Where Strategy, Architecture, and Community Come Together
Turning strategy into reality, uniting architecture, empowering community, 9 october — 2 november, a series of co-created transformation and architecture events across australia in october 2023 with whynde kuehn..
What began as a fleeting idea has become a reality with a one-month, co-created set of more than 30 events across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth. During a call in December 2022, there was a brief musing that maybe Whynde can come to Australia in 2023 . And that was the beginning of it all.
While the opportunity to leverage the expertise of a global thought leader in business architecture and strategy execution is precious, the spirit of these events is about building capacity, community, and new collaborations across Australia and connecting back to the broader global community.
We aim to create space for new conversations and learning around end-to-end strategy execution, transformation, and how we architect and design organizations for today and tomorrow. In addition, we aim to create awareness and mobilize efforts around the Women In Architecture global initiative in Australia. Finally, we just want to gather colleagues and friends to have fun, do good, and bring value in new ways to other people in our communities and organizations.
A very special thank you and huge shout out to Darryl Carr for his tireless and selfless dedication to advancing architecture and building community and diversity across Australia and globally. Without Darryl’s talents, connecting, and organizing, this incredible set of events would not have become a reality.

Converge Australian tour
Formed in the winter of 1990 in Boston, MA, during the rise and subsequent fall of the legendary Boston hardcore scene, Converge are unarguably one of the most important bands in the history of aggressive music. Through their albums - Petitioning the Empty Sky (1997), When Forever Comes Crashing (1998), Jane Doe (2001), You Fail Me (2004) and No Heroes (2006) have established Converge as trendsetters and innovators, setting new standards in hardcore and metal with each release. After nearly 20 years, such a glorious run of releases and a live show that's gone from flailing kids flailing against kids to legendary exorcism for both band and audience, Converge could be forgiven for releasing an endeavour that was simply good, okay, just maintaining their status quo. "Axe To Fall", the bands sixth studio album, takes the band's maverick attitude to new highs. Three years after the release of No Heroes, critics agree that metal and hardcore's most aggressive band, has delivered one o...

Mel B channels Scary Spice in series of leopard-printed outfits on book tour

Leopard power.
Mel B hasn’t let go of her inner Scary Spice, with the pop star promoting her memoir, “Brutally Honest,” during a slew of recent media appearances wearing several leopard-printed clothing items in recent days.
Arriving at the “Tamron Hall Show” Tuesday morning, the former Spice Girl — whose real name is Melanie Brown — sported a halter top leopard-printed catsuit, paired with a long black fur coat and gold chrome heels.
Brown, 48, exited the “Drew Barrymore Show” later on the same day in a similar getup, this time sporting a floor-length leopard-printed trench coat and the same stilettos.
The ”Wannabe’ singer styled the second look with a black bodysuit and a pair of reflective sunglasses and wore big hoop earrings with her curls up in a high ponytail.
The former “X-Factor” judge has been fully embracing the leopard look, with her back-to-back outfits on Tuesday just the latest in a slew of cat-tastic finds of late.
On Monday, the pop sensation was spotted in New York City sporting another set of statement-making coats, the first shorter leopard-printed coat, which she wore over a long-sleeved blue turtleneck top and knee-high lace-up boots.
She also arrived on set of “The View” on March 25 in a different trench coat and matching Christian Louboutin heels.
Despite her dedication to the animal print, none of Brown’s travel outfits were featured during her March 25 appearance on “Today with Hoda and Jenna,” where she jokingly walked off set after being asked about the potential of a Spice Girls reunion tour.
However, she did spill that “us five” — meaning herself, Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice) and Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice) — are currently “working on something that’s going to be announced soon.”

Taylor Swift's Dad Scott Will Not Face Charges Over Alleged Assault on Australian Photographer
The alleged incident occurred in Sydney, Australia, in late February.
Taylor Swift 's father, Scott Swift , will not face any charges after allegedly assaulting a paparazzi photographer in Australia last month.
In a statement to ET, a member of the New South Wales Police Media Unit told ET that Aussie police "conducted an investigation following a report of an assault" on Feb. 27 involving "Papa Swift," 72, and decided that "no further police action" was required or would be taken in the incident.
According to TheAustralian.com , the incident occurred at the Neutral Bay Wharf as Taylor and her dad were disembarking from a ferry and were bombarded by people waiting for them on land. The photographer involved, Ben McDonald, 51, talked with NCA Newswire after the fact and alleged that Scott became aggressive with him before jumping into a vehicle with Taylor.
In late February, a New South Wales Police Media Unit rep first confirmed that an investigation was underway in a statement, but did not share the names of those involved, only identifying the parties via their ages.
"Police are investigating an alleged assault on Sydney's North Shore this morning," a representative stated at the time. "Police have been told a 71-year-old man allegedly assaulted a 51-year-old man at Neutral Bay Wharf about 2.30am (Tuesday 27 February 2024), before leaving the location. The younger man reported the incident and inquiries are now underway by officers attached to North Shore Police Area Command."
In his interview with NewsWire, McDonald shared video of the alleged assault and told the outlet that he only recognized Scott as the alleged perpetrator upon reviewing the footage. Scott was in Sydney with his daughter, 34, for her Eras Tour shows at the time.
"I looked back at the pictures and saw he was holding hands with Taylor. It then became evident that was her father," McDonald said.
He added that he endured a "bruised ego more than anything."
Another video shared with 9News Sydney of the alleged assault shows a different angle in which Scott, Taylor and several security guards can be seen walking toward the singer's waiting vehicle as security team members hold back a photographer -- purportedly McDonald.
In a statement following the altercation, a spokesperson for Taylor told ET, "Two individuals were aggressively pushing their way towards Taylor, grabbing at her security personnel, and threatening to throw a female staff member into the water."

SNYDE | Taylor Swift’s dad won’t be charged for alleged paparazzo assault
Taylor Swift’s dad has got off scot-free after allegedly assaulting an Australian paparazzo during the superstar’s tour in Sydney last month.
Scott Swift, 72, will not be charged for the alleged Feb. 27 incident, New South Wales Police confirmed Tuesday to NCA NewsWire.
Papa Swift was accused of having hit Ben McDonald, who owns photo agency Matrix, at around 2:30 a.m. local time on a ferry wharf.
McDonald, 51, previously told the Sydney Morning Herald he “was just out on the job chasing” the “Anti-Hero” singer, 34, as “she got off a super-yacht … and walked up the wharf with an umbrella over her head and a couple of security [guards] around her.”
“Security sort of pushed us around with the umbrellas,” McDonald claimed. “Then her dad decided to add to the mix and throw a punch in. It was a shock … There was no need for it, the security had it under control.”
The Grammy winner’s camp had a different tune to sing , saying to multiple outlets at the time that “two individuals were aggressively pushing their way towards Taylor, grabbing at her security personnel, and threatening to throw a female staff member into the water.”
The spokesperson did not address the allegations directed at Scott at the time.
Though the situation was investigated by the North Shore Police Area Command officers, as NSW Police noted Tuesday, they ultimately decided against taking further action. The Herald initially reported that neither man had been injured.
Last month, the pop sensation’s record-breaking Eras Tour — the first to ever gross over $1 billion in revenue — hit Australia, playing seven shows between Sydney and Melbourne.
In addition to being the highest-grossing tour ever, Swift’s tour is the biggest to ever play in Australia , per the Herald, with the multi-hyphenate having played to an estimated 600,000 fans.

Anthony Albanese among several politicians to declare free Taylor Swift tickets
The PM was captured on video at Sydney Eras concert with his fiancee, Jodie Haydon, apparently on balcony of corporate box

Anthony Albanese accepted free tickets to Taylor Swift’s sold-out Sydney concert last month, one of several federal politicians who were gifted passes to the hotly anticipated Eras tour.
The prime minister declared “I’m a Swiftie” when the American pop star swept through Australia in February. He has now declared receiving tickets to her performance, disclosing “tickets to Taylor Swift concert in Sydney from Universal Music Group” under the “travel and hospitality” heading on his parliamentary register of interests.
Universal is Swift’s record label.
Albanese was captured on video by a fellow concertgoer at Swift’s Sydney gig, dancing along to Shake It Off alongside his fiancee, Jodie Haydon. The pair, amid a crowd of other fans, appeared to be on the balcony of one of the corporate boxes at Accor Stadium.

The sports minister, Anika Wells, also recently disclosed “two Tickets to Taylor Swift- The Eras Tour” on her register of interests, adding that she was “guest of Frontier Touring” – the promoter of the tour.
Alison Byrnes, the first-term Labor MP for the Illawarra seat of Cunningham, also attended Swift’s Sydney concert – courtesy of her husband, Paul Scully, a New South Wales state Labor MP and minister for planning and public spaces.
“My husband, Paul Scully MP, received two tickets and hospitality for the Taylor Swift concert at Accor Stadium Sydney on 25 February 2024. I attended as his guest,” Byrnes wrote on her federal interests register.
The federal Greens leader, Adam Bandt, declared four tickets to Swift’s Melbourne concert “at MCG from Frontier Touring.” His update to the register was dated Monday 25 March and uploaded to the register of interests on Tuesday after this article was first published.
Other federal politicians posted photos online attending Swift’s concerts, including Coalition MPs Andrew Wallace, Hollie Hughes and the former prime minister Scott Morrison.

Wallace’s office said he paid for tickets for himself and his family to attend a Melbourne concert; the member for the Queensland seat of Fisher ran a campaign online asking the singer to perform in his state. Hughes said her tickets were a Christmas gift from a family friend.
During the leadup to Swift’s Australian tour, when her performances were a leading news item for many media outlets, the prime minister spoke often of the American singer. On Nova radio, Albanese declared “I’m a Swiftie”. On Kyle and Jackie O’s program on KIIS FM, he said he would be attending the Sydney concert.

The deputy Liberal leader, Sussan Ley, at the time challenged the prime minister to give up his ticket to “a real Swiftie” instead.
Guardian Australia reported last month on federal politicians accepting dozens of free tickets over the summer to cricket and tennis matches, horse races and concerts from large companies, sporting organisations and alcohol brands.
Since then, more politicians have disclosed free tickets to popular events.
The Liberal MP Karen Andrews disclosed two tickets to Pink’s Gold Coast concert, courtesy of the Gold Coast Suns. Tony Burke, the federal minister for employment and the arts, disclosed a list of gifts including tickets to corporate suites for Paul McCartney and the Foo Fighters last year, courtesy of Frontier Touring and Sony Music respectively, as well as accommodation at the Woodford folk festival, and tickets to Womadelaide, Wicked and the Handa Opera.
The health minister, Mark Butler, also disclosed tickets to Womadelaide. The Labor MP Cassandra Fernando disclosed two tickets to dinner and a soccer game, courtesy of the Melbourne City Football Club. The resources minister, Madeleine King, received tickets to the Seven West Media corporate box for the WWE Elimination Chamber wrestling event in Perth.
Wells, in her register, disclosed tickets to SailGP from Australian Sailing, and two tickets to a Brisbane Broncos NRL match. The trade minister, Don Farrell, accepted two tickets and hospitality to the Kangaroo Island Racing Carnival, from marine transport provider Sealink. The shadow resources minister, Susan McDonald, disclosed domestic travel, convention registration and accommodation from the Minerals Council of Australia as she attended the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada convention in Toronto.

Making care real.
Our history.
Founded in 1960, Converge has a long history as a trusted provider of health and wellbeing services to Australian, New Zealand and global organisations across all industries and sizes.
Our Beliefs
We believe in caring for people. Not just because it’s good for the bottom line but because it’s the right thing to do.
We believe in making care real , but good intentions aren’t enough. Care only becomes real when it shows up in actions. Mental health and wellbeing must be an integral part of how people work every day.
We partner with organisations to create health and wellbeing programs that truly provide that care.
- We hire for heart
- We problem solve quickly
- We build bridges
- We challenge for growth
- We take risks and believe in second chances
We start by understanding the real issues. First, we assess what’s going on (informed by insights, data and often using technology). We then help you design a high-quality program that meets your needs and will make the most difference.
The good news is that programs can have a tremendous impact without costing a lot – in fact we usually start saving you money almost immediately.
That’s why so many organisations choose Converge as their workplace wellbeing provider.

Taylor Swift's Dad Won't Face Charges After Being Accused of Assaulting a Photographer in Australia
Taylor Swift ‘s father, Scott Swift, will not face charges after he was accused of assaulting a cameraman in Australia.
Authorities confirmed in a statement to Billboard on Tuesday (March 26) that New South Wales police have decided not to take any further action in regards to Scott, who was accused last month of assaulting a photographer while accompanying his daughter on a visit to the Neutral Bay Wharf in Sydney.
"Officers attached to North Shore Police Area Command have conducted an investigation following a report of an assault at Neutral Bay Wharf about 2.30am on Tuesday 27 February 2024," an NSW Police Force spokesperson said in a statement. "There will be no further police action."
Billboard has reached out to Swift's rep for comment.
The alleged incident occurred shortly after the pop star's final show at Accor Stadium, where she played four nights as part of her global Eras Tour. At the time, police confirmed in a statement to People that they were investigating a report that "a 71-year-old man allegedly assaulted a 51-year-old man at Neutral Bay Wharf" around 2:30 a.m. local time, noting that the younger man "did not require medical treatment."
Shortly afterward, one of the "Anti-Hero" singer's reps told Billboard : "Two individuals were aggressively pushing their way towards Taylor, grabbing at her security personnel, and threatening to throw a female staff member into the water."
Since performing in Sydney, Swift has taken her Eras trek to Singapore, and she'll next hold shows in Europe this summer. She's now in the midst of a two-month break from performances as she gears up to release her new album The Tortured Poets Department on April 19.
Scott has long been a fixture of the 14-time Grammy winner's touring enterprise, with fans reporting for years that the stockbroker enjoys passing out guitar picks to audience members at shows. At recent concerts, he's been spotted hanging out with Swift's boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
