifton 9 the plushness it’s known for without adding weight. Because the foam is so light, Hoka was able to add three more millimeters to the midsole, compared to the Clifton 8.  

The extra cushion and lightweight feel were noticeable during slower training runs when my heart rate stayed in “Zone 2,” roughly 60-70 percent of maximum heart rate, considered an easy pace.  

The Clifton 9 is lighter than other similarly priced running shoes, such as the Brooks Ghost 15, and offered so much support and relief from standing that I found myself reaching for them on days when I wasn’t running.  

Durabrasion rubber outsole

The soles of the Hoka Clifton 9 shoes

The durabrasion rubber outsole is a new feature on the Clifton 9. It’s designed to protect the sole and exposed foam against abrasions on the road. Durability was a complaint raised with the Clifton 8, so I was curious to see how the Clifton 9 soles would hold up on a nearly 600-mile journey across Spain—a distance that’s a bit longer than the maximum average lifespan of a running shoe.  

In my testing for this Hoka Clifton 9 review, I found the traction to be reliable across weather and road conditions. By the end of the trip, I was pleasantly surprised at the state of the soles. After a month of intensive walking, parts of the outsole were intact, with the heel and the outer corners taking the brunt of the wear.  

Early stage meta rocker

Hoka was an early adopter of the rocker design—a curved sole meant to mimic natural foot and ankle movement. The rocker (referencing a rocking chair) is designed to help reduce the effort required to take a step by “rocking” the foot into the next stride. These types of shoes can be especially beneficial for those who have plantar fasciitis or a heel strike, when the heel hits the pavement first with each step.  

The Clifton 9 has an early-stage meta-rocker, meaning the curvature starts at the middle of the foot. As someone with a heel strike and plantar fasciitis, I enjoyed the ease that the Clifton 9’s rocker design gave my walks and slow runs. The early-stage rocker design wasn’t so aggressive that I couldn’t walk in the shoes, but it added pep and a gentle assist while running.  

Flared heel tab & tongue gusset

The Clifton 9 features a flared heel tab located away from the Achilles tendon, an area that’s often a hotspot for me when it comes to other shoes. It may not seem significant, but the single-sided tongue gusset prevents bits of gravel from slipping in, which I appreciated the more I wore the Clifton 9.  

The gusset is located on one side, allowing you to maneuver the tongue around easily when pulling the shoes on. It also kept the tongue in place, which has been an issue with other shoes. While these two features wouldn’t make a big impact for running or walking shorter distances, they were crucial for comfort during marathon training and my walk across Spain.

Hoka Clifton 9 price

The Hoka Clifton 9 is listed at $145 across retailers—more expensive than its predecessor the Clifton 8. Compared to similar daily running shoes, the Clifton 9 costs slightly more. But overall, it’s considered a mid-range option that provides great value for its advanced cushioning, upper comfort, and light weight.

How we tested

I tested the Clifton 9 over a month while walking the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage in Spain. Each day I walked between roughly 15 and 21 miles. Over the course of about 600 miles, I walked on varying surfaces, including cobblestone, gravel, and dirt.

  By the end of the pilgrimage, the heel tab was beginning to fray, and the outsoles showed some wear. They were not as supportive or cloud-like as they were before the journey, but they were still comfortable on short walks.

In addition to walking, I tested the Clifton 9 while training for a marathon. They were my primary training shoes during short speed runs and long slow runs. I found the shoe to be a bit clunky for faster sprints, but the support was heavenly for slow jogs lasting over an hour.  

I also packed the Clifton 9 as my main travel shoe over the course of three months, taking it with me on walks and hikes through multiple countries and terrains.  

Final thoughts

The Hoka Clifton 9 is a versatile shoe that can be used as a daily trainer for long, slow runs as well as a supportive walking shoe for those who are on their feet for long periods of time. It also earned the American Podiatric Medical Association Seal of Acceptance , an award that recognizes products that promote good foot health.  

For what it offers, the Clifton 9 is slightly more expensive than its competitors, but multipurpose uses make it a great choice for those looking for a reliable and supportive shoe that feels like walking on clouds.

Prior to the film’s release, Guruprasad often proclaimed himself as a frustrated viewer. This approach seemed to have raised expectations and left some viewers wanting more from Ranganayaka . Guruprasad steps into the limelight, portraying himself as a director under the scrutiny of a TV show chasing high ratings. In parallel, another narrative unfolds, where Jaggesh takes the center stage as a prince-in-training, alongside his beloved (Rachitha Mahalakshmi). From the opening sequences to the intermission, it seems Guruprasad has dominated the first half more than Jaggesh. Venting his personal frustrations, anger, and critics, the director channels his emotions onto the screen, albeit somewhat chaotically. Plunged into hypnosis, director Guruprasad journeys into his past life, unveiling connections stretching back a century, when he ventured into filmmaking in 1911. Here, Ranganayaka (Jaggesh) emerges as the hero in this tale. In between, the film delves into the critic faced by Kannada cinema, interwoven with Guruprasad’s focus on the embellishments of this story.

The director here has attempted to construct a narrative solely through conversations and dialogues, poured in merely for the sake of it. At times, Guruprasad even inserts the names of a few Kannada heroines, which seems unnecessary and irrelevant to the narrative.

Jaggesh’s attempt to salvage the film with his performance is hindered by outdated mannerisms and dialogue. Without a strong storyline, the film lacks substance, making it challenging to appeal to the audience. In the initial half, Jaggesh’s role as Ranganayaka feels confined to a couple of songs and scenes, and viewers are initially drawn in by the actor’s comic timing and expressions, the latter half sees a more solid grounding of the narrative. Rachita Mahalakshmi’s role primarily revolves around romantic duets, leaving her with little else to do. On the other hand, supporting actors Chaithra Kotoor, Shatamarshan Avinash, Shobha Raghavendra, and Yogaraj Bhat as psychologist, among others are given broader scopes.

Guruprasad’s storytelling is complemented by Anoop Seelin’s background score, providing an enjoyable backdrop. Songs like ' Gaali Tangali ..' and ' Enna Manadarasi..' provide a delightful retro touch, enhancing the overall experience. However, Guruprasad’s tendency to overload the screen with unnecessary elements for a small subject may frustrate and disappoint both the character Ranganayaka and the viewer.

While Ranganayaka may not soar as high as its predecessors, it still delivers enough entertainment for viewers to relish, albeit tinged with a hint of disappointment.
