L.P. is an American pop/rock artist from New York City who is also a songwriter. Singer L.P. was born Laura Pergolizzi and has had a wide ranging musical career signing with various labels throughout her career such as Island Def Jam Music Group and SoBe Entertainment.
In her early days she was first featured on songs with the band Cracker when David Lowery spotted her talent in 1998 and put her on some of the bands hidden tracks. Her powerful voice has a haunting vibrato with a beautiful eerie quality that peaks equally in all her wide ranging tones. L.P. has gained a reputation for her bellowing vocal cords that stay strong in even the highest notes.
There are few artists to compare her unique sound too and she knows how to capture an audience in a way that few can. Her casual style and small stature can be deceiving but those who have seen her live know not to be mislead.
She comes bringing the thunder right out of the gate and from the first moment she steps on stage you will find yourself hypnotized in the silky river of her melodious voice.

I discovered LP in October 2018 and instantly became a huge fan... I was ecstatic to learn she was coming to Houston and I bought 2 tickets (for me and my husband) to, what ended up being, a SOLD OUT show last night!
All I can say is she performed like a SUPERSTAR!!! She did most of the songs on her new album that was just released, and they all sounded like hits!! The venue wasnât very big, but the energy was amazing and everyone there sang along to every song. I honestly left feeling that is was a privilege to hear such a talented artist perform - I donât understand why she isnât more well known. She writes all of her songs and plays the guitar, ukulele, harmonica, and, oh the whistling!!! She wasnât a big talker, but had loads of energy on the stage and enteracted with the audience brilliantly!
Well the opening act was OK for the 1st song but then everything sounded the same and it became a very long hour. After that it seemed that the stage crew had not done any work before the show because it took almost 40 Min to get the stage ready. When LP finally came out I was not in my most upbeat of moods but before the first song had finished she had not only changed my mood but made me feel privileged to be there. The concert was VERY GOOD, she sounded amazing and her band was on cue every step of the way. It appeared that the audience was miked and some of the screams / shouts amplified back, those decibels were a bit high and unnecessary as the crown was very receptive to a great performance. I've been bragging to people about the concert and look forward to our next LP concert.
There are no words, no picture, or no video that can depict the awesomeness of this woman! I felt like I transcended into a whole new level of existence, and will be forever changed by by the magnitude of her presence and her voice. I am still reeling, and unable to focus on anything else! She is a lyrical genius whose music is poetry in action.
Also, I am so glad to have met so many wonderful people on her show in Fort Lauderdale. I thoroughly enjoyed hanging out and sharing the anticipation with other LP fans! It was a beautiful night...and an experience of a lifetime..
We saw LP at U Street Music Hall in DC on May 28, 2017. LP was one of those rare performers who is not only a virtuoso at her craft (amazing vocals), but also had charisma. She wasn't ultra-talkative, but she still connected with the audience, and everyone had a fantastic time. It was a really impressive performance that went on and on, in a good way. There was a lot of singing along and dancing in the audience. I think of LP as a relatively new artist, but she apparently has plenty of songs in her playbook. She was on stage for at least an hour, and we skipped the encore.
So we are on the other side of the globe and havent had the privilege to see LP live. I've just started tracking her in the hope that one day in the near future ill be notified of an Australian Tour. I run an LP Australia page both on Facebook and Instagram so any Aussies out there that would love to see this amazing artist perform down under, come and like the page. Lets build this under acknowledged artist the fame she deserves
Me and my syster loved the way LP sings and interact with the spectators. Her voice is so special and strong. We really felt her sensibility, with a very strong drive. Love the women. I did not really new her (my sister invited me), except for the hit "Lost on You". Her songs are about love, faith, and I guess resilience. The MTELUS was packed with a "beautiful" montrealers croud on that 28th of february. A night to remember.
LP is an incredible live performer, I'm in love all over again! The visuals were gorgeous for the smallish stage and her voice was so powerful and beautiful. You can tell she puts so much energy into each song. The opening act Korey Dane was funny and played some great songs, I'm a fan now! I'll definitely be going to see LP the next time she tours :)
LP is definitely one of the most gifted, talented, entertaining, gracious and audience-engaging artists I've ever had the pleasure to see live - a thoroughly mesmerizing show. Her vocal ability is almost supernatural, and she whistles like Andrew Bird and catches like Buster Posey. Looking forward to seeing her again, soon and as much as possible!

LP: O2 Apollo, Manchester – live photo review
LP O2 Apollo, Manchester 8th June 2022
American singer-songwriter LP chose Manchester for the first date of the UK leg of her headlining European tour. It’s been three years since she performed at a packed O2 Ritz. The shows are in support of her latest release Churches, her sixth studio album. Louder Than War Photographer Melanie Smith was there to take photos.
Laura Pergolizzi’s AKA LP pop-rock shows are often described as an emotional rollercoaster, she has adoring fans all over the world, yet in some respects isn’t that well known to the masses, despite being a renowned songwriter for various big artists such as Cher, Christina Aguilera, Rihanna. LP is known for her unusual voice, powerful, soprano like vocals, whistling and passionate songwriting. Primarily she is known for her single Lost on You released in 2015, it boasted 1 billion streams and went to the No 1 in 15 countries around Europe.
LP appears centre stage a petite, enigmatic figure amidst a blaze of backlights, wearing a stetson hat and simple dark clothing, to a roar of approval from the crowd. She opens up with When We Touch, a sentimental track from her album Churches. They simply just adore her and she gets close to the edge of the stage and smiles back, she is clearly enjoying being back on tour again. She connects immediately and it’s such a nice vibe and a pleasure to witness such a talented artist. Good to see you back in the UK and they certainly go wild for LP.

Yet her best work can be found in her career as a solo artist â expect to hear plenty of her hits alongside new material when she arrives on UK shores in January.

Taking Back Sunday 2024 UK headlining tour dates are:Â
MARCH 26 – Manchester, O2 Ritz 27 – London, O2 Forum Kentish Town 28 – Cardiff, University Great Hall
Speaking about the UK gigs in a press release, the band said: âWe are very excited to head back to the UK. Itâs still amazing to us that we can travel that far away from home and feel the same way we do playing a show close by. Folks over there have been so supportive and welcoming and weâre excited to debut some of the new stuff live along with the old favourites. Plus thereâs Nandoâs so itâs a win-win.â
In an interview with NME discussing their latest album ‘152’, Taking Back Sunday’s frontman Adam Lazzara said:âGoing into the record, we put a lot of pressure on ourselves to make sure everything was miles away from anything weâd done before.â
Recommended
âWhen youâve been doing this for as long as we have, thereâs a danger itâll get to a point where nobody cares that youâre putting out new music,â added lead guitarist John Nolan. âThe only way to really avoid that is to make an album so good that it gets people excited and demands their attention.â
In other news, Taking Back Sunday recently surprised a pair of longtime fans by crashing their wedding .
The band up turned up at the coupleâs ceremony in Trout Lake in Stroudsburg on the same day they released their new album â152â on Friday, October 27.
The couple’s maid of honour arranged the surprise which saw the band perform âI Am The Only One Who Knows Youâ and âThe Oneâ from their new record. They also presented the couple with flowers and a copy of their new album.

Suede announce new UK tour dates for 2023
Their ninth studio album is out this friday (september 16).
By Joe Goggins
Suede have announced a new run of UK tour dates as they gear up to release their ninth LP on Friday (September 16).
The extensive run spans most of next March, as the Britpop stalwarts take their latest full-length, Autofiction , on the road. Kicking off on March 3 in Bath, the tour will go on to take in shows in Norwich, Guildford, Cambridge, Manchester, Nottingham, Sheffield, Aberdeen, Glasgow, York, Newcastle, Liverpool, Brighton, Birmingham, Cardiff and Southampton, before wrapping up on March 25 with a hometown show at Brixton Academy in London, 30 years on from their debut appearance at the venue.
News of the 17-date jaunt comes as Suede played two secret shows last week, at Moth Club in London and the Deaf Institute in Manchester, under the pseudonym Crushed Kid. Per a review of their show in the capital in The Guardian , the five-piece ran through Autofiction in its entirety; the album, the group’s first since 2018’s The Blue Hour , is out this Friday (September 16), and has been trailed by singles ‘That Boy on the Stage’ and ‘15 Again’, as well as the companion piece Autofiction: A Short Film , directed by Katie Lambert.
Suede are thrilled to announce they will be touring the UK in 2023 to play songs from upcoming album AUTOFICTION as well as hits from their dazzling back catalogue. General sale will be at 9am on Friday 16th September. Set your reminders: https://t.co/kiSA1fn68y pic.twitter.com/lgjBl2p5DT — Suede HQ (@suedeHQ) September 12, 2022
“ Autofiction is our punk record,” frontman Brett Anderson has said. “No whistles and bells. Just the five of us in a room with all the glitches and fuck-ups revealed; the band themselves exposed in all their primal mess.”
After a slew of instore performances and signings at record shops across the country this month, Suede will go on to play a short run of intimate European dates in October, including a pair of London shows at Camden’s Electric Ballroom – those gigs are sold out.
Tickets for the March tour go on sale at 9am on Friday (September 16), with a presale available from tomorrow (September 14) for anybody who pre-orders the album from the band’s online store.

Legendary rock band The Who have announced a UK tour which will see the band performing with a full orchestra each night with shows from 6th to 23rd July in Hull, Edinburgh, London, Derby, Badminton, Durham, St Helens and Brighton. Joining them will be UB40 featuring Ali Campbell across all regional shows except for The O2 London and Edinburgh Castle dates.
Pete Townshend , Roger Daltrey and band will be performing music from throughout the bandâs nearly 60-year career, including sections devoted to classic albums Tommy and Quadrophenia as well as other beloved Who tracks and songs from their 2019 WHO album, their first studio release in 13 years.
The 2023 UK shows include Edinburgh Castle, the bandâs first show in the Scottish capital in over 40 years as well as shows in Derby, their first since 1966, The O2 London, Durham and Brighton Cricket grounds. The gigs follow last yearâs highly acclaimed The Who Hits Back! tour of the US, where the band shared the with some of the finest orchestras in America.
The 2023 UK tour will feature The Who âs full live band comprised of guitarist/backup singer Simon Townshend , keyboardist Loren Gold , second keyboardist Emily Marshall , bassist Jon Butto n, drummer Zak Starkey and backing vocals by Billy Nicholls , along with orchestra conductor Keith Levenson , lead violinist Katie Jacoby and lead cellist Audrey Snyder .
The Who wound up their The Who Hits Back! tour of the US in November last year having wowed audiences in over thirty cities, with media and fans agreeing that the band were as good as, if not better than ever and that the orchestral arrangements, most of which were done by the legendary David Campbell , brought a new depth and excitement to Pete Townshendâs music.
Performing with The Who and an orchestra had been a long-held ambition for singer Roger Daltrey âHaving not toured the UK for six years, it’s great that at this time of our careers we have the chance to go to places that are not on the usual touring map Edinburgh Castle and Derby, as well as the other cities across the country that we havenât been to for decades, will make this very special for me. This opportunity will give our UK Who fans the chance to hear our current show, which, with the addition of an orchestra, takes our music to new heights.â
Pete Townshend âRoger initially christened this tour with an orchestra Moving On! I love it. It is what both of us want to do. Move on, with new music, classic Who music, all performed in new and exciting ways. Taking risks, nothing to lose. Iâm really looking forward to bringing this show to the UK.”
The Who are calling upon fans to add an optional ÂŁ1 donation onto their ticket price at point of sale in support of Teenage Cancer Trust . Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey are longstanding supporters and Roger has been the driving force behind Teenage Cancer Trustâs Royal Albert Hall concerts since they began in 2000. In July 2019, The Who headlined Wembley Stadium in London for the first time in forty years. The show was the only UK date on their Moving On! Tour and featured the band accompanied by an over 50-piece orchestra performing classic tracks and more as well tracks from their WHO album. The Who With Orchestra Live At Wembley will be released as a limited edition yellow, orange and red 3-LP set, triple black vinyl, 2-CD / Blu-Ray set which features the audio remixed in Dolby Atmos/5.1 mixes and a 1-CD edition.

Will there be an Irish date? Had tickets for Dublin in March 2020 and been looking forward to it being rescheduled since.
The 2020 tour was cancelled and tickets were refunded.
How much will Hull tickets be?
You stated the cut-off to join the fan club to be eligible for early pre-sale tickets is midnight GMT 31st January. Can you clarify if this means the end of Monday (i.e 11:59pm on Monday 30th January) or end of Tuesday (i.e.11:59pm on Tuesday 31st January) Thanks
11.59pm Tuesday 31 January.
Are there any plans to come to Ireland?
Will there be an Irish date? Been looking forward to the cancelled March 2020 Dublin show ever since.
The Who are my all-time favorite band… Townshend, Daltrey, Ox and Moon are unequaled… Bring on another chapter!
The best rock+ orchestra published concert to date I feel is Collective Soul + Atlanta Youth… Daltrey Plays Townshend a close second… c’mon boys blow ’em out of the proverbial water! đ
I have two tickets for Edinburgh 8th, so looking forward to being in an iconic venue as in Edinburgh Castle and with an iconic band, but my wife needs to know why UB40 especially Ali Campbell are missing from the Edinburgh Gigs ? Please help sheâs threatening to not go Lol.
Great news on the forthcoming tour and new album release. Had tickets for the original Birmingham Show but alas not rescheduled Might there be a midlands show announced?
I read that if I join the fan club this month that I would be entered into a lottery.
If I win, Roger and Pete will come over to my house and perform deep cuts from “Face Dances” and “Endless Wire” in the garden.
If that’s true, I would indeed like to sign up. Please tell me whether the rumour is accurate.
Have you any plans to play in Ireland.
No current plans for appearing in Ireland on this tour.
Who (no pun intended) is the support at the o2 and how long roughly will the gig last?
Any concert dates for the U.S. Tour? The Who is on my Bucket list đ
Can’t find the link for my Derby tickets 2023… Help

Dick Rabel was our front of house soundman, the guy that makes the gig sound great. Dick loved working with us, and us him. Six Reasons Why Going To Gigs Alone Is The Best
So you want to go see that metalcore band you love but none of your friends like that âshoutyâ music? Or you REALLY want to go check out that new artist on TikTok you discovered but all your mates wonât go to a gig where they only know one song? Or worse, your group of friends cannot get themselves organized and work out which show and when to go on a tour, so youâre worried youâll miss out on tickets. Let them be miserable and start living your best life by going to concerts by yourself. Trust us, itâll be the best thing youâll ever do!
Going to gigs alone can be daunting. What am I going to do with myself in between sets? Are people going to think Iâm weird? Why would I not want to share the experience?
Listen, we are all for sharing the experience, but sometimes itâs either missing out or going alone, and in those cases we definitely recommend going alone. Hereâs a few reasons why youâll never regret it once you build up the courage to go through with it.
1 . See artists you really REALLY want to see
Imagine the FOMO of missing your favourite band on their new tour, hearing all those new songs live, seeing everyone post about it. Donât let that happen, and get that ticket. Plus you then get to tell the pals who didnât want to come how you saw that band or artist before they blew up or how they played that one B-side track that everyone loves â now who has FOMO?
2. Meet new friends
Itâs no secret that music brings people together. That moment when everyoneâs favourite ballad hits and thereâs not a dry eye in the building, you turn to your left or right and suddenly you bond with a stranger over your favourite song. For the metalheads, we also recommend mosh pits, follow the rules of the pit but what a way to make new friends!
3. The freedom
Now hear us out â but going to a gig alone means you can get to the venue when you want, you can go to the loos when you want, you can stand in line at the merch for hours and no one will ask if youâre sure you want to wait. And no one will drag you home when you want to wait after the show has finished and find every piece of confetti or ask for the setlist.
4 . Itâs a cult
You are not alone in going to gigs by yourself, youâd probably be surprised by how many people do the same thing. Some fan groups even have entire sub cultures of going to gigs alone (shoutout to Frank Turnerâs solo armada, we see you!) â bringing us back to reason #2, new friends.
5. Confidence boost
Going to a gig by yourself will do wonders for your confidence. Sure the first time might feel a bit awkward and weird, but isnât it always? Remember your first day of school? And then it was kind of okay after a while (letâs ignore our teenage yearsâŠ) Once youâve done it and experience all of the divinity of a solo gig youâll feel free as a bird.
6. Experience the music your way
Whether you love hanging out by the bar, need to be front row, prefer seats or want to leave a bit earlier to catch the last train â the world is your oyster! The experience is yours, you donât need to coordinate with someone else, rely on them to enjoy the show as much as you are and have as much of a good time as you are. And frankly, if you took a chance on a new genre or new artist and it isnât your vibe, you can just go home. Glorious.
So there you have it â doesnât sound too bad now does it?! At the end of the day it all comes down to you and your artist, a concert will always be a shared experience whether with strangers or friends. The most important thing to do is have fun.
Your next gig awaits
It all starts here.

With powerhouse vocals, genre-bucking attitude, and a sharp pen that distills potent feelings into soaring pop hooks, LP has become one of the most internationally beloved singer-songwriters of their generation. Skyrocketing to fame with 2017’s “Lost On You,” a heart-penetrating folk ballad that hit No. 1 in 18 countries, the Los Angeles-based artist has captivated an audience of over 25.7 million monthly listeners/viewers who pack their transcendent, sold-out shows around the world in more than 150 cities from 3,000 to 20,000 tickets. LP’s unparalleled catalog has amassed over 3B streams globally, filled with universal anthems of transformative love and self-discovery, capturing the complexity of the human experience through their eyes. “Songwriting is a way for me to go to the center of my own world,” LP explains, “and find the originality I needed to get for myself.”
LP honed in on their own style through studying the greats—from Freddie Mercury and Jeff Buckley, to Aretha Franklin, Joni Mitchell, and Roy Orbison. They emerged in the early 2000s with their daring blues rock-inflected debut Heart-Shaped Scar and 2004’s Suburban Sprawl & Alcohol, which brought two major label deals that yielded no records. Yet, on the power of their performance skills alone, LP soon landed a publishing deal where they got to learn to write songs alongside legends who had already scored hits that “made them like 50 million dollars, fer sure,” LP jokes. “I was sitting at the feet of these giants.” Seeing their songwriting breakthrough with Rihanna’s 2011 hit “Cheers (Drink to That),” they have also penned hits for Cher, the Backstreet Boys, Céline Dion, and Christina Aguilera.
In 2014, LP issued their Warner Brothers Records release, Forever for Now, whose breakout track “Into the Wild” sparked a frenzy of new listeners who first heard it in a Citibank television commercial and started searching the internet to find out who this talented singer was. International attention came with her next record, 2016’s Lost on You, which birthed the now-iconic title track, as well as “Muddy Waters,” which landed a prominent placement in the season four finale of Netflix’s Orange Is the New Black. LP kept up the momentum with 2018’s Heart to Mouth, which birthed more global hit singles like “Recovery” and “Girls Go Wild,” which was Italy’s most played radio hit of 2019, and again made waves in spring 2020 due to a remake featuring Mexican singer Ximena Sariñana.
A once-in-a-lifetime talent who possesses both wit and introspective depth, LP sees songwriting as their life’s calling, likening it to the art of comedy. “It’s putting someone at ease, helping their mind let go and get them ready to receive these emotions. Then they can let the song speak to their soul in the way that they want.” LP also calls performing their “connection to the world,” which will no doubt be further strengthened with the forthcoming, Love Lines. “I’m trying to reach out to more people all the time,” they add. “To make people feel good for even three minutes of a song.”
