Blessed with sunny climates, thousands of years of history, idyllic beaches, and the most delicious and fresh cuisine, both Italy and Greece are both fantastic choices for a Mediterranean vacation. This Italy and Greece itinerary is perfect for anyone that wants to explore both countries.

It can be so difficult to choose one over the other!

On an Italy trip , you can explore a Seventh Wonder of the World, sail on mountain lakes, and see world-famous artworks like Michelangelo’s David. In Greece , you can island-hop in the Cyclades, stroll through white-washed cobblestone villages, and witness Greece’s ancient history at the Acropolis.

We’ve been lucky enough to visit both Italy and Greece. They are both incredible countries that I love. I’ve been getting a lot of questions recently about combining a trip to Greece and Italy. If you’ve got enough time to explore both destinations, I say go for it!

I would recommend allotting at least 10 days to each country. I’ve written this Italy and Greece itinerary to help you decide where to go, but if you’d like a more detailed Italy and Greece Trip Itinerary, I recommend downloading our combo guide written by myself and Kids are a Trip .

Should I go to Italy or Greece?

Both countries have similarities but they offer totally different cultural experiences. So, if you have the time, why not travel to Italy and Greece?!

greece italy and switzerland tour

Combining visits to both countries into a three-week vacation package will result in the most life-changing, memorable trip.

Italy Packing List

Following a three-week Italy and Greece itinerary also makes sense on a practical level. They’re both Mediterranean countries separated only by the Adriatic Sea, so there are lots of flight, ferry, cruise, and sightseeing tour travel options.

You won’t have to pack for two completely different sets of climates, either. Both countries boast dry and sunny weather for most of the year.

As you digest this three-week Italy and Greece itinerary and learn all the cool things to do in both places, you’ll realize that you simply cannot miss out on any of these amazing experiences.

Best Time to Visit Italy and Greece

The best time to visit both Greece and Italy is in the shoulder season from April – June and September – October. Italy’s and Greece’s warm climate ensures you will still be able to enjoy all the outdoor activities that you can do in summer while avoiding the intense, often dangerous heat of midsummer as well as the crowds and high prices.

Getting Between Italy and Greece

Unless you enjoy long bus rides or hauling your luggage between train connections, the best way to travel from Italy to Greece is either by flying or taking the ferry.

A local specialist in traveling throughout this region will probably tell you that flying is way faster and cheaper. But you might be in the mood (and have the time) for an epic sailing adventure! Either way, you have lots of options.

Fly between Greece and Italy

Kefalonia Greece

Thanks to Europe’s several budget/low-cost airlines, you could get round-trip flights booked from Italy to Greece for less than $40! In peak season, you can still find tickets for less than $100 if you book ahead.

Check out airlines like Jet2, Easyjet, and Ryanair for the best deals. Aegean Airlines, ITA, and Volotea also fly between Italy and Greece so it’s worth checking those too.

Ferry from Greece and Italy

The ferry schedule between Venice (where the Italy portion of this itinerary ends) and Athens (where the Greece section begins) is fairly limited. There are only four sailings a week and single tickets start from $250+ per person.

Oh, the journey time for this ferry ride is approximately 33 hours.

So no, you’re probably not going to sail from Italy to Greece or from Greece to Italy, but it’s an option if you have a big pile of books you want to read sitting on your nightstand. You also don’t need to rent a car to follow this itinerary so there’s no reason why you would have to take a ferry.

What’s the Best Way to Visit Greece and Italy in One Trip?

There are several ways to organize your Greece and Italy itinerary and each of them is great for different reasons. You should choose the option that best fits your needs. Take into consideration budget, mobility, time, and style of travel. For example, if you get very sea sick and don’t like being able to be on your own schedule, then a cruise might not be the best option for you.

If you don’t like to be around a lot of people, a tour might not be a good idea fit either. But if you’re traveling solo and you don’t feel comfortable planning and running your own trip, a do-it-yourself option may not be a good choice for you. I’ll lay out the pros and cons of each option below.

Cost Analysis of Italy and Greece Trip Options

Greece and italy tours.

Embarking on a three-week adventure to two countries that you might not have visited before can be daunting, even a guaranteed amazing trip like this one.

If you’re nervous or traveling solo, booking a multi-day Italy or Greece tour has a lot of benefits. You’ll get a tour director who is a local specialist in traveling this region with a lot of insider tips . Often, tours include some meals like a welcome and farewell dinner, plus you’ll get to make friends with your like-minded, fellow group members.

This two week Italy and Greece tour is a great option for anyone looking to travel in a group and not have to worry about any logistics. It’s also a fantastic price for a trip this length and has great reviews. It’s run by Trafalgar which is a very reputable tour company.

Pros of taking an Italy and Greece Tour

  • Most things are taken care of for you
  • Ability to pay over time
  • Great option for solo travelers who want to make friends
  • Good for those who don’t drive

Cons of taking an Italy and Greece Tour

  • It’s very people-y
  • You’re not on your own schedule
  • Not a lot of flexibility
  • Can be pricey

Italy and Greece Cruises

Another great way to explore these two beautiful countries is to take a cruise of the Aegean and Adriatic seas, allowing you to visit port cities in Greece and Italy. There are several great cruise options. If you’re on a budget, this 16-day cruise is only $3,200 USD and hits so many incredible places in both countries.

Pros of taking an Italy and Greece Cruise

  • Accommodations and most food is taken care of for you
  • Chances to make friends for solo travelers
  • You get to see a lot of ocean

Cons of taking an Italy and Greece Cruise

  • Not great if you get seasick

Do it Yourself Italy and Greece Itinerary

If you don’t think a tour or cruise will be a good option for you, then a DIY Italy and Greece Itinerary is probably going to be the best fit.

This is a detailed, day-by-day itinerary for exploring Italy and Greece over three weeks. If you’re based in the US, there tend to be more direct flights to Italy than Greece and they’re often more affordable.

However, you might personally find it more convenient and cheaper to fly to Greece. Feel free to book round-trip flights to one city in Italy or Greece or fly into one country and out of the other. It all depends on what works for your schedule, vacation time, and the deals you can find.

If you want a more detailed itinerary, I highly recommend downloading our Italy Greece Combo guides. They cover 20 days (10 in each country) and walk you through each day, giving you recommendations, schedules, tours, restaurants, and more. We’ve helped thousands of people travel to Italy and Greece with these guides.

Italy-Itinerary-Cinque-Terre

Visiting all of the iconic cities and resort towns in Italy would take months if not years! This 10-day Italy itinerary is the perfect balance between bustling cities and picturesque countryside.

You’ll visit the capital city of ancient Rome, the floating city of Venice, and Florence as well as the regions of the Amalfi Coast, Cinque Terre, and the northern lakes.

greece italy and switzerland tour

Day 1: Arrive in Rome

If you’re flying from the continental US, Rome is around nine hours ahead to six hours ahead. Excluding early morning departures, this itinerary works for anyone arriving in Rome on a red-eye flight or the day before.

Without delay, welcome to the Eternal City! Rome is Italy’s bustling ancient capital and the best place to begin a first-time Italian adventure.

After breakfast, spend your first morning on a Vespa or walking tour to see the highlights and orientate yourself in this sprawling city. Here are some of the top sights you can expect to see on a guided tour of modern and ancient Rome:

  • Trevi Fountain
  • The Pantheon
  • Spanish Steps
  • Monument to Victor Emmanuel II
  • Roman Forum
  • Castel Sant’Angelo
  • Piazza Navona
  • Piazza del Popolo
  • Campo De Fiori Market

Ask your tour director for advice on where to eat a typical Italian meal during your time in Rome. They are a local specialist, after all! Try street food like the Roman suppli (a fried rice ball similar to Sicilian arancini) or porchetta panini as well as delicious dishes in restaurants.

You should leave room in your schedule to visit the Colosseum, not just see the outside. Book a guided tour to avoid long lines and to learn about the history.

On your first free evening, head across the River Tiber to the cool Trastevere neighborhood.

Things to do in Rome in One Day

Day 2: Rome

It’s only possible to snap photos of the Trevi Fountain without the crowds if you visit very early in the morning. If you’d rather sleep in, after breakfast, spend your morning in Vatican City.

Don’t miss St. Peter’s Basilica, the largest church in the world, and the Vatican Museums, home of the Sistine Chapel. Book a tour of the Vatican Museums so you don’t have to wait in a long line.

After visiting Vatican City, book a cooking class so you can learn how to make more authentic meals in contrast to the Italian dishes you’re probably used to making at home! And it goes without saying, but you should be eating as much homemade gelato in Rome as you can too.

Walk off all those delicious plates of Roman pasta and desserts in Villa Borghese before spending the evening in the Jewish Quarter.

Italy-Travel-Guide-Amalfi

Day 3: Amalfi Coast

It’s time to leave Rome and head south to the Amalfi Coast . This UNESCO-listed region offers charming hillside villages, calm waters, and beautiful white sands.

Here are some fun things to do during your free day on the Amalfi Coast:

  • Positano Beach
  • Villa Cimbrone
  • Sunset at Ravello
  • Fiordo di Furore
  • Emerald Grotto
  • Explore Sorrento
  • Day Trip to Pompeii

Spend the night on the Amalfi Coast .

Italy Itinerary

10 Day Italy Itinerary

Day 5: Florence and Pisa

On your final morning in Florence, you may want to check out some of the top attractions you didn’t get around to visiting the day before.

Accademia Gallery, for example, usually opens at 8:15 am. This is a great time to see the Statue of David as it’s usually packed out!

The train from Florence to Pisa takes less than an hour and it’s en route to the colorful, coastal Cinque Terre villages so it’s the perfect stopover. Spend a few hours here taking Instagrammable photos of the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Cathedral before hopping back on the train to head north.

Ideal towns to stay in on Cinque Terre for this itinerary are Monterosso al Mare or the nearby city of Levanto.

Things to do in Cinque Terre

Day 6: Cinque Terre

Start off your full day in Cinque Terre in the picturesque village of Monterosso al Mare. This is the northernmost town of the five lands that make up Cinque Terre. The other four, from north to south, are Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore.

There are three ways you can explore Cinque Terre:

  • By train – Purchase a Cinque Terre rail pass at any station to visit all five villages
  • By ferry – Head to the dock for a day pass but note they don’t stop at Corniglia
  • By foot – The Blue Trail connects all five villages but parts are often closed for maintenance

Exploring by train is the quickest and most efficient way to see all five villages. Enjoy the epic viewpoints, gelato, seafood, and watching the sunset from any of the Cinque Terre towns.

10 Day Italy Itinerary

Day 7: Milan and Lake Como

Wake up bright and early to take the train from Cinque Terre. Plan to arrive in Milan early afternoon for a short stopover.

Head to the town of Bellagio on the banks of Lake Como where you’ll spend the night. You can take a train to Como and then a bus, but you might prefer to hire a driver for convenience.

It’s time to explore the romantic, floating city of Venice! Book a driver for your return trip to Milan and take the train to Venice.

The first thing you should do is take a gondola ride along the Grand Canal and down the waterways that run beside Venice’s narrow streets. You’ll be able to see lots of churches, city squares, and bridges from the viewpoint that Venice is meant to be seen.

Spend your free evening eating cicchetti (Venitian tapas) and if you’re in the mood for after-dinner drinks, head to Harry’s Bar where Hemingway once frequented.

  • Rialto Bridge and Market
  • Peggy Guggenheim Collection
  • St Mark’s Campanile
  • Bridge of Sighs

You’ll visit the ancient city of Athens on mainland Greece before venturing on an island-hopping Greece tour of Crete and two islands in the Cyclades, Santorini and Naxos.

The tour organized by indus travels ....

The tour organized by Indus Travels was flawless. Hotels, tours, and transportation all impressed me. We had a very relaxing time knowing what was happening at each stage. The scenery and activities were fantastic and did not disappoint. The highlight of the trip was definitely Galapagos Islands.

Booked Mystical Egypt tour with them visiting Cairo and a 03 Nights Cruise from Luxor to Aswan in May. All services were perfect since the time we arrived at the airport, we were met by a hospitable Indus Representative who helped us with the purchase of local SIM and currency exchange. He was always there in time to assist for transfers. The Amwaj Cruise which we took from Luxor to Aswan was a Gem. We had great guides and all sightseeing worked like a clockwork. We enjoyed visiting Karnak Temples, Temples of Edfu, Kom Ombo and the boat ride to see Phillae Temple. Evening entertainment on cruise were great and engaging. In Cairo and Aswan, we had ample leisure time to explore on own, the Pyramids were impressive and visiting Khan e Khalili was fun. Overall and impressive and enjoyable tour, Thanks to Indus Travels!

Indus Travel runs a highly...

Indus Travel runs a highly professional organization. From customer service to brochures, bookings, tour guides, etc. and the consideration for their customers is superb. This was the first time I had travelled with Indus Travels. We took the Taste of Portugal Tour. Group numbers are small, accommodation comfortable and food excellent. The expert guide who accompanied us was outstanding - passionate, informative, engaging, and entertaining. This company is obviously at the heart of the itinerary planning, and attention to detail is second to none. I would highly recommend this company to anyone wanting a fun, relaxed, educational vacation with fine food - they will deliver! We will never forget this trip and we are already planning for another one to Wonders of Italy, Vienna, Budapest, and Prague.

Best of Italy

Indus Travels did an excellent job planning the trip to Italy. We were on Best of Italy in Oct 2022. The tour was 5 stars all the way. The hotel accommodations were comfortable and clean & guides were top-notch.

We were looking for a...

We were looking for a customized, small group tour. We took a chance on Indus without knowing much about the company. We just returned from our trip to Greece and are more than highly please and satisfied with our experience. They planned an amazing itinerary, booked amazing hotels, hired knowledgeable tour guides and arranged high quality transportation services. Everyone went above and beyond to please us. We are already planning a trip for next year (2024) and will definitely use Indus to do so.

My wife and I along...

My wife and I along with three friends signed up the tour to Mexico from Indus Travel. The total 12-day Maya Culture trip really gave us opportunities to learn Mexico indigenous cultures thoroughly. We have seen a lot of ruins and pyramids, each of them has different representations and can tell the history of what was happening atthat time. We also had chances to visit the indigenous families toexperence the real Mexican people's life inthe rural area. The views of volcanoes, villages and canyons are also unforgettable. This is a small group with total 7 tourists, our driver/tour guide is a very experienced guide, he explained the history in sequence of events in and out. Most of all with 2500km driving he made us fell safe with his skills. All in all, this trip worths a 5+ star. I was so surprised that Indus Travel assigned a tour coordinator dedicated to our group, Kathlene helped a lot to make the arrangement for the whole trip and made us worry free.

My partner and I planned...

My partner and I planned a trip to Greece with a small group. Indus and their representatives went above and beyond to curate an amazing trip that felt very exclusive. We just returned a couple of weeks ago and are already planning another trip.

I booked a trip with...

I booked a trip with Indus to South Africa and had a fabulous time! It was easy to book the trip online and any questions I had were answered very quickly by Sabine. The hotels we stayed at were very nice and in good locations. Our tours were well organized and our safari in Kruger National park was definitely a highlight. A few mornings had a bright and early start, but this allowed us to accomplish quite a lot in a day. The hotel restaurants had decent food, which was convenient if we had a longer day and didn't want to go out to eat. Overall, I was very happy with the trip and I felt the price for my tour was excellent value. I would definitely use Indus again!

Exploring Bogota was fantastic -...

Exploring Bogota was fantastic - a lively city with so much to see. The Gold Museum was a highlight, taking us on a journey through centuries of history. We spent hours there, fascinated by the detailed exhibits showcasing the rich culture. After Bogota, we flew to St. Andres, a Caribbean paradise. Despite some rain during the 'rainy season,' the island's charm and our packed sightseeing schedule made every moment unforgettable. Activities like mangrove kayaking, snorkeling, and island hopping showcased St. Andres' natural beauty. WE even rescued a sick blue heron during our tour and transferred it to rescue services. The food was another standout. Local cuisine was not only delicious but also budget-friendly, offering a unique blend of flavors. I love seafood especially seviche, and I was trully impress by quality and diversity. But what really made our trip special was the people. Friendliness was everywhere, whether chatting with locals or getting tips on hidden gems. The genuine hospitality added an extra layer of joy to an already amazing journey. Bogota and St. Andres left a lasting impression, going beyond sightseeing to truly experience the heart and soul of these incredible destinations. Big thank you to Indus team, who put together this trip for me. I am looking forward to exploring other South American countries with Indus.

Glimpse of Egypt Quick paced tour...

Glimpse of Egypt Quick paced tour taken after Egypt opened back up to tourists, particularly Americans. Went in November and weather was beautiful. Decent hotels and overnight Nile cruise. You will see a lot on this tour and be aware there are some early wake ups. Lots of walking but doable if you're in decent shape. Overall a fun tour with all the sites you have only seen in books!

Italy experiences a diverse range of climates due to its geographical location. Generally, the country has a Mediterranean climate characterized by hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters. Coastal regions enjoy mild temperatures throughout the year, while inland areas can experience more significant temperature variations. Northern Italy tends to be cooler than the south, and the mountainous regions, such as the Alps and the Dolomites, have colder winters and offer opportunities for winter sports. It's always a good idea to check the weather conditions for the region you plan to visit, as they can vary.

Greece has a Mediterranean climate, characterized by hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters. Summers in Greece are typically long and hot, with average temperatures ranging from 25°C to 35°C (77°F to 95°F). The country receives abundant sunshine during this season. On-Tour Luggage & Carry-On Bag Size Limits

Luggage : Each guest traveling may bring one suitcase no larger than 30” x 18” x 10" and weighing no more than 50 lb

Carry-On Bag : *Restricted to one piece per person, not to exceed 12” x 11” x 6”

  • *Please note : A "carry-on bag" on a tour coach is not the same as a "carry-on" for a flight. Because our coaches have large windows to enjoy the view, there is minimal space to store large items securely overhead or under the seats. A "carry-on bag" may be a soft-sided daypack, purse, backpack, tote bag, or the like. Because we value our guests' safety, small rolling suitcases or bags with telescopic handles are not permitted. In order to guarantee a smooth trip, guests are not permitted to store an additional "carry-on" bag beneath the coach with the luggage.

So your driver and any hotel porters can safely lift and transport your suitcase throughout your vacation, we strongly recommend that you test the weight of your baggage prior to travel. You should be able to lift and comfortably transport it for short distances.

Baggage allowances vary from airline to airline, and you should check with your chosen carrier for details prior to travel.

Packing Tips for Your Tour

Packing for a guided tour will vary depending on the duration of the trip, the time of year, and the activities planned. Here is a general packing list to help you get started:

Passport and Travel Documents : Ensure you have your passport , travel insurance , and any necessary travel documents.

  • Comfortable walking shoes: Cobblestone streets and uneven terrain require comfortable footwear.
  • Lightweight, breathable clothing: Pack clothes suitable for the season. Bring a mix of short-sleeved tops, lightweight pants or skirts, and a few long-sleeved options for cooler evenings for the summer months, and long-sleeved and heavier layers for early Spring, Fall, and Winter.
  • Layers: It's advisable to bring a light jacket or sweater and a scarf for layering, especially in Spring or Fall.
  • Nice evening wear: You may wish to wear a dressier outfit if you plan on dining in an elegant restaurant, for example. Smart-casual clothes are usually acceptable for all included daytime and evening activities throughout your tour.
  • Rain Gear: Depending on the season and the countries you're visiting, it's a good idea to pack a compact rain jacket or umbrella.

Sun Protection:

  • Hat, sunglasses, UV-protective clothing.
  • Sunscreen with high SPF. If you're visiting any coastal areas, bring reef-safe sunscreen formulated without harmful chemicals known to be damaging to coral reefs and marine life. Traditional sunscreens often contain ingredients like oxybenzone and octinoxate, which have been found to contribute to coral bleaching and negatively impact marine ecosystems. Look for sunscreens with certifications such as "Reef Safe," "Coral Safe," or "Ocean-Friendly" to ensure they are environmentally friendly .

Medications and First Aid:

  • Any prescription medications you need. (See more below under Health & Wellness)
  • Basic first aid kit with adhesive bandages, antiseptic wipes, pain relievers, etc.

Toiletries:

  • Travel-sized toiletries, including shampoo, conditioner, soap, and toothpaste.
  • Travel towel (quick-drying and compact).
  • Hand sanitizer and wet wipes.
  • A washcloth and carry bag (often not available in hotels abroad).

Electronics:

  • A camera: You’re traveling to see extraordinary scenery and sites. So that you don't miss a single moment, bring a trustworthy camera. Check out our travel photography tips for capturing the best photos of your trips. If you feel comfortable, you can also try the camera on your phone . However, if you want to zoom in or capture moving objects, a camera might be your best bet.
  • Mobile phone.
  • Chargers for each electronic you bring.
  • Travel adapter and/or voltage converter
  • Portable power bank for charging devices on the go.
  • Small travel hair dryer (make sure you have the correct converter and adapter).

Miscellaneous:

  • A travel-friendly daypack or bag to carry your essentials during excursions.
  • Insect repellent.
  • Reusable water bottle. At GET, we’re all about caring for our planet , and with that in mind, we always recommend that you pack a reusable water bottle for your trip. Bringing your own reusable water bottle or asking for tap water at restaurants means you can make a difference by reducing your vacation plastic waste.
  • A small travel alarm.
  • A travel iron if you like your clothes to be pressed.
  • A travel pillow.
  • Scarf or shawl for visiting religious sites or to cover up in conservative areas.
  • Light sleepwear.
  • A new, blank journal to document your trip. Don't know your travel journal style? Find out here !
  • Ziplock bags (storing snacks, toiletries, and keeping things organized).

Remember to pack light and versatile items that can be mixed and matched for different outfits. Laundry facilities are often available, or you can have your clothes laundered at hotels during your trip. It's also a good idea to pack a small bag or backpack to bring on the coach for day trips and excursions, leaving your larger luggage at the hotel.

Electricity

American appliances run on 110-120 volts at 60 Hz, while European appliances run on 220-230 volts at 50 Hz.

As a result, American appliances designed for use in the United States (typically 120 volts at 60 Hz) may not be directly compatible with the higher voltage used in European countries. Plugging a 120-volt appliance into a 220-240-volt outlet without the appropriate voltage converter or transformer can cause damage to the appliance or pose safety risks.

If you plan to bring American appliances to Europe, you will need a voltage converter or transformer to change the voltage to 220-240 volts from 110 volts. Additionally, you will likely need a plug adapter to fit the American-style plug into the European power outlets. All of Europe operates on the same two round-pronged outlets (Type C).

It's important to note that not all appliances are compatible with voltage converters, so it's essential to check the labels or user manuals of your devices before using them with a voltage converter. Some electronic devices, such as laptops, smartphones, and camera chargers, are dual voltage and can support 120V and 220-240V, so they may not require a voltage converter, but a plug adapter will still be necessary.

To avoid any issues with electrical compatibility during your travels, consider purchasing appliances specifically designed for the voltage used in the region you'll be visiting or use appropriate voltage converters and plug adapters to ensure the safe operation of your American appliances in Europe.

We recommend purchasing an adapter with a voltage converter so you can pack less. And to pick up any necessary adapters or converters for your electronic devices before departing on your guided tour and bringing them with you.

Hair Dryers in Your Hotel

Hair dryers are common accessories in hotels. Should you want to bring your own, though, you will need to bring an adapter and voltage converter or make sure it is dual voltage by checking the label for INPUT AC 120V - 240V or a switch that can be set to 125V or 250V. Many devices have this feature, so it's worth checking before you travel. If you need a hair dryer during your trip but can't find one in your hotel room, you can inquire with the hotel staff. Many hotels will be able to provide a hair dryer upon request, either at the front desk or through housekeeping.

Air Conditioning

Air conditioning is commonly available in European hotels, restaurants, and public spaces, especially in major cities and tourist areas, but it is worth noting that the settings will differ from what you are used to in the USA.

However, it's important to note that not all accommodations or historic buildings may have air conditioning, particularly in more traditional or rural settings. Most hotels in Europe can provide a portable fan for additional room cooling if requested. Your Travel Director will be on hand to assist you throughout your trip.

Traveling by coach

Our modern air-conditioned coaches have been selected with your comfort in mind. Your Travel Director will familiarize you with all the onboard features, including a washroom fitted for your convenience and comfort. Regular stops are made to stretch your legs, take refreshments, fill up your water bottles, and use the facilities.

Airport transfers

Airport transfers to and from the airport on the first and last days of your tour are complimentary only if you are traveling on a tour operated by Trafalgar, Insight Vacations, or Luxury Gold, and   your flight times coincide with the shuttle-coach transfer timings. Learn more about Airport Transfers here .

To enable you to personalize your tour experience, you will find a number of Optional Experiences designed to complement the itinerary. These are designed to offer a deeper insight into the culture and character of the areas to be visited and provide some wonderful highlights to your travels. The optional program is designed to let you experience more of what interests you and to get the most from your vacation without replacing or overlapping with anything included in an itinerary.

The majority of Optional Experiences will be offered to you by your Travel Director at the beginning of your trip. Some may be subject to change, depending on the time you are traveling or local circumstances, including weather and days of the week. Your Travel Director will provide further information.

Usually, most Optional Experiences will be priced in the local currency, but please read through the details of individual optional experiences for specific information. Exact payment options will be advised locally by your Travel Director/Local Representative for each Optional Experience, but in many cases, cash, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express are all accepted.

It is recommended to have travel insurance that covers medical expenses while abroad.

In order to ensure a healthy and enjoyable trip, we strongly suggest that you pack a plentiful supply of any medication you may need while on vacation. Here’s what you need to know about traveling with medications .

Prior to traveling, please notify GET of any disability requiring special assistance or any specific dietary needs that you may have, and we will strive to accommodate these.

It's essential to ensure that your routine vaccinations are up-to-date before traveling to any destination. Routine vaccinations may include vaccinations for measles, mumps, rubella, diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, polio, and influenza.

When traveling with GET, baggage handling at hotels, service charges, and tips for hotel wait staff (for included meals) will all be taken care of by your Travel Director. There are, however, a few instances where individual tipping is welcome.

Local Specialists

It is customary to show appreciation for the insights, stories, and know-how shared with you by the Local Specialists, and we suggest a gratuity equivalent to $1.00-$2.00 USD per person per half day.

Your Coach Driver and Travel Director

The trip cost does not include gratuities for your Travel Director and Driver. At the end of your trip, you may express appreciation to your Travel Director and Driver for their excellent service and the personal attention you received. Gratuities are given at the discretion of each guest, and a suggested amount per person/per day is listed in your travel documents.

For your convenience and ease, there is an option to pre-pay gratuities for the Travel Director and Driver at the time of booking.

Hotel services

It is customary to tip hotel staff for room service delivery if the charge has not already been added to the bill. Where ice machines are not available, and you receive ice from the bar, a small tip to the bartender is always appreciated.

  • How to Plan a Trip to Switzerland and Italy 2024

As two of the popular tourist destinations in Europe, Italy and Switzerland have much to explore, from historical charm to stunning towns at the foot of the Alps.

If you are planning a trip to Switzerland and Italy, this page may give you some tips and inspiration for your plan.

  • 2. Itinerary Suggestions
  • 3. Best Times
  • 5. How to Travel

How Many Days Are Needed for Italy and Switzerland?

If you want to fully enjoy the must-see cities in both countries on your first visit, we recommend spending about 2 weeks on your trip, with 1 week in Italy for its top cities such as Rome, Florence, and Venice, and 1 week in Switzerland for its major cities and alpine scenery.

The duration of the tour should not be less than 10 days. If your time is too short, you would not be able to take in the highlights of both countries. You could mainly focus on Italy or Switzerland, with a brief trip to the other country (where you would only be able to visit one important city).

If you have 3 weeks or more, you could explore both countries more deeply. For example, you could extend your explorations to the south of Italy, including its coastal towns or islands, and you could also do some trekking in Switzerland or explore more towns in the Swiss Alps.

Switzerland and Italy Itinerary Suggestions

Here are two suggested Italy and Switzerland itineraries for your inspiration.

1) 2 Weeks in Switzerland and Italy for Families

  • Days 1–3: Rome arrival and sightseeing
  • Days 4–6: Venice highlights with a boat ride and an island hopping
  • Days 7–9: Lucerne with a trip to Mount   Tilits
  • Days 10–12: Interlaken, Jungfraujoch sightseeing
  • Days 13–14: Zurich sightseeing

In this 14-day itinerary, you would spend about 1 week in Switzerland and 1 week in Italy.

During your first week in Italy, we recommend a relaxed itinerary focusing on family-friendly activities in Rome and Venice. In Rome, embark on a private tour of the Colosseum for an enriched experience. We'll arrange skip-the-line tickets in advance, ensuring minimal waiting time, and guide you to the top floor for a serene bird's-eye view with fewer crowds. Explore the Vatican and meander through charming Italian plazas at your leisure.

In Venice, indulge in an interesting gondola ride along the picturesque canals, immersing yourselves in the city's enchanting ambiance. Venture on an island-hopping excursion to Murano and Burano, renowned for their vibrant glass artistry and colorful architecture.

Transitioning to Switzerland, begin your journey in Lucerne with a scenic boat trip on Lake Lucerne, reveling in its serene beauty. Ascend Mt. Titlis for awe-inspiring vistas of deep glacier crevasses and the majestic Alpine panorama. Proceed to Interlaken, nestled amidst the Swiss Alps, where you and your family could explore the charming town and marvel at snow-capped peaks. Take a cogwheel train from Interlaken to Jungfraujoch, Europe's highest railway station, for breathtaking views of the Swiss Alps.

Concluding your family adventure in Zurich, embark on a comprehensive city tour, delving into the historic Old Town, admiring Zurich Cathedral, and visiting the family-friendly Lindt Home of Chocolate to uncover the secrets of Swiss chocolate making.

2) An Italy and Switzerland Itinerary for 10 Days

  • Day 1: Rome arrival
  • Day 2: Rome day tour
  • Days 3–4: Rome to Florence, Florence sightseeing
  • Days 5–6: Florence to Venice, Venice day tour
  • Day 7: Venice to Zurich, Zurich sightseeing
  • Days 8–9: Zurich to Lucerne, Old Town, Lake Lucerne, Mount Pilatus
  • Day 10: Zurich to Geneva, Geneva sightseeing

This itinerary is a time-smart option. It would let you see the major highlights of the top tourist cities in these two countries.

In the 10 days in Italy and Switzerland, spend 6 days in Italy to explore its historical heritage, museums, and squares. For the other 3 or 4 days in Switzerland, you are recommended to spend more days in Lucerne. There, you could enjoy the alpine scenery. Ride the world's steepest cogwheel railway up to Mount Pilatus for panoramic views. If the weather permits, you could hike for an adventurous experience.

If you want to have a more relaxed travel pace, an itinerary of 12–14 days would be better. Feel free to contact us for a customized itinerary based on your preferences.

Best Times to Visit Switzerland and Italy

If you want decent weather with fewer crowds, you could consider visiting in May, early June, or September. Italy and Switzerland enjoy relatively warm and dry weather in these months.

October in Italy is still good for traveling. Switzerland becomes cool in October, averaging 7–15°C (45–59°F), and you would need some warm clothes. If you think such weather is fine, then October is also a good choice.

Late June, July, and August form the peak season in both Italy and Switzerland. Switzerland, located in the Alpine region, serves as an ideal summer retreat from the heat, attracting numerous tourists in summer. Despite the intense summer heat in Italy, tourists' enthusiasm for Italy only grows, drawing continuous streams of visitors.

Winter is the off-peak and rainy season in Italy but emerges as the peak season for Switzerland's skiing destinations. During the Christmas holiday, a particularly popular time, you could relish skiing, sledding, indulging in thermal spa treatments, and exploring Christmas markets in Switzerland.

You could get more weather and travel information on Best Times to Visit Italy .

Costs for a Trip to Switzerland and Italy

The travel costs for Switzerland are more expensive than for Italy. For a private tour based on two people, it costs about 400 USD per person per day in Italy and about 600 USD in Switzerland.

The costs would include a private car service, a private guide service, transportation between Italy and Switzerland, train/flight tickets within Italy and Switzerland, 4-star hotels, tickets for attractions, and full-day itineraries.

The estimated price we have given is only for reference. If you want a more specific quote, please contact us . Our travel advisor would give you a detailed itinerary, and the corresponding budget options based on your travel time, group size, and other requirements.

If you want to get a reference price for a 2-week Italy and Switzerland tour, you could check out our  14-Day Best of Italy and Switzerland Tour .

How to Travel Between Switzerland and Italy

Flying is the fastest and most popular way to travel between Switzerland and Italy. Major airports in Switzerland (usually Zurich or Geneva) have flights to various Italian cities, including Milan, Rome, Venice, and Florence.

Another popular way is by train. There are scenic train routes between Switzerland and Italy. The most famous is the Bernina Express, from Chur or St. Moritz in Switzerland to Milan in Italy or vice versa. The trip takes about 4–5 hours. The train ride provides excellent views, with spacious and comfortable carriages featuring large panoramic windows for you to enjoy the surrounding beauty.

To ensure a hassle-free experience, transportation between Switzerland and Italy would be included in our private tour service. We would book the flight/train tickets in advance according to your requirements.

Our tour guide, Margarita, was sent good and patient, as was Paul, who was on the cruise. Most of the other guides were outstanding, as well. I definitely recommend eating at the hotel in Rome, the food there was better than any of the restaurants in town. Some of the hotels needed some upgrades, but were clean. The experience was amazing and very well planned. I highly recommend this trip!!

What people love about fully guided tours in greece and italy.

Trip overall was a good experience the tour director and our coach driver's were awesome!!! The hotel in Venice was awful outlet and lights didn't work their staff was rude and unaccomodating we couldn't use the pool on a hot day cause it was always closed thank God we only spent 1 day there with its filthy walls inside our room. We paid for one optional guide in Venice that was a joke the guide walked us to a abandoned church gave us some history on it and that was it went to St. Marks where none of us got to see the tomb and the tour was over didn't get close to our money's worth the entire group felt this way.

Best time for travel peaks of europe: the alps to the dolomites featuring france, switzerland, liechtenstein, austria, and italy.

While just about any month is great to visit France, Switzerland, Austria, and Italy, there are a few prime times of the year for the Peaks of Europe  tour. Here are some recommendations from our destination experts.

Spring: Milder weather and fewer crowds in the shoulder season make spring a nice time to visit.

Summer: A great time for this tour is in the summer, with colorful, breathtaking scenery in every direction. It’s the busy season, so you’ll see lots of other travelers. While the weather can get quite warm, the Alps tend to be a bit cooler than the surrounding areas.

Fall: You’ll still encounter crowds through mid-October, but the weather is sensational.

In Chamonix you have the choice between 2 activities. Explore the legendary Mont Blanc – Europe's tallest peak and birthplace of mountaineering – your way. Ascend the Aiguille du Midi by cable car to an elevation of over 12,600 feet (3,842 meters)*. This is the closest you can get to the summit of Europe’s tallest peak. Your second choice is leisure time in Chamonix

Continue your exploration of Italy with a two-night stay in Venice, the “Queen of the Adriatic”. From your centrally located hotel, the city is yours to uncover. Join a local guide for a walking tour of this incredible city, and enjoy ample free time to meander amongst the historic streets, taking in the city’s unique architecture and gondola-laden canals.

  • Mogliano Veneto - Venice
  • Continue your exploration of Italy with a 2-night stay in Venice, the “Queen of the Adriatic.” After a motorboat transfer, meet your local guide for a walking tour of this incredible city, including the Bridge of Sighs, the Clock Tower, and St. Mark’s Square. You’ll also learn about the Venetian art of glassblowing during an interactive demonstration.
  • Enjoy a day to explore Venice at your leisure. From your centrally located hotel, the city is yours to uncover. Meander amongst the historic streets, taking in the city’s unique architecture and gondola-laden canals. You may choose to experience the local cuisine at a typical bacaro, a small wine-bar where locals stop for a glass of wine – traditionally called ombra – and a quick bite of local tapas – that Venetians call cicchetti. Or take a local public waterbus ride to the nearby island of San Giorgio which offers spectacular views of St. Mark’s Square and the Doge’s Palace.
  • Venice - Tour Ends
  • Say arrivederci to Italy as your tour comes to a close.

Cross into Germany for a visit to Oberammergau, the world-renowned home of the Passion Play. This Bavarian village of traditionally painted houses comes together every 10 years* to perform a marathon 10-hour folk theatre rendition of the Passion of Christ in thanksgiving for escaping the great plague of 1633. After visiting the theatre site and town, indulge in homemade Tyrolean cuisine at a local restaurant before returning to Seefeld.

Day 1: lake lucerne boat tour.

The Chapel Bridge, Lucerne, Switzerland

A boat tour around Lake Lucerne is a must-do experience for any visitor to this picturesque region of Switzerland. Starting in the charming town of Lucerne, the tour takes you on a leisurely journey around the lake, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and picturesque villages along the shore. The round trip to Beckenried is a particularly popular option, as it takes you through the heart of the lake and allows you to see some of the most beautiful and historic sights along the way.

As you set out on your tour, you’ll pass by the iconic Chapel Bridge, a wooden footbridge that spans the Reuss River and is one of the most photographed landmarks in Switzerland. You’ll also see the Water Tower, a medieval structure that once served as a prison and torture chamber.

As you continue on your journey, you’ll pass by the village of Weggis, which is known for its beautiful gardens and stunning views of the Rigi mountain. You’ll also see the village of Vitznau, which is home to the oldest rack railway in Switzerland, and the village of Beckenried, which is a popular destination for hiking and skiing.

Throughout the tour, you’ll have the opportunity to take in the stunning scenery and learn about the history and culture of the region from your knowledgeable guide. Whether you’re a first-time visitor to Switzerland or a seasoned traveler, a boat tour around Lake Lucerne is an unforgettable experience that you won’t want to miss.

Guided Tour of Lucerne

Your guided tour of the city of Lucerne provides the opportunity to enjoy a stunning mountainous panorama and a variety of attractions to explore. Visitors can indulge in the city’s shopping offerings, and admire the picturesque lakeside setting.

The Chapel Bridge, a covered medieval bridge adorned with gable paintings, is the centerpiece of Lucerne’s townscape and is considered one of the oldest, covered wooden bridges in Europe. Another iconic landmark of the city is the Museggmauer, a well-preserved wall with the exception of one tower, that serves as a reminder of the town’s history and fortification.

The picturesque town squares of Lucerne are lined with historic houses decorated with frescoes, such as the car-free old town’s ‘Weinmarkt’ square. The city is known for its many squares and churches, including the 17th-century Jesuit church, considered to be Switzerland’s first Baroque sacral building, and the twin towers of the Hofkirche, an iconic part of the townscape. One of the most famous monuments in Switzerland is the figure of a dying lion, carved in memory of the Swiss guards who died during an attack on the Tuileries in 1792. Additionally, Lucerne is home to one of the world’s few remaining circular paintings, the 112-meter-long Bourbaki panorama.

In Lucerne, tradition and modernity coexist seamlessly. The city is known for its innovative design and architectural highlights, such as the futuristic Culture and Convention Centre (KKL) designed by renowned French architect Jean Nouvel. The KKL is a prominent landmark of the city and a hub for diverse cultural events throughout the year, cementing Lucerne’s reputation as a festival city.

Day 2: Mount Pilatus

Mount Pilatus from Lake Lucerne, Switzerland on first part of switzerland to italy tour.

The mountain of Pilatus, located in Lucerne, is steeped in legends and renowned for its natural beauty. Known as the maker of weather, dragon’s lair, home to giants, and the grave of rulers, Pilatus is one of the most iconic places in Central Switzerland.

According to one legend, a dragon rock fell from the sky in the year 1420. Another story claims that the Roman governor Pontius Pilatus was buried in the lake at the base of the mountain. Additionally, there is a legend of a petrified man standing guard in front of a cave. The total journey time is approx 5 hours, so we will stop in the town of Como en route to enjoy an Italian-style lunch.

greece italy and switzerland tour

The Piazza San Marco, also known as the “drawing room of Europe” according to Napoleon, is famous for its Basilica San Marco, which is known for its Italian-Byzantine architecture.

Your tour guide will take you inside this Gothic masterpiece, the St. Mark’s Basilica, with a skip-the-line entrance. The basilica was originally built as the private chapel of the Doge and was intended to hold the relics of St. Mark the Evangelist.

The last destination on this iconic tour is the Doge’s Palace, located to the right of St. Mark’s Basilica. The palace stands out for its white and pink herringbone brick exterior and its highly ornate Gothic white stone arches, which give it a distinct Venetian flair. The palace was the center of political power and was the residence of the Doge until the Napoleonic invasion of 1797.

Day 5: Fast Train From Venice To Florence

The journey in a first-class carriage takes approx 2 hrs and 15 minutes.

Strolling Florence's Heart: Private Walking Tour

Exploring Florence with your private guide.

During the course of the tour, you will visit the following sites with your private guide:

  • Ponte Vecchio
  • Baptistry doors
  • Piazza della Signoria
  • Palazzo Vecchio
  • Piazza Repubblica
  • Orsanmichele Church

The walking tour starts at one of the most iconic and significant places in Florence, the Ponte Vecchio, also known as the “old bridge” across the renowned Arno River. The bridge has a history that dates back to 996 and its current form has been in place since 1345. You will have the chance to explore the unique shops and jewelers that are located along the historic structure.

Your next destination is the exterior of the magnificent 13th-century Gothic Duomo Cathedral, featuring the renowned dome by Brunelleschi, as well as the impressive Baptistry doors, known as the “Gates of Paradise” in Florence.

You will proceed to explore some of the city’s most significant squares, such as Piazza Della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, and Piazza Repubblica. You will trace the history of these squares, from Ancient Rome to its use as the Jewish Ghetto and its current state in the modern day.

As part of the tour, you will also visit the Orsanmichele Church where you can touch the nose of the Porcellino pig statue for good luck!

Day 6: Florence Museums Tour: Uffizi & Accademia

Uffizi Gallery, Italy

This tour will take you through two of Florence’s most renowned museums, the Galleria dell’Accademia and the Galleria Uffizi.

You begin at the Uffizi Gallery, one of the world’s oldest museums established in 1591.

Alongside your private guide admire a variety of renowned works by some of the most prominent Renaissance artists such as Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, and Giotto. The legacy of this brilliant era can be appreciated by exploring the works of Masters like Titian and Michelangelo, which demonstrate how Renaissance techniques revolutionized the art world forever.

Some of the priceless works on display are:

  • Sandro Botticelli: Primavera, The Birth of Venus
  • Michelangelo: The Holy Family (Doni Tondo)
  • Leonardo da Vinci: The Annunciation, Adoration of the Magi
  • Raphael: Madonna of the Goldfinch, Portrait of Leo X
  • Titian: Flora, Venus of Urbino
  • Caravaggio: Bacchus, Sacrifice of Isaac, Medusa
  • Rembrandt: Self-portrait as a Young Man

Accademia Private Tour

michelangelo's david on a private museum tour in Florence.

After the Uffizi Gallery, you will proceed to the Accademia where you will see Michelangelo’s iconic sculpture “David” and his unfinished “Slaves” works.

The Statue of David, a 5.17-meter marble masterpiece of Renaissance sculpture, was originally situated outside the Palazzo Vecchio but was later moved to the Accademia Gallery in 1873. Seeing the statue with a private guide is the best way to fully appreciate its beauty and learn about Michelangelo’s life, the statue’s meaning, and historical significance.

In addition to viewing Michelangelo’s works, you can also spend some time with your guide exploring the other art collections at the Accademia Gallery in Florence, featuring artists such as Paolo Uccello, Sandro Botticelli, Andrea del Sarto, and Giambologna.

Day 7: Cinque Terre Tour From Florence via Pisa

cinque terre sea view

With your private driver and guide, you will depart from Florence to explore the picturesque coastal towns of Liguria, known as the Cinque Terre. One of the villages, Monterosso al Mare, is the largest and oldest of the five towns, dating back to 1056. The village is divided into two parts, the historic old town, and the more tourist-oriented Fegina, and it features notable monuments.

Vernazza, often considered the most charming of the Cinque Terre villages, was first documented in 1080. The village was once economically and socially advanced, as seen in its town planning and architectural elements such as lodges, churches, casetorri, and arcades. The village is dominated by the remains of the “castrum,” a series of 11th-century Medieval forts, including a cylindrical castle and tower.

Corniglia is a unique village among the Cinque Terre as it is not situated on the coast. It sits atop a rocky promontory and its architecture, characterized by low and wide houses, is more reminiscent of inland villages rather than coastal towns. This is a testament to the fact that the village’s traditional livelihood has always been focused on the land rather than the sea.

Manarola, a hamlet of Riomaggiore, is a town planning gem, with a rich abundance of tower houses in the Genovese style. The village was founded in the 12th century and its name is believed to have originated from an ancient “magna roea,” or large mill wheel that was once located in the village.

Riomaggiore has several notable monuments, including the San Giovanni Battista church, built in 1340 with a central nave that is double the width of the side ones, and the Oratorio di Santa Maria Assunta, which contains a 15th-century Trittico and a 1300s wooden statue of the Madonna. Additionally, the prominent Castello castle towers over the historic center.

After visiting these sites, you will return to Florence in the evening.

Day 8: Fast Train From Florence To Rome & Delivery To Hotel

Journey time approx 1.5 hours.

Introduction To Rome Walking Tour

Figures and statues carved in marble at the Trevi fountain.

This tour offers a blend of ancient history and contemporary culture as you explore the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, the exterior of the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, and many other lesser-known gems.

Your expert guide will lead you through one of the world’s most magnificent cities, showcasing its splendor. Designed as an introduction to the Eternal City, this guided walking tour provides a relaxed stroll through the heart of Rome, where you will encounter numerous historical monuments.

As you navigate through the city’s historic streets and squares, your expert private guide will lead you on a journey of political, historical, and artistic discovery, providing not only historical background but also intriguing stories, customs, and local legends that make these sights so captivating.

Guided Tour of Castel Sant'Angelo

The Mausoleum of Hadrian, commonly known as Castel Sant’Angelo, is a cylindrical building in Parco Adriano. It was originally commissioned by the Roman Emperor Hadrian as a tomb for himself and his family. Later, it was used by the Popes as a fortress and castle, and it is now a museum. The building was once the tallest structure in Rome.

Day 9: Skip The Line Vatican Tour: Museums, Sistine Chapel, & St Peter's

vatican, rome private tours page

A Skip the Line Vatican Tour is a great way to experience the Vatican’s world-renowned museums, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica without waiting in long lines.

The Vatican Museums are home to an impressive collection of art and artifacts from ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome, as well as an extensive collection of Renaissance masterpieces.

The Sistine Chapel, with its iconic ceiling painted by Michelangelo, is a must-see for art lovers and history buffs alike. The tour also includes a visit to St. Peter’s Basilica, one of the most important religious sites in the world and the largest church in the world.

The tour guide will provide interesting historical facts, stories, and information about the art and architecture of the sites, you will also have the opportunity to view some of the most famous works of art in the world.

Climbing St Peter's Dome

Ascend the dome, either by taking the elevator or climbing the stairs. Once at the top, visitors would be able to enjoy panoramic views of Rome and the surrounding area.

Day 10: Skip The Line Colosseum, Roman Forum, & Palatine Hill

view of people on a private tour of the Colosseum visible through one of the structures arches

A tour of the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill would take you through some of the most iconic and historically significant sites in ancient Rome.

The iconic Colosseum, also known as the Flavian Amphitheatre, is perhaps the most famous site in the whole country. It is considered one of the greatest engineering feats of the Roman Empire and was used for gladiatorial contests, mock sea battles, animal hunts, and other public spectacles. Skip the Line tickets here are truly essential to ensure that your time is spent experiencing the site rather than queuing outside.

The next location is the Roman Forum, a rectangular forum surrounded by the ruins of several important ancient government buildings at the center of the city of Rome. It was for centuries the center of Roman public life: the site of triumphal processions and elections; the venue for public speeches, criminal trials, and gladiatorial matches; and the nucleus of commercial affairs. Walking amongst the ruins with your private guide enables them to bring the historic bustling streets to life for you.

The Palatine Hill is one of the seven hills of Rome and is where, according to Roman tradition, the city was founded in 753 BCE. The hill is a rich archaeological site, with the remains of several monumental buildings, including the palace of the Roman emperors.

Your guide reveals the history and stories of the fateful day Vesuvius erupted on your private tour of pompeii

Begin your day excursion to Pompeii with our private driver collecting you from your Rome accommodation and setting off for Pompeii,  located just over 2 hours away.

Along with your guide, visitors can explore the well-preserved ruins of houses, public buildings, and temples, as well as the remains of streets, and sidewalks, as you understand how life used to be in this formerly bustling metropolis before time stopped forever.

Some of the highlights of a tour include the Forum, the main public square; the House of the Faun, one of the grandest homes in Pompeii; and the Villa of the Mysteries, a luxurious residence with beautiful frescoes.

Along the way, visitors can also see casts of the victims of the eruption, which were created by filling the spaces left by their bodies with plaster.

Your chauffeur will take you to your accommodation in Pompeii for the evening.

Day 13: Best of the Amalfi Coast Tour

Positano Italy

The private Amalfi Coast Tour takes you on a journey along one of the most picturesque coastlines in the world, the 43-mile stretch of coastline along the peninsula beneath the Bay of Naples.

Next, you will travel to the picturesque cliffside village of Positano where you can admire the terracotta houses, shop at local boutiques, and visit the Church of Santa Maria Assunta, known for its Byzantine “Black Madonna” icon.
